A complex system where a plant group having a heat island phenomenon suppression effect and a solar cell having a carbon dioxide generation suppression effect are installed together. The purposes are to eliminate an adverse influence of both shadows of the plant group and the solar cell and to prevent the solar cell system from flying away by the wind pressure against the base side. The average height of the solar cell module is greater than that of the plant group. The plant group and the solar cell module are installed with a gap larger than the distance corresponding to the height difference between them. At least between the paired plant group and solar cell which face each other, an area for a person to walk through is provided. More than half of the ventilation area of the base side is covered with the plant group, a heat insulating material, and a moisture-retaining material.

The solar battery module includes a transparent insulating substrate having first and second surfaces, a transparent electrode layer formed on the first surface of the transparent insulating substrate, a photo semiconductor layer formed on the transparent electrode layer, a back electrode layer formed on the photo semiconductor layer, and an anti-glare film having a roughened surface texture formed on the second surface on the transparent insulating substrate to which the light enters. The light receiving surface of the solar battery module having the roughened surface texture has 60&deg; gloss of at most 60.

A roofing tile for performing solar-light power generation includes a roofing tile main body set tilted on a roof, and a photovoltaic module fixed to the main body. The roofing tile main body has a recess open upward. The photovoltaic module is stored and fixed in the recess. The roofing tile main body has an eaves-side edge portion. This edge portion has a plurality of drain ditches. Each drain ditch crosses the upper portion of the eaves-side edge portion and communicates with the recess. The level of the bottom surface of each drain ditch is equal to or lower than that of the bottom surface of the recess. With this construction, rainwater that has entered the recess is discharged through the drain ditches. Rainwater is drained by running the rainwater downward on the upper surface side of the eaves-side edge portion along the tilt direction of the roofing tile.

The upper surface of a tile body for use as a roofing material for a building is provided with a depression that holds therein a photovoltaic cell module having a function to convert solar energy into electrical energy. An adhesive is applied to the whole or part of the base of the depression, and the photovoltaic cell module, which has a terminal box on its lower surface, is fixed to the base of the depression by adhesive bonding.

A closely adherent metal coating having a uniform thickness and substantially free from pinholes is formed on the porous surface of a bonded magnet to improve its oxidation and corrosion resistance without lowering its magnetic properties. The coating is formed by electroplating from an aqueous solution not containing chlorine, and having a pH of 5 or above. More particularly, the solution contains mainly nickel sulfate, an electrolyte in the form of an organic acid salt not containing chlorine, and a basic electrolyte not containing chlorine, and forms a nickel coating on the magnet surface.

A highly rustproof resin-bonded magnet made by using a specific rustproofing resin for coating the particles of a magnetic powder, bonding them to form a molded body, or coating its surface, or for two or all of those purposes. The specific resin is selected from ones containing groups of atoms having a power of forming a coordinate bond and a reducing action. More specifically, it is (a) a high molecular compound produced by reacting with an epoxy resin one or more of a polyhydric phenol having adjacent hydroxyls, a polyhydric phenolic carboxylic acid having adjacent hydroxyls, an ester of a polyhydric phenol and a polyhydric alcohol having adjacent hydroxyls, and a polycyclic and polyhydric phenol having adjacent hydroxyls, (b) a redox resin as a reduction agent, or (c) a high molecular compound produced by curing a mixture of ascorbic acid, or a derivative thereof, and an epoxy resin.

Bonded rare earth magnet and a process for manufacturing the same

A sintered or bonded permanent magnet formed from a material consisting mainly of iron, particularly a Nd-Fe-B alloy, and having a high corrosion resistance has a surface coated with a resin obtained by the polycondensation of tannic acid, phenols and aldehydes. A bonded magnet is also made from a powder of any such material composed of particles coated with any such resin.
