A flexible printed circuit board whose end part side is connected to a print element substrate capable of ejecting ink using a print element, so as to be capable of transmitting a signal from a control part of a printing apparatus to the print element substrate via wiring and to be capable of transmitting a signal from the print element substrate to the control part via the wiring, wherein a side part side of high-potential wiring includes at least one of a regulation part that regulates penetration of ink and a wiring part that is configured with low-potential ground wiring and low-potential liquid signal line whose signal value transmitted by the control part or operation based on a signal is monitored.

Flexible printed circuit board and print head

A liquid ejection head includes an element substrate for ejecting a liquid, an integrated circuit board outputting a control signal for controlling the element substrate, and an electrical wiring board connected electrically to the element substrate. The electrical wiring board has a signal line connector to which control signals are inputted and electrical wiring board connectors to which an electric signal for driving the liquid ejection head is inputted. The signal line connector and the electrical wiring board connectors are disposed on opposite sides to each other relative to a center line extending orthogonally to a longitudinal direction of the electrical wiring board.

A liquid discharging head includes a recording element board in which a plurality of discharge ports configured to discharge liquid are arrayed in a first direction, a support member configured to support the recording element board and including a common liquid chamber extending in the first direction to supply the liquid to the plurality of discharge ports and a buffer chamber configured to have an opening in a ceiling surface of the common liquid chamber opposed to the recording element board and to hold a bubble, and a heater located in a region of the recording element board opposed to a part of the ceiling surface extending from the opening of the buffer chamber to an end portion in the first direction and configured to generate heat when the liquid is not discharged from the plurality of discharge ports.

A liquid discharge head includes a discharge unit that discharges a liquid as a result of electric energy being supplied to the discharge unit, a first wiring member that is joined to the discharge unit and that includes a plurality of first joining terminals each capable of transmitting the electric energy to the discharge unit, and a second wiring member that is electrically joined to the first wiring member and that includes a plurality of second joining terminals. At least three of the plurality of first joining terminals are inspection terminals that are short-circuited, and the second joining terminals are connected to contact terminals to each of which an external signal can be input.

A method for stabilizing a refilling speed within a predetermined range even with various physical properties of liquid to be ejected is provided for a liquid ejection head using a thermal system. To achieve this, a drive pulse is controlled for each nozzle array according to the combination of a predetermined material and structure of a bubble-generating chamber and the physical property of the liquid to be ejected such that an amount of an overshoot and the refilling speed are within a predetermined range.

The second part is fixed to the second surface at plural first fixing positions around the input portion. The second surface has a depressed portion formed closer to the bent portion than the first fixing positions. The second part is fixed to the housing at a second fixing position inside the depressed portion.

Liquid ejection head and method of producing the same

An embodiment of this invention is directed to preventing a decrease in the number of media printable with ink in an ink tank owing to an increase in waste ink in aging processing, and an increase in aging processing time. According to the embodiment, aging processing is executed as follows in a printing apparatus in which a printhead including a plurality of nozzles and a nozzle array formed from these nozzles and discharge ink is reciprocally scanned in a direction different from the direction of the nozzle array, and an image is printed by forward printing and backward printing. The aging processing is performed by changing the count at which the aging processing is performed, between nozzles at the edge side portion of the nozzle array and nozzles at the center side portion of the nozzle array.

Print head and inkjet printing apparatus

A process for producing a liquid ejection head by providing, in one chip, a liquid ejection head having a portion for ejection in which an ejection orifice array is arranged and a side portion having no ejection orifice array, these portions being provided with a member of a photosensitive material, arranging the chip on a common substrate in such a chip array that these two portions are alternately arranged, and separating each chip from the substrate, the process including the steps of relatively moving a reticle of an aligner along the chip array for a photosensitive material on the substrate to expose each chip, and developing the material to obtain the member. A first reticle for forming the portion for ejection and a second reticle for forming only the side portion are used. The exposure includes a first and a second exposure treatment respectively by the first and second reticles.

Process for producing liquid ejection head

Without being dependent on design changes, a liquid ejection head and a method of production thereof are provided in which when time-division driving, liquid drop landing deviance in the direction of printing is capable of being corrected. In order to achieve this, before performing an exposure in order to form an ejection port, after forming a cavity that is shifted with respect to the location at which the ejection port is formed, exposure is performed.
