In an oil cooler installation structure for a vehicular transmission, an oil cooler by means of which oil is cooled is provided, oil being delivered between the oil cooler and an internal of a transmission housing, and an oil cooler installation portion is provided in the internal of the transmission housing and in which a first oil passage for supplying oil in the internal of the transmission housing to the oil cooler via a first opening portion opened at an external of the transmission housing and a second oil passage for supplying oil from the oil cooler to the internal of the transmission housing via a second opening portion opened at the external of the transmission housing are formed, the oil cooler being attached onto the oil cooler installation portion to enable a delivery of oil via the first opening portion and the second opening portion.

Installation structure of oil cooler of vehicular transmission

A four wheel drive transmission housing includes a transmission housing member, and a converter housing member including an engine mount portion on a first side of the converter housing; a transfer mount portion defining a first side joint surface on the first side; and a transmission housing mount portion defining a second side joint surface on a second side of the converter housing member. First and second reinforcing ribs are formed between the first side joint surface and the second side joint surface. The first reinforcing rib extends in a vertically extending first direction, from a rib connecting portion. The second reinforcing rib extends in a horizontally extending second direction from the rib connecting portion. The first and second reinforcing ribs are provided so as to surround a drive shaft to transmit driving power from the transmission mechanism to the transfer.

Transmission housing structure for four wheel drive system

In a transmission unit for a hybrid vehicle, an electromagnetic clutch, a motor, and a continuously variable transmission CVT are disposed in the transmission unit and a resolver to detect a position of a rotor of the motor is disposed on an input axle to input a revolution from the electromagnetic clutch to the motor and to the CVT and is disposed on the input axle at an inner side with respect to a stator of the motor.

Transmission unit for hybrid vehicle

A transmission unit includes a transmission mechanism and a hydraulic control valve unit for controlling the transmission mechanism. The hydraulic control valve unit is disposed at a plane parallel to an axis of the transmission mechanism. A housing encloses the transmission mechanism and has a depressed portion which is overlapped with the hydraulic control unit installed to the housing. An electric oil pump is disposed on the depressed portion of the housing so that a part of the hydraulic control valve unit is overlapped with a part of the electric oil pump.

Transmission unit

A transmission unit for a hybrid vehicle has a single-shaft structure wherein the input from an electromagnetic clutch to a motor and a CVT is effected through a single input shaft. The input shaft is supported by first and second bearing members on both sides of the CVT, and a third bearing member provided between the input shaft and a first partition wall. Each of the first and second bearing members is fit in a hole of the housing in a manner to prevent radial motion of the input shaft, whereas the third bearing member is surrounded by a clearance for allowing radial motion of the input shaft relative to the housing. In the clearance, there is provided a seal member for preventing passage of foreign objects from the clutch chamber into the motor chamber.

A transmission unit for a hybrid vehicle includes a housing formed with a water jacket for cooling a stator of a motor. The water jacket includes a hollow annular passage having a water inlet and a water outlet. The water jacket has at least one uneven or depressed portion for avoiding an adjacent component. At the uneven portion, the cross sectional shape of the flow passage is varied gradually and smoothly so that the cross-sectional area of the flow passage remains constant. The water jacket further includes an inflow passage extending in a tangential direction to the water inlet, and an outflow passage extending in a radial direction from the water outlet.

An automatic power transmission includes a primary transmission unit having plurality of gear elements for establishing predetermined speed ratios and a subsidiary transmission unit having an under-drive gear element for establishing at least one and a direct drive. Each gear element is associated with a friction element which controls associated one of the gear element for establishing one of a plurality of predetermined speed ratios. The friction element is connected to a hydraulic circuit which controls position of the friction element between engaged position and released position for establishing the one of speed ratios. The hydraulic circuit comprises a primary hydraulic unit mounted on a primary transmission casing and housing a plurality of control valves for variation pressure supply for respective friction elements, the primary hydraulic unit, and a subsidiary hydraulic unit mounted on a subsidiary transmission casing and including a pressure accumulator, a flow restriction orifice and an one-way check valve.
