The chimeric single-stranded antisense polynucleotide and double-stranded antisense agents comprise a central nucleotide region flanked by a first 5'-wing region and a first 3&#x2032;-wing region of modified nucleotides, which are themselves flanked by a second 5&#x2032;-wing region and/or a second 3&#x2032;-wing region of nucleotides that have a low affinity for proteins and/or that have higher resistance to DNase or RNase than a natural DNA or RNA and are missing in a cell when the chimeric polynucleotide delivered. The double-stranded antisense agent further comprises a complementary strand annealed to the antisense strand. The polynucleotide can be used to modify RNA transcription levels, miRNA activity, or protein levels in cells.

A method for producing porous graphite capable of realizing higher durability, output and capacity, and porous graphite. A carbon member having microvoids is obtained by a dealloying step for selectively eluting other non-carbon main components into a metal bath by immersing a carbon-containing material, composed of a compound including carbon or an alloy or non-equilibrium alloy, in the metal bath, wherein the metal bath has a solidifying point lower than the melting point of the carbon-containing material, and is controlled to a temperature lower than the minimum value of a liquidus temperature within a composition fluctuation range extending from the carbon-containing material to carbon by reducing the other non-carbon main components. The carbon member obtained in the dealloying step is graphitized by heating in a graphitization step. The carbon member graphitized in the graphitization step is subjected to activation treatment by an activation step.

An electricity distribution device is connected to a system power supply and a battery pack, and includes: a primary power converter circuit converting DC electric power discharged from the battery pack into electric power supplied to the load; a first switch switching conducting and non-conducting states between the primary power converter circuit and the load; and a control circuitry controlling the first switch to switch the conducting and non-conducting states between the primary power converter circuit and the load. The primary power convertor circuit consumes DC electric power discharged from the battery pack, in a state where the first switch switches the non-conducting state between the primary power convertor circuit and the load, and a current value is acquired when discharging from the fully-charged state to an empty state. The fully-charged capacity of the battery pack is measured using the acquired current value.
