A vehicle-applied display unit is provided, wherein the image light of an inverted display image emitted from a display device in a dashboard and passed an opening of the dashboard is reflected toward an eye point I by means of a combiner standing from a recess of the dashboard positioned ahead of the eye point I. The combiner is arranged outside the forward sight from the eye point I and on an optical path of a portion, of outer light entering a vehicle-inside from a vehicle-outside, going toward the display device through the opening at least over a whole extent, in a vehicle-width direction, of the portion of the outer light for at least partially enclosing the opening over a front through both sides portions thereof, and a polarizing plate is coated on an inner surface of the combiner.

Vehicle-applied display unit

A display device for a motor vehicle includes an indicator for providing a displayed image, arranged internally in the vehicle; a combiner for reflecting image light of the displayed image toward an eye point I of a driver of the vehicle, a virtual image S of the displayed image which can be visually recognized from the eye point being displayed on the combiner ; and meter units for displaying a status of the vehicle as a real image, the meter units being located between the combiner and the eye point at a position outside an optical path of the image light of the displayed image. The combiner has a contour which can be visually recognized from the eye point and nearly surrounds the virtual image and a real image of the meter units . In such a configuration, a display with a sense of unity between a real image and a virtual image can be realized while avoiding an increase of a dashboard in size and complication thereof in structure.

Display device for motor vehicle

A push switch structure for a display is provided, wherein the elastic sealing member adheres to the periphery of the key switch body for transmitting indication of the display . The key switch body is inserted into the opening portion of the elastic sealing member and the collar portion of the key switch body coheres to the elastic sealing member and is pressed with the cover. The key switch body is provided with the accommodating recess for a push-button switch . The key switch body is provided with the transparent electrode and the elastic sealing member coheres to the transparent electrode substrate arranged on the front of the display. An assembled unit of the elastic sealing member and the key switch body is assembled to the display case , which is assembled to an assembly of the control substrate and the display. The elastic sealing member coheres to the front of the accommodating portion and the display is put into close contact with the backside of the accommodating portion , and a part of the elastic sealing member is formed in a sector-shape between the key switch bodies and is bent to form the resilient portion. Thus, dust-and-waterproofing of the push switch for the display can be obtained.

Push switch structure for display

In a multi-function switch, while a first level screen inclusive of images representative of a plurality of object appliances viewed at operation buttons is displayed on a display means, an image of a selected appliance is selected by pressing any one of the operation buttons. Next, a second level screen inclusive of a plurality of functions of the selected appliance is displayed on the display means. In this configuration, not only the number of the operation buttons but also the space required for displaying the selected appliance can be reduced. When an air conditioner mode is selected from the first level screen, by pressing one by one a operation button for air drafting, in accordance with the number of times of pressing, the symbol representative of drafting mode is changed in a sequence of six patterns of &ldquo;no drafting&rdquo;, &ldquo;only head&rdquo;, &ldquo;both head and leg&rdquo;, &ldquo;only leg&rdquo; &ldquo;only leg with defogger&rdquo; and &ldquo;head and leg with defogger&rdquo;. In this configuration, the multi-function of a operation button for stepwise setting an operation of the air conditioner can be also realized.

Multi-function switch device

A display screen switch of the present invention includes: a plate-like case arranged on a display screen and provided with a transmit-light window part in which switch information displayed on the display screen is transmitted; a switch body fixed to the case; a cover arranged on an upper side of the case and having a hole part; a transmit operational member including a transparent display part which transmits a visible light and on which the switch information is displayed, and a switch push-down part which makes the switch body operate; and an elastic member interposed between the transmit operational member and the case along a circumference part of the transmit operational member. The transmit operational member being arranged such that the transparent display part and the switch push-down part are arranged in a protruding way from the hole part between the cover and the case. Especially, the elastic member and the transmit operational member are bonded by an adhesive.

Switch structure for display screen

The names of a plurality of instruments connected to a bus are displayed on a screen. An operator presses a mode selection switch, so that one of the names of the plurality of electrical instruments displayed on the screen of the monitor can be selected. A controller selectively displays the name on the screen selected by the mode selection switch. The operator can operate the instrument corresponding to the name on the screen selected by the mode selection switch with using a direction key.

Apparatus for operating instruments for vehicle

A switch device is provided, in which a transparent key-top is arranged over a screen of a display unit so that information displayed on the screen of the display unit is seen through the key-top. The switch device is characterized by containing a shaft supporter provided in a space formed at both sides of the key-top for allowing the key-top to perform a seesaw-movement, wherein the space is formed by cutting off both sides of the key-top in an oblique direction so as to make an area of a face of the key-top larger than an area of a back of the key-top. Thus, the switch device achieves a seesaw-type key-top enabling a multiple display and improves visibility and operability for the seesaw-type key-top.

Switch device

An audio rack for a vehicle has a rack case, a receiving connector, an operating panel, a linking mechanism, a controller, and a flexible flat cable. The rack case has an opening for the insertion of one of a plurality of types of electrical equipment. The receiving connector is mounted in a fixed manner to within the rack case. By the action of inserting a piece of electrical equipment into the rack case, an electrical connection is made between the electrical equipment and the receiving connector. The operating panel has a shape that is suitable for covering the opening of the rack case, and has switches that correspond to the various types of electrical equipment. The linking mechanism permits movement of the operating panel between a first and a second position. When at the first position, the operating panel covers the opening, and when at the second position, the operating panel is removed from the front of the opening, so as to permit access thereto. The controller is fixed with respect to the rack case and, for the purpose of controlling the pieces of electrical equipment, is electrically connected to the receiving connector. The cable makes a connection between the electrical equipment and the controller, and permits movement of the operating panel.

A center cluster module which checks connection failures of connectors and for problems in electronic components after electronic components have been inserted into connection slot portions and informs the worker of connection status of the individual electronic components, thus improving work efficiency. A center cluster module includes a connection slot portion which removably receives a plurality of electronic components to be mounted on a vehicle. Component detection sections provided so as to correspond to individual electric components detect whether or not electronic components are inserted into the connection slot portion. From a detection signal output from each of the plurality of component detection sections, an inserted component determination section determines the state of the electronic component inserted into the connection slot portion. A display section indicates the result of the determination made by the inserted component determination section.

Center cluster module

Multiple pieces of equipment installed in a vehicle are freely installed and removed to equipment connection slots. A bus line interconnects the multiple pieces of electrical equipment installed in the equipment connection slots. Multiple operating switches arranged in a single unit on an operating section are provided in correspondence to the multiple pieces of electrical equipment for producing control signals to control each of the multiple pieces of electrical equipment. When any one of the operating switches is manipulated, a head unit controls, via the bus line, the electrical equipment corresponding to the manipulated operating switch.

Center cluster module and system, and electrical equipment connector

A motor vehicle peripheral monitoring apparatus uses a monitor region extension member as optical image forming means. The monitor region extension member comprises an upper image passage part and an upper image compression part. The upper image passage part includes a prism structural element of substantially a semi-conical shape whose prism apical angles become the maximum angle at the center of the member and are decreased toward the extremity from the center of the member. The upper image compression part includes a cylindrical structural element having a curved surface whose angles are set to be smaller continuously from the prism apical angles of the upper image passage part.
