A turning method for turning a steered wheel of a vehicle includes detecting a steering angle of a steering wheel; detecting an actual turning angle. The actual turning angle is an actual turning angle of the steered wheel. The method includes calculating a target turning angle of the steered wheel according to the detected steering angle. The method includes calculating a turning force command value to cause the actual turning angle to coincide with the target turning angle, based on a difference between the actual turning angle and the target turning angle. The method includes delaying a phase of the turning force command value with respect to the detected steering angle; and generating turning force to turn the steered wheel in accordance with the turning force command value having a phase delayed.

Turning method and turning device

A steering control method controls the steering of a vehicle having a steer-by-wire steering mechanism. A steering reaction force is set that includes a restoration component for restoring a steering angle of the steering wheel to a reference angle, a viscous component corresponding to a steering angular velocity of the steering wheel, and a friction component corresponding to the steering angular velocity. An actuator is controlled to apply a rotational torque to the steering wheel for generating the steering reaction force. A turning angle of the steered wheel is controlled in accordance with the steering angle. A target travel path is set upon determining the driver is not operating the steering wheel. The actuator is controlled such that the steering angle becomes a target steering angle for causing the vehicle to travel along the target travel path to suppress the friction component of the steering reaction force.

Steering control method and steering control device

A steering control method for a vehicle including a steer-by-wire type wheel-turning mechanism in which a steering wheel and steered wheels are mechanically disconnected, the method including: detecting an actual steering angle of the steering wheel; calculating a target steering angle of the steering wheel on a basis of a target wheel-turning angle of the steered wheels; applying a steering reaction force to the steering wheel according to an angle deviation between the actual steering angle and the target steering angle; detecting a steering operation of the steering wheel by a driver; and when the steering operation by the driver is detected, reducing the steering reaction force according to the angle deviation compared with when the steering operation by the driver is not detected.

A steering control method including: applying a steering reaction force obtained by adding a first steering reaction force according to a steering angle of a steering wheel and a second steering reaction force according to a steering angular acceleration of the steering wheel to the steering wheel; determining a possibility that an emergency steering operation of the steering wheel by a driver will be performed; and when it is determined that there is the possibility of the emergency steering operation being performed, making the second steering reaction force small compared with when it is not determined that there is the possibility of the emergency steering operation being performed.

A relay control method is provided for controlling an in-vehicle motor that includes a steering angle main control module. The main control module has a power supply relay is connected to a battery, a motor drive circuit connected to a fixed contact of the power supply relay via a bus bar, and a phase relay connected to the motor drive circuit via a bus bar. The motor drive circuit contacts a heat radiation part that has a higher thermal conductivity than the power supply relay. After the ignition is turned off and with the switches for the power supply relay and the phase relay remaining in the on state, a motor energization control is performed for maintaining a rotation stop state in the motor for a predetermined time, and after the predetermined time has elapsed, the switch of the power supply relay is switched to off.

Method and device for controlling relays of in-vehicle motor

In order to suppress misoperation of stability control resulting from neutral position displacement, between the steering input mechanism configured so that a steering shaft rotates in accordance with the steering manipulation of the driver and a turning output mechanism configured so that wheels are turned with the rotation of the pinion shaft, a clutch is inserted that disconnectably joins the steering shaft and the pinion shaft. A first turning motor and a second turning motor are provided that can give a turning force to the turning output mechanism, and the first turning motor and the second turning motor are driven and controlled so that a turning angle in accordance with the steering manipulation by the driver is realized while the clutch is disconnected. When neutral position displacement occurs of the neutral position of the steering shaft and the neutral position of the pinion shaft, the stability control is suppressed.

Under an automatic turning control, a steering controller defines a value of steering angle set according to a target turning angle of the automatic turning control, as a value of steering angle at which a reaction force is equal to 0. Vehicle steering control device and method

A vehicle steering controller produces a steering system friction value and a tire lateral force value. A steering reactive force having a magnitude based on the tire lateral force value and the steering system friction value is generated for application to a steering wheel of the vehicle. By reflecting both the tire lateral force and the steering system friction in the steering reactive force, a good steering sensation can be realized in a steer-by-wire system.

A steering control apparatus is provided, including a steering wheel, steered wheels, a direction varying actuator to operate the steering control wheels, a steering reaction actuator to apply steering reaction torque to the steering wheel and steering controller.
