An aluminum alloy brazing sheet used for brazing of an aluminum material in an inert gas atmosphere or in vacuum is formed of a two-layer material in which a brazing material and a core material are stacked in this order. The core material is formed of an aluminum alloy and has a grain size of 20 to 300 μm, and the aluminum alloy includes Mn of 0.50 to 2.00 mass %, Mg of 0.40 to 2.00 mass %, Si of 1.50 mass % or less, and Fe of 1.00 mass % or less. The brazing material is formed of an aluminum alloy including Si of 4.00 to 13.00 mass % and one or two or more of Mn of 2.00 mass or less, Ti of 0.30 mass % or less, Zr of 0.30 mass % or less, and Cr of 0.30 mass % or less.

Aluminum alloy brazing sheet and manufacturing method thereof

An aluminum alloy brazing sheet is formed of a four-layer material formed of a brazing material, an intermediate material, a core material, and a brazing material. The intermediate material comprises Mg of 0.40 to 6.00 mass %, and has a total of contents of Mn, Cr, and Zr being 0.10 mass % or more. The core material comprises Mg of 0.20 to 2.00 mass % and comprises one or two or more of Mn of 1.80 mass % or less, Si of 1.05 mass % or less, Fe of 1.00 mass % or less, Cu of 1.20 mass % or less, Ti of 0.30 mass % or less, Zr of 0.30 mass % or less, and Cr of 0.30 mass % or less. Each of the core material and the intermediate material has a grain size of 20 to 300 &#x3bc;m.

A brazing sheet () includes a core material () composed of an Al alloy that contains 0.20-3.0 mass % of Mg; and a filler material () layered on the core material and composed of an Al alloy that contains Mg, 6.0-13.0 mass % of Si, and more than 0.050 mass % and 1.0 mass % or less of Bi. The Mg concentration of the filler material becomes continuously lower in a direction from a boundary () with the core material to an outermost surface (). The Mg concentration of the filler material is 0.150 mass % or less at a first depth from the outermost surface that is &#x215b; of a thickness (t) of the filler material and is 5-90% of the amount of Mg in the core material at a second depth from the outermost surface that is &#x215e; of the thickness of the filler material.

Brazing sheet and manufacturing method thereof

An aluminum alloy brazing sheet used for brazing of an aluminum material in an inert gas atmosphere or in vacuum is formed of a two-layer material in which a brazing material and a core material are stacked. The core material is formed of an aluminum alloy and has a grain size of 20 to 300 &#x3bc;m, and the aluminum alloy contains Mn of 0.50 to 2.00 mass %, Mg of 0.40 to 2.00 mass %. Si of 1.50 mass % or less, Fe of 1.00 mass % or less, and Ti of 0.10 to 0.30 mass %, with the balance being aluminum and inevitable impurities. The brazing material is formed of an aluminum alloy containing Si of 4.00 to 13.00 mass % with the balance being aluminum and inevitable impurities. In a drop-type fluidity test, a ratio &#x3b1; (&#x3b1;=K/K) of a fluid coefficient Kis 0.50 or more.

A sacrificial material on one surface of a core material, a Al brazing material containing Si: 6.0% to 14.0%, Mg: 0.05% to 1.5%, Bi: 0.05% to 0.25%, Sr: 0.0001% to 0.1%, and Al balance and satisfying (Bi+Mg)&#xd7;Sr&#x2264;0.1 is disposed on the other surface, Mg&#x2014;Bi-based compounds of the brazing material with a diameter of 0.1-5.0 &#x3bc;m are more than 20 per 10,000-&#x3bc;mand the Mg&#x2014;Bi-based compounds with a diameter of 5.0 &#x3bc;m or more are less than 2 before brazing, the core material contains Mn: 1.0% to 1.7%, Si: 0.2% to 1.0%, Fe: 0.1% to 0.5%, Cu: 0.08% to 1.0%, Mg: 0.1% to 0.7%, and Al balance, the sacrificial material contains Zn: 0.5% to 6.0% and Mg of which a content is limited to 0.1% or less, and a Mg concentration on a surface of the sacrificial material after brazing is 0.15% or less.

Aluminum alloy clad material

An aluminum alloy clad material includes: a sacrificial material on one surface of a core material; and an Al&#x2014;Si&#x2014;Mg&#x2014;Bi-based brazing material disposed on other surface of the core material, contains, by mass %, Si: 6.0% to 14.0%, Mg: 0.05% to 1.5%, Bi: 0.05% to 0.25%, Sr: 0.0001% to 0.1%, and a balance consisting of Al and inevitable impurities, and satisfies a relationship of (Bi+Mg)&#xd7;Sr&#x2264;0.1 by mass %, in which Mg&#x2014;Bi-based compounds contained in the Al&#x2014;Si&#x2014;Mg&#x2014;Bi-based brazing material with a diameter of 0.1 &#x3bc;m or more and less than 5.0 &#x3bc;m are more than 20 in number per 10,000-&#x3bc;mand the Mg&#x2014;Bi-based compounds with a diameter of 5.0 &#x3bc;m or more are less than 2 in number, and the core material contains Mn: 0.9% to 1.7%, Si: 0.2% to 1.0%, Fe: 0.1% to 0.5%, Cu: 0.08% to 1.0%, and a balance consisting of Al and inevitable impurities.

An Al&#x2014;Si&#x2014;Mg&#x2014;Bi-based brazing material containing Si: 6.0% to 14.0%, Fe: 0.05% to 0.3%, Mg: 0.02% to 1.5%, Bi: 0.05% to 0.25%, Sr: 0.0001% to 0.1%, and a balance of Al and inevitable impurities, and satisfies (Bi+Mg)&#xd7;Sr&#x2264;0.1, is disposed on both surfaces of a core material, Mg&#x2014;Bi-based compounds of the brazing material with a diameter of 0.1 &#x3bc;m or more and less than 5.0 &#x3bc;m in terms of equivalent circle diameter are more than 20 in number in 10,000 &#x3bc;mand the Mg&#x2014;Bi-based compounds with diameter of 5.0 &#x3bc;m or more are less than 2 in number in 10,000 &#x3bc;m, the core material contains Mn: 0.8% to 1.8%, Si: 0.01% to 1.0%, Fe: 0.1% to 0.5%, and a balance of Al and inevitable impurities, and a cathode current density of a brazing material layer after a brazing heat treatment is 0.1 mA/cmor less.

A brazing fin material for heat exchangers includes a core material and a filler metal clad on each side of the core material, wherein the core material is an aluminum alloy including manganese, the filler metal is an aluminum alloy including 6 to 9.5 mass % of silicon, silicon particles in the filler metal have an average circle equivalent diameter of 3 &#x3bc;m or less, and the brazing fin material has a thickness of 0.06 mm or less.

Brazing fin material for heat exchangers, heat exchanger, and method of manufacturing same

An aqueous aluminum brazing composition containing an organic binder and a zinc-based flux which prevents the precipitation of the zinc-based flux having a large specific gravity while securing an excellent brazeability. The thixotropic index of the brazing composition is adjusted to 1.01-1.20 by adding a (meth)acrylic acid/(meth)acrylate copolymer emulsion to the brazing composition as a precipitation inhibitor in an amount of 0.03-1.50 wt % of 100 wt % of the brazing composition. Since the (meth)acrylic acid/(meth)acrylate copolymer emulsion is used as the precipitation inhibitor in a specific amount instead of other types of compounds used for a powder-containing paint, such as ultrafine particle silica, poly(meth)acrylate, or polyvinyl alcohol, the precipitation of the zinc-based flux can be prevented without impairing the brazeability.

Aqueous aluminum brazing composition, aluminum material coated with the brazing composition, brazing method using the aluminum material, and automotive heat exchanger manufactured by using the brazing method

The present invention provides an aluminum alloy fin material for heat exchangers which has a thickness of 80 &#x3bc;m (0.08 mm) or less and excels in joinability to a tube material and in intergranular corrosion resistance. The aluminum alloy fin material is an aluminum alloy bare fin material or a brazing fin material which has a thickness of 80 &#x3bc;m or less and is incorporated into a heat exchanger made of an aluminum alloy manufactured by brazing through an Al&#x2014;Si alloy filler metal. The structure of the core material before brazing is a fiber structure, and the crystal grain diameter of the structure after brazing is 50&#x2013;250 &#x3bc;m. The Si concentration in the Si dissolution area on the surface of the fin material and at the center of the thickness of the fin material after brazing is preferably 0.8% or more and 0.7% or less, respectively.

Aluminum alloy fin material for heat exchangers and heat exchanger including the fin material

There is disclosed a heat exchanger made of an aluminum alloy having a radiator part ( ) and an oil cooler part ( ) in combination and manufactured integrally by the brazing method, wherein a refrigerant tank ( ) for covering and sealing the oil cooler part is made of an aluminum alloy, an aluminum alloy containing Si in an amount from more than 7.0 wt % to 12.0 wt %, Fe in an amount from more than 0.05 wt % to 0.5 wt %, Cu in an amount from more than 0.4 wt % to 8.0 wt %, Zn in an amount from more than 0.5 wt % to 10.0 wt %, and the balance of aluminum and inevitable impurities is used as a filler material of brazing sheets that are used for the oil cooler part and are brazed in the tank, and the refrigerant tank is assembled integrally with the radiator part and the oil cooler part by brazing with the brazing material. The heat exchanger made of an aluminum alloy by using an aluminum material instead of a resin tank, can be easily recycled, is excellent in corrosion resistance, and can be manufactured without requiring a step of caulking a tank.

Heat exchanger made of an aluminum alloy

A core material of an aluminum brazing sheet restricts Mg to less than 0.3 wt % and Fe to not more than 0.2 wt %, and contains more than 0.2 wt % and not more than 1.0 wt % of Cu, 0.3 to 1.3 wt % of Si, 0.3 to 1.5 wt % of Mn and the balance of Al and inevitable impurities. A brazing filler material is formed on one surface of the core material by Al&mdash;Si based aluminum alloy. Also, a cladding material is formed on the other surface of the core material, and contains less than 0.2 wt % of Si, 2.0 to 3.5 wt % of Mg, not less than 0.5 wt % and less than 2.0 wt % of Zn and the balance of Al and inevitable impurities. Further, the value (cladding material hardness)/(the core material hardness) that is a ratio of the hardness of the cladding material to the hardness of the core material is not more than 1.5.

Aluminum brazing sheet

An aluminum alloy clad material for heat exchangers exhibiting superior strength after brazing and excellent corrosion resistance is provided. The aluminum alloy clad material comprises a sacrificial anode material which is clad on one side of a core material, wherein the core material comprises an aluminum alloy comprising 0.3-2.0% of Mn, 0.25-1.0% of Cu, 0.3-1.1% of Si, and 0.05-0.35% of Ti with the remaining portion consisting of aluminum and impurities, the sacrificial anode material comprises an aluminum alloy comprising 1.5-8% of Zn, 0.01-0.8% of Si, and 0.01-0.3% of Fe with the remaining portion consisting of aluminum and impurities, and the total number of particles of Si compounds and Fe compounds with a particle diameter (circle equivalent diameter) of 1 &mgr;m or more present in the sacrificial anode material matrix is 2&times;10,or less per 1 mm,. The clad material is suitably used as a tube material or header plate material for automotive heat exchangers such as a radiator or heater core.

Aluminum alloy clad material for heat exchangers exhibiting high strength and excellent corrosion resistance

There is disclosed an aluminum alloy tube whose outer surface is covered with a filler alloy by metal-spraying, wherein the base material of the tube has an uneven rough surface with the depth of 10 &mgr;m or more, and the difference between the highest projection of the base material surface and the highest projection of the filler alloy layer covering it is 3 to 25 &mgr;m; a heat exchanger, which is assembled by using the tubes; and a method of metal-spraying, which comprises metal-spraying an aluminum alloy filler powder in a melted state, by the high-velocity flame metal-spraying process, in which the filler contains 15 to 50% Si by weight, and the powder is mainly made up of particles whose diameter is 10 &mgr;m to 70 &mgr;m. The aluminum alloy tube is excellent in brazability and corrosion resistance, and by using the tube, it is possible to assemble a heat exchanger without allowing locally filler-unbonded parts to be formed. Further, according to the method of metal-spraying, it is possible to form a excellent filler alloy layer, and obtain a tube high in brazability and corrosion resistance.
