A refrigerant circulating system that uses a highly polar refrigerant, as typified by a hydrofluorocarbon-based one, and a refrigerating oil that has slight solubility with a liquid refrigerant on the condensation side. Also, a refrigerant circulating cycle that uses a highly polar refrigerant, as typified by a hydrofluorocarbon-based one, and a refrigerating oil that has a slight solubility with a liquid refrigerant and which has a greater specific gravity than the liquid refrigerant. Thereby, it provides a high electrical insulation and moisture resistance, good oil return to the compressor, and high reliability.

Refrigerant circulating system

A closed type rotary compressor comprises: a closed housing, a driving electric motor housed in the housing and having a rotor rotating together with a rotary shaft, an upper bearing wall and a lower bearing wall housed in the housing for supporting the respective ends of the rotary shaft, a cylinder fixed between the upper and lower bearing walls and having a compression chamber therein, a rolling piston arranged in the compression chamber and eccentrically rotating together with the rotary shaft, and a rotating member arranged between the rotor and the upper bearing wall and rotating together with the rotor, wherein the cylinder is provided with an intake passage for feeding a refrigerant gas into the compression chamber, and a valve chamber for discharging the refrigerant gas through a discharge valve, the valve communicating a discharge passage formed in the upper bearing wall, and wherein the rotor is provided with a wider portion for covering an opening of the passage in the upper bearing wall and a narrower portion for exposing the opening, the mounting angle of the rotating member to the rotor and the eccentricity of the rolling piston to the rotary shaft are determined so that the wider portion keeps covering the opening until the discharge valve starts opening.

A two-cylinder type rotary compressor has two compression elements each provided with a cylinder. First and second intake conduits are respectively formed in the cylinders so as to be in parallel to an intermediate partition plate disposed between the cylinders. Each one end of first and second intake tubes is connected to each of the intake conduits and each other end of the intake tubes is connected to a common intake pipe which is provided outside a hermetic casing.

Two-cylinder type rotary compressor

An oil hole is formed in a thrust-bearing surface in the eccentric part of a rotary shaft so that a given amount of lubricating oil is always maintained in the oil hole, whereby shortage of oil does not occur at the time of restarting of the rotary compressor after a long term pause of the operation.

Rotary compressor

An eccentric part of a crank shaft rotated in a cylinder is made a large diameter and a thin-walled rolling piston is fitted to the outer circumference of the eccentric part so that an injection opening for supplying a refrigerant into the cylinder is covered in a certain section by only a side surface of the eccentric part or both the side surfaces of the rolling piston and the eccentric part.

The discharge gas which has been compressed by the compressor main body is cooled by heat dissipation through the heat exchanger, after which it is again returned to the compressor. When the lubricant oil is sucked under pressure of the discharge gas, it is also cooled. Each and every component part of the compressor main body and the electric motor is cooled by causing the cooled discharge gas to pass there through, whereby the temperature rise in the compressor as a whole can be suppressed.

An eccentric part of a crank shaft rotated in a cylinder is made large in diameter and a thin-walled rolling piston is fitted to the outer circumference of the eccentric part so that an injection opening for supplying a refrigerant into the cylinder, the opening being formed in a bearing plate, is covered by only a side surface of the rolling piston or both the side surfaces of the rolling piston and the eccentric part.

The lubricating oil pool 11 in the bottom of the shell 1 of a rolling piston refrigerant gas compressor is communicated directly with the space 16 inside the cylindrical piston 4 via a supply passage 10c in a side plate 10. Sufficient clearance is provided between the ends of the piston and the compressor side plates 9, 10 to enable limited communication between the space 16 and the compression and suction chambers 6, 18. The compressor discharge is supplied to the space 7 within the shell, and the resultant differential pressure applied to opposite ends of the supply passage causes a steady flow of oil into the piston interior to properly lubricate the moving parts of the compressor.

Differential pressure lubrication system for rolling piston compressor

The vane slot 20 and lubricating oil passageway 21 in the cylinder member 3 of a rotary vane compressor are configured such that the radial length of the slot wall 20a on the low pressure side of the vane 5 is less than that of the opposite wall 20b on the high pressure side. Such a shortened low pressure side slot wall reduces wear by providing improved lubrication at the critical inward edge of the slot (F1), and facilitates the flushing away of abrasive particles formed during the initial seating of the vane. For a horizontal installation the lubricating oil level is maintained below the radially outermost edge of the wall 20a to prevent the oil from being drawn into the low pressure chamber 17 when the compressor is stopped.

Lubrication for rotary compressor vane

A discharging valve device for a compressor discharges gas compressed in a compression chamber outside said chamber against an urging force of a discharging valve to a valve seat and resistance of breaking a film of a lubricating oil deposited at and near a cacting area formed between the valve seat and the discharging valve. The discharging valve device comprises a discharging port communicated with a compression chamber, a valve seat formed at the peripheral portion of said discharging port and having a curvature in cross section, and a discharging valve which is forcibly in contact with a part of said valve seat so as to open and close said discharging port depending on pressure in said compression chamber, wherein a contacting width of the sealing part formed by the contact through an oil film between said discharging valve and said valve seat is smaller than a contacting width of an oil film formed in case of combination of a flat discharging valve with a valve seat having a uniform curvature in cross section.

Discharging valve device for a compressor

A strainer device for a rotary type compressor includes a rolling piston which rotates with rotation of a rotational shaft, a cylinder plate provided in correspondence to the direction of the outer periphery of the rolling piston, a pair of side plates supporting the rotational shaft, and disposed on both side surfaces of the cylinder plate to define a compression chamber. A suction pipe passes through a shell housing with one end thereof being connected with a suction port formed in one of the side plates to introduce intake gas. A communication path leads the intake gas from the suction port to the compression chamber and a strainer removes foreign substances contained in the intake gas, the strainer being provided in a path formed in the cylinder plate or the side plate, not in the suction pipe, through which the intake gas flows.

A hermetic motor compressor including a closed housing which covers motor and compressor means; and a partition wall which separates a lower temperature compartment in which at least part of a motor is held and a recycling coolant is fed through an inlet port formed on said housing; and a higher temperature compartment in which a compressor and a coolant muffler and a loop part of an outlet pipe are held.
