The present invention provides to a battery module which is excellent in cooling performance of a battery and is improved in assembling easiness at low cast. A battery moduleaccommodates assembled battery blocksarranged in series in an exterior case formed in an approximately hexahedral shape in parallel, each assembled battery blockincluding six assembled battery units electrically connected in series and each assembled battery unit including four cylindrical unit cells arrange such that their polarities are alternating. An exterior case is formed by connecting a lower lidhaving a front face, a bottom face, and a back face and an upper lidhaving a left side face, an upper face, and a right side face. End portions of the left side face, the upper face, and the right side face of the upper lid are drawn at the sides of the front face and the back face of the lower lid.

Battery module

The present invention provides a secondary battery module which is excellent in vibration resistance. A battery modulehas assembled battery blockseach constituted by screw-fixing the assembled batteriesto the block basessupporting a lower portion thereof and the two block reinforcing platessupporting an upper portion thereof, the six assembled batteriesare sandwiched by and fixed firmly to the block basesand the block reinforcing plates. The assembled batteriesdo not move freely even if vibration is added to the battery module. Because the elastic sheetis laid between the block basesand the assembled batteries, since a space derived due to variance in size accuracy of frameswhich hold and fix the unit cellsand derived due to variance in size accuracy of the block basescan be removed, and vibration resistance can be enhanced. To thermal stress change caused due to combination of different materials, influence thereof can be reduced by laying the elastic sheet

Vibration resistant secondary battery module

The present invention provides an assembled battery with reduced weight and high reliability that can achieve improvement of assembling easiness at low cost. An assembled battery is provided with a frame holding a plurality of unit cellshaving positive polarity at one end and negative polarity at the other end. The frame is composed of two outer frameshaving the same shape and an inner frame. The unit cellsconstituting an assembled batteryare disposed on both sides of the inner frame, and one outer frameand the other outer frameare disposed such that the unit cells are sandwiched between the former outer frameand the inner frameand between the latter outer frameand the inner frame. The two outer framesare joined to the inner framethrough side face coupling portionsand vertical coupling portions. The inner frameis fixed with positive electrode bus bars, negative electrode bus bars, and inter-unit cell bus barsfor electrically connecting the unit cellsin series, and lead wires for voltage detection with a connectorfor detecting voltages of the unit cells
