In a vehicle lamp, an optical axis adjustment screw for pivoting an optical member around a pivotal axis extending in a vehicle width direction is supported by a lamp body in a state of extending in a vertical direction on the rear side of the vehicle lamp with respect to pivotal axis. A protruding piece extending toward the rear of the vehicle lamp is formed in the optical member, and a groove portion to be screwed with a threaded portion of the optical axis adjustment screw is formed in the rear end surface of the protruding piece. The groove portion of the protruding piece and the threaded portion of the optical axis adjustment screw can be maintained in the screwed state.

Vehicle lamp

An adjustment mechanism configured to adjust a reference position of an optical axis of a projection lens of a lens unit has a reference axis perpendicular to the optical axis and disposed in a plane which intersects with a focal point of the projection lens. The lens unit moves in an extension direction of the reference axis in accordance with rotation of a second screw. An acting point of a force to move the lens unit is disposed in a plane formed by the optical axis and the reference axis.

Lamp device for vehicle and lighting device for vehicle

Provided is a vehicle lamp including an operation unit configured to operate an optical axis adjustment bevel gear provided in a lamp to be axially rotated. An axial rotation force transfer body of the operation unit includes an operation rod operated to be axially rotated, a driving rod engaged with the gear, and a wire interconnecting the operation rod and the driving rod in an axial rotation direction, and the driving rod is formed of a metal which is hard to rust. The driving rod is formed by a metal/injection/molding (MIM) technique. A support member extends between the driving rod and the lamp.

A nut member 10 facilitates an adjustment of the optical axis of a light, has excellent handleability, and includes a flange portion 11 to be supported by an attachment portion 6 disposed on the back side of a vehicle lamp member 1, and a leg portion 15 protruding to the front from the flange portion 11 and to be elastically deformed and fastened to the attachment portion 6, the lamp member 1 having an optical axis 100 to be adjusted by handling a screw 8 inserted into an insertion hole 22 formed over from an inside of the flange portion 11 to the leg portion 15. Before an insertion of the screw 8, a screw thread 14 of a female screw portion 13 has been formed on an inner surface of a flange insertion pass (insertion hole 22) to extend one round in a circumferential direction.

Nut member

Disclosed is a vehicle lamp capable of improving a production efficiency, reducing a cost, and shortening a production line as compared to a case in which a dedicated mechanical equipment is used. The vehicle lamp includes an optical unit, a pivot member fixed to a bracket of the optical unit, a lamp body having a bearing insertion hole, and a bearing member which is fixed to the lamp body to be engageable with the pivot member. The pivot member and the bearing member are engaged with each other to constitute at least one supporting unit of an aiming mechanism. In addition, the optical unit is tiltably supported by the aiming mechanism and the bearing member is fixed to the lamp body by being inserted into the bearing insertion hole.

An optical axis adjusting screw () is provided with a shaft portion (), a gear portion (), and an elastic engagement portion (). The elastic engagement portion () is provided with a base end (BE) and a free end (FE). The base end (BE) is fixed to the shaft portion (). A distal end face () is formed at the free end (FE) and is substantially perpendicular to an axial direction of the shaft portion (). There is no parting line on the distal end face ().

Optical axis adjusting screw

A universal joint component is used for connecting two members, such as a reflector and a lamp body. The universal joint component includes a shaft, an installation section formed on one end of the shaft, and a spherical head formed on the other end of the shaft. The spherical head includes a joint base, a top end, and at least one gap formed on a side of the spherical head between the top end and the joining base. The gap is formed of a groove or through hole so as to straddle a phantom line substantially passing through a center of the spherical head and perpendicularly intersecting a shaft axis of the shaft. Split head sections are defined by the at least one gap so that the split head sections flexibly deform when the spherical head is inserted into a spherical socket.

Universal joint component and automotive lamp unit

A vehicular lamp having a distance adjustment section that adjusts the distance between the lamp body and the reflector and includes an adjustment shaft, a gear member, and a receiving element. The adjustment shaft has a spherical end; the gear member includes a shaft portion that has the adjustment shaft therein, elastic pawls protruding from the shaft portion, and empty spaces defined by the elastic pawls to allow flexure of the elastic pawls toward the shaft portion; and the receiving element is formed on the back surface of the reflector. The gear member having the adjustment shaft is rotatably inserted in an insertion hole of the lamp body, the elastic pawls are engaged with the edge of the insertion hole to prevent the gear member from slipping out; and the spherical end of the adjustment shaft is engaged with the receiving element and prevented from rotating.

Vehicular lamp

A headlamp includes a lamp housing defining a lamp body and a front lens. A reflector is accommodated in the lamp housing and a light source is attached thereto. An aiming mechanism tiltably supports the reflector relative to the lamp body, and includes an aiming fulcrum, aiming screws, and nut members attached to the reflector. The nut members are guided by sliding guides in the lamp body, and stress releasing devices having a ball-and-socket joint structure are provided in an attachment portion of the nut members and brackets. A ball portion of a ball-and-socket joint is formed in a nut member body itself provided with a female screw portion, a slider supported by the sliding guides is formed integrally with a side of the ball portion, and the ball portion is supported on a ball receiving portion of bearings attached to the brackets.
