An air conditioning system includes a plurality of air conditioning indoor units installed in a target space, a plurality of remote control devices corresponding to the air conditioning indoor units, and a controller. The remote control device has a command input to set the corresponding air conditioning indoor unit or the remote control device. The controller performs a process based on the command input to the remote control device. Each remote control device includes a communicating unit that performs a communication with the corresponding air conditioning indoor unit, and a short range wireless communicating unit that performs a short range wireless communication with a communicating apparatus having a function of the short range wireless communication. The command is input by receiving a signal transmitted from the communicating apparatus by the short range wireless communication, at the short range wireless communicating unit.

Remote control device for an air conditioning system

A remote control for an air conditioner facilitates setting of various kinds of data without operation of a button. A remote control () includes an external communication unit () having an NFC circuit () and an NFC antenna (). The external communication unit () is capable of wirelessly communicating with an external apparatus even when a microcomputer () in the remote control () is not supplied with power (i.e., in a non-operating state). Hence, through the wireless communication between the external communication unit () of the remote control () and the external apparatus, the various kinds of data is forwarded from the external device to the remote control (), and stored in the remote control ().

Remote control for air conditioner and air conditioner provided with same

A remote control device configured communicate with an air conditioner or a heat pump includes a touch panel having an electrode unit, a liquid crystal display, and a casing accommodating the touch panel and the liquid crystal display. The casing has a back surface part and a front surface part. The liquid crystal display is disposed to overlap the touch panel as seen from a front surface part side. The electrode unit has a first electrode section to detect a touched position, and a second electrode section that may function as an antenna to perform wireless communication with another communication device. The first and second electrode sections are configured and arranged to be nearer to the front surface part than to the back surface part inside the casing, and to be disposed so as not to overlap with each other as seen from the front surface part side.
