Provided is an imaging lens unit that is able to suppress a reduction in optical performance even if plastic lenses absorb water. The imaging lens unit includes a lens barrel formed of a resin material and first to seventh plastic lenses housed in the lens barrel. Among the first to seventh plastic lenses, at least two adjacent plastic lenses have different water absorption rates and have conical fitting slopes that are centered on an optical axis, are formed outside optical effective portions of the adjacent plastic lenses, and are fittable to each other. The fitting slope of a high-water-absorption plastic lens that has a high water absorption rate is formed outside the fitting slope of a low-water-absorption plastic lens that has a low water absorption rate.

Image recording apparatus

Detection of failure mode peculiar to a high-electron mobility transistor is available. A control circuit controls a gate voltage switching portion so that the gate voltage applied to a transistor may become a given checking voltage. The checking voltage may be set to a pinch-off-voltage of the transistor, for example. The control circuit detects a current value of the drain current flown when the checking voltage is applied, thereby detecting a failure of the transistor based on the current value. According to the present invention, since failure detection is made on the basis of the drain current value flown when the checking voltage set up apart from an operating voltage is applied as the gate voltage, failure mode which is peculiar to the high electron mobility transistor and which is hardly detectable in an ordinary operating state becomes detectable.

Radar system

A modulated pulse wave requires a pulse width of 1 nsec or less, but it is difficult that a PIN diode, which is conventionally used treats such a modulated pulse wave with narrow pulse width. In order to solve such a problem, it is an object to provide a pulse modulator, which outputs a modulated pulse wave with narrow pulse width and a pulse wave radar device, which can output a modulated pulse wave with narrow pulse width. In order to achieve this operation, the pulse modulator and the pulse wave radar device of the present invention differentiate a pulse from a pulse generating circuit so as to generate a differentiated wave with narrow width, and switch an oscillated wave from an oscillating circuit according to the differentiated wave so as to output a modulated pulse wave with narrow pulse width.

Pulse wave radar device

An ink jet printer has a line print type recording heads, respectively extending in a width direction of a recording medium, for jetting ink to the recording medium, and ultraviolet ray irradiating devices, having ultraviolet ray sources, for irradiating the ink arriving at the recording medium with ultraviolet rays to cure the ink. The ultraviolet ray irradiating devices are arranged on a downstream side of the recording heads in a feeding direction of the recording medium. A quantity of the ultraviolet rays emitted from the ultraviolet ray sources of the ultraviolet ray irradiating device, which is arranged on the most downstream side in the feeding direction of the recording medium, is set to be larger than that of the ultraviolet rays emitted from the ultraviolet ray sources of each of the other ultraviolet ray irradiating devices.

Ink jet printer

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head formed with nozzles for jetting light curable ink onto a recording medium, a light irradiator having a light source for emitting light to cure the ink, and an illuminance detecting device for intermittently detecting an illuminance of the light emitted from the light source, at a predetermined interval. The inkjet recording apparatus further includes a temperature adjusting device for adjusting a temperature of the light source, and a control section for determining that the ink cannot be cured, if the illuminance detected by the illuminance detecting device is not higher than a reference value in a condition where the temperature of the light source has been adjusted into a predetermined range by the temperature adjusting device.

Image recording apparatus with irradiation control

An ink jet printer has a recording head, having a nozzle, for jetting ink to be cured by irradiating with an ultraviolet ray from the nozzle, and an ultraviolet ray irradiating device for irradiating the ink jetted by the recording head with a plurality of ultraviolet rays. The ultraviolet ray irradiating device has a plurality of ultraviolet ray sources respectively emitting a plurality of ultraviolet rays of a plurality of light emitting wavelength peaks different from one another. After the ink jetted from the nozzle arrives at a recording medium, an image is formed by irradiating the ink of the recording medium with the ultraviolet rays of the ultraviolet ray irradiating device and curing the ink.

There is provided an ink-jet recording apparatus that can maintain a constant light emission intensity of a light source with a simple structure, and allows easy replacement of the light source, while realizing miniaturization and reduction in weight of the apparatus. The ink-jet recording apparatus includes a recording head to jet photocurable ink onto a recording medium, wherein the photocurable ink is cured by being exposed to light; and a light emitting device having a light source to emit light to cure the photocurable ink, the light source including a light emitting tube and metal caps provided at both ends of the light emitting tube, wherein the light emitting tube has a bent section.
