The female electrical terminal has a cylindrical portion able to receive a male electrical terminal inserted from front to rear, and a left wall portion arranged so that a portion of the cylindrical portion runs along the outer surface of the male electrical terminal. The left wall portion has a left plate spring portion having a contact point pressing against the outer wall of the male electrical terminal and extending forward from the rear, and a slit surrounding the outer edge of the left plate spring portion to separate the other section of the left wall portion from the outer edge of the left plate spring portion. The other section of the left wall portion has a left protruding portion positioned forward relative to the tip of the left plate spring portion and bulging inwardly into the cylindrical portion. The left protruding portion is positioned at least on the edge of the slit.

Female electrical terminal

A connector assembly may have a cover installed to a connector for curving a cable extending from a lead-out portion of a housing in a direction different from a lead-out direction of the cable. The cover may have a hood portion that covers the lead-out portion of the housing and a slit that is formed in the hood portion and where through the cable is inserted. The housing may have an outer shell portion that is disposed on an outer side of the hood portion of the cover and covers at least a portion of the hood portion.

A housing includes a hole that can receive a terminal therein, and a locking member reception recessed portion that can receive a locking member therein, the locking member includes a first protrusion that is received in the recessed portion and engages with a first portion of the housing when in a temporary locking position making insertion/removal of the terminal to the hole possible, and a second protrusion that is received in the recessed portion and engages with a second portion of the housing when in a main locking position making insertion/removal of the terminal to the hole impossible, and the second protrusion is formed on a wide portion of a plate spring member held from both sides having both ends fixed and the middle free, the plate spring member having one end side as a narrow portion, and the other end side being the wide portion.

The second housing has a side panel extending in the mating direction and at least three second connector lock portions protruding from the outer surface of the side panel, the second connectors each being arranged in the transverse direction of the second housing and separated by an interval, and the first housing has a side panel extending in the mounting direction, a locking arm portion formed in the side panel and covering at least a portion of the outer surface of the side panel of the second housing when the first housing and the second housing are mated, and at least three first connector locking portions each formed in the locking arm portion in the transverse direction of the first housing and separated by an interval, and each engaging a second connector locking portion when the first housing and the second housing are mated.

Wire-to-board connector assembly

The male housing of the connector includes a flexible brace that extends in insertion direction of the male housing in a position separated from the main body and is connected to the main body at a front side and a backside of the insertion direction and has a latching block that fits into a latching hole formed on the side of a female housing, formed on a side separated from the main body of a midway part, where the midway part can be flexibly deformed so as to be close to the main body.

Connector

A substrate connector includes a housing (), a plurality of terminals () which project from the housing and are connected to a substrate, and a guide plate () which is secured to the housing for guiding at least some of the terminals. The guide plate includes a main part formed in a meandering shape, and end portions which are joined to opposite sides of the main part and are attached to guide plate attaching portions arranged on opposite sides of the housing.

Substrate connector

A floating connector that utilizes multiple cables or ribbon cable is described, the connector has two termination ends, each with a housing and conductive terminals. The housings have a stepped configuration having at least two different levels on which free ends of the cables are terminated to the terminals of the housing. The terminals extend from the steps to terminating faces that are mate with opposing receptacle connectors. The two housing are flexibly interconnected so that they may deflect relative to each other.

Floating connector

An electrical connector is provided for mounting on a printed circuit board and for terminating a flat electrical circuit. The connector includes a dielectric housing for mounting on a printed circuit board and having an opening at a front portion thereof for receiving an end of the flat circuit. A mounting slot is provided at the front portion of the housing. A plurality of terminals are mounted on the housing and are spaced along the opening. A grounding retention member is mounted at the front of the housing and includes a locking portion, a grounding portion and a terminal portion. The locking portion is insertable into the mounting slot at the front portion of the housing. The grounding portion secures the connector to a ground circuit on the printed circuit board. The terminal portion engages a ground conductor on the flat circuit inserted into the opening at the front of the housing.

A card connector is provided which includes a stopper mechanism for functioning in such a manner that in a case where a memory card is inserted and attached to a connector, the memory card is prevented from being detached from the connector, or even when the card is detached, the detachment is restricted within a detachment allowable range where electrical connection is not influenced. The card connector is carried in a portable information terminal apparatus to prevent connector detachment caused due to an external impact.

Disclosed is a card ejection mechanism comprising: a metal shell having a guide section on one side thereof; an ejection rod slidably movable within the guide section; and an ejection lever rotatable with respect to the inner surface of the metal shell and operatively connected to the ejection rod that the ejection lever rotates during actuation of the ejection rod. Ejection rod is a rectangular metal piece stamped out of a metal sheet. Guide section is composed of an inner wall which faces an inner surface of the ejection rod, outer sections facing the outer surface of the ejection rod, and a cantilever-like resilient extension provided on the same side as the outer wall sections to bias the ejection rod against the inner wall. These inner wall and outer wall sections are spaced a distance apart approximately equal to the thickness of the ejection rod. This arrangement minimizes the dimensions of the guide section and the connector incorporating the ejection mechanism, and also improves the efficiency of the ejection mechanism by providing a tight fit of the ejection rod within the guide section.
