A motor includes a rotor and a stator, the stator having a stator core and an electrical insulator assembly at each end of the stator core. The electrical insulator assemblies each have an outer wall part extending in a circumferential direction and facing a yoke of the stator core and a plurality of extending parts extending radially inward from the outer wall part and facing teeth of the stator core. The outer wall part has a radial thickness and includes a plurality of radial notches for guiding extensions of the stator winding between an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface of the outer wall part. The outer peripheral surface of the outer wall part adjacent to the notches is configured such that the radial thickness of the outer wall part gradually decreases toward the notch along a circumferential direction of the yoke.

Motor and compressor

Projections are provided on bottom surfaces of U-phase through-grooves. This configuration ensures a sufficient engagement amount of each projection with a corresponding insertion portion as compared to a case in which the projections are provided on the end of an insulator on the side opposite to a stator core. As a result, each projection is stably engaged with the corresponding insertion portion. This allows the cover to be stably attached to the insulator.

Motor-driven compressor

A motor includes a stator having a core and a plurality of radially inwardly extending teeth defining slots therebetween. Each tooth has a tip having a pair of circumferentially protruding tooth projections. A first insulation sheet is inserted between each pair of the teeth and has a body part and a pair of first end parts formed by folding both ends of the body part toward each other. A second insulation sheets is arranged between the winding parts of adjacent teeth and has a body part and a pair of second end parts formed by folding both ends of the body part away from each other. The tooth projections, the second end parts and the first end parts are arranged in this order from radially inside to outside and overlap radially.

Insulating a stator of an electric motor with insulating assemblies and insulating sheets

An electric compressor includes a rotary shaft, a compression part, a motor including a stator, and a housing. The stator includes a stator core, coils corresponding to a plurality of phases, an insulator, coil ends, first leads of the winding wires, a neutral connection portion, and a cover member. The cover member has a cover end surface opposite from the coil ends. The cover end surface has an accommodation portion in which the neutral connection portion is accommodated. The first leads each include a covered portion, and a non-covered portion. The non-covered portion includes an extension portion continuous with the neutral connection portion extending out from the accommodation portion by a predetermined length. The cover end surface includes a first surface, and a second surface. At least the first surface has a through hole. The first surface is positioned farther from the coil ends than the second surface is.

Electric compressor

A motor-driven compressor with a housing and an electric motor includes a stator that includes a stator core including a yoke and teeth, an insulator including an insulator base in contact with an end face of the yoke, and three-phase windings, each being wound around the corresponding teeth in a concentrated manner so as to form coils. The winding of each phase forms connection wires locked on an outer circumferential surface of the insulator base. Each connection wire connects adjacent coils of the corresponding phase. The outer circumferential surface includes a locking surface including accommodation grooves, each accommodating the corresponding connection wire, and a non-locking surface that does not lock the connection wires. The stator core includes an engagement recess that engages with part of a jig. The engagement recess is located radially outward from the insulator base on the end face and located radially outward from the non-locking surface.

Motor-driven compressor and method for manufacturing motor-driven compressor

A motor-driven compressor includes a plurality of motor wires and an insulating terminal container. The motor wires include portions covered with an insulating tube and distal ends at which a connection terminal is provided. The terminal container includes a cluster block and a terminal holder. The cluster block accommodates the connection terminal and has an opening. The terminal holder holds the connection terminal and has a lid that closes the opening. The cluster block includes a base portion. The lid has a cutout that receives the tube. The lid is in contact with the base portion such that a part of a hole defined by the cutout is closed by the base portion.

An electric compressor includes a housing, an electric motor, and an inverter. The housing includes a motor chamber. The electric motor includes a stator that includes a stator core, a plurality of first coils, a plurality of second coils, and a plurality of third coils. The first coils are connected in series, the second coils are connected in series, and the third coils are connected in series. One of the first coils that is located electrically closest to the first phase is referred to as a first specific coil, one of the second coils that is located electrically closest to the second phase is referred to as a second specific coil, and one of the third coils that is located electrically closest to the third phase is referred to as a third specific coil. The first to third specific coils are disposed above the shaft center of the drive shaft.

The cluster block accommodates connection terminals and has conductive member insertion holes, into which the conductive members are inserted. The cluster block is disposed between the bottom wall of the housing and second coil ends. The conductive member insertion holes are located on the radially outer side of the inner circumferential surface of the stator core. The cluster block includes a second wall portion in the vicinity of the electric motor and a first wall in the vicinity of the bottom wall of the housing. The second wall portion has a pressed surface on the radially inner side of the inner circumferential surface of the stator core. The outer surface of the first wall portion has a contact surface that is lined up with the pressed surface in the axial direction of the stator core. The contact surface is allowed to contact the bottom wall of the housing.

Motor-driven compressor and method of assembling motor-driven compressor

A motor-driven compressor includes a cluster block, which accommodates a connecting terminal. The connecting terminal connects an electric motor to a motor driving circuit. A second insulator includes a tubular base, extended portions, which extend from the base, and insulator flanges. Each insulator flange is located on an opposite end of each extended portion from the base. The cluster block is fastened to some of the insulator flanges on the opposite side of the insulator flanges from the extended portions. The cluster block includes a second wall, which faces some of the insulator flanges. The second wall includes engagement pieces, which project in the radial direction of the rotary shaft. The engagement pieces are each fitted to an opening portion, which is a gap between the insulator flanges that are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction of the rotary shaft.

A motor-driven fluid machine has three motor wires. The innermost one of the three motor wires in the radial direction of a rotary shaft on a specific section of an outer end portion of a coil end is defined as a first motor wire. The first motor wire has a first extension, which extends from an inner side toward an outer side in the radial direction of the rotary shaft at a position between the specific section and a downstream side in the extending direction of the motor wires, and a second extension, which is continuous from the first extension and extends from the outer side toward the inner side in the radial direction of the rotary shaft to be connected to a corresponding conductive member.

Motor-driven fluid machine

A motor-driven compressor includes an electric motor, a compression unit, a lead wire, a connection terminal, a cluster block, a housing, a motor drive circuit, a conductive terminal, and a coupling member. The lead wire is extended from a coil end of the stator. The connection terminal is electrically connected to the lead wire. The cluster block accommodates the connection terminal. The conductive terminal electrically connects the connection terminal and the motor drive circuit. The coupling member is arranged between the stator and the cluster block. The cluster block is coupled to the stator by the coupling member. The coupling member is configured to change an coupling position of the cluster block relative to the stator so that the connection terminal faces the conductive terminal.

A motor-driven compressor includes an electric motor, a compression mechanism driven by the electric motor so as to compress refrigerant gas, a metal housing accommodating the electric motor and the compression mechanism, a suction passage communicable with interior of the housing wherein refrigerant gas flows through the suction passage, a discharge passage communicable with the interior of the housing wherein refrigerant gas discharged from the compression mechanism flows through the discharge passage and a check valve that is provided in at least one of the suction passage and the discharge passage, opened while the compressor is in operation and closed while the compressor is at a stop.

A stator core includes an insertion hole that has an opening in an outer peripheral surface of the stator core and a bent portion in the stator core. A cluster block includes an insertion piece, which is inserted into the insertion hole via the cornered portion. The cluster block is attached to the stator core by engaging the insertion piece with the insertion hole.

Motor-driven compressor and mounting method for motor-driven compressor

An electric motor for a motor-driven compressor is provided. The electric motor includes a stator and a rotor. The stator is fixed to a housing. The rotor is arranged outward of the stator. The rotor is mounted on a rotary shaft to rotate integrally with the rotary shaft. The stator includes slots and a stator coil wound about the slots. The rotor includes a rotary support and a magnet. The rotary support is fixed to the rotary shaft to rotate integrally with the rotary shaft. The magnet is supported by the rotary support. The arrangement of the magnetic poles of the magnet in the circumferential direction is a Halbach array.

Electric motor for a motor-driven compressor and said motor-driven compressor

The permanent magnet embedded rotating electrical machine includes a rotor and a plurality of flat permanent magnets. The rotor has on an outer periphery thereof a plurality of pairs of concave portions and a plurality of convex portions. Each of the convex portions is located between the pair of concave portions. The concave portions are formed at radially outward of respective adjacent magnetic pole ends of the permanent magnet. A bridge is provided in the rotor at an angular position about an axis of the rotor between opposed magnetic pole ends of two adjacent permanent magnets. Each concave portion at radially outward of the magnetic pole end of the permanent magnet is located close to the center of the same permanent magnet in relation to the bridge next to the permanent magnet in the circumferential direction of the rotor.
