The lighting systemincludes a light emitting unitincluding light emitting diodes, and a securing memberfor securing the light emitting unitto a head of a healthcare worker. The radiation of light from the light emitting uniteliminates the need for a shadowless lamp. When the light emitting unitis fixed to the head, the light emitting unitmoves with the movement of the healthcare worker, and furthermore, when the healthcare worker moves his or her head, the direction of light radiation can be changed as desired. The use of an auxiliary lighting unitand a cameracan provide safe surgery.

Lighting system

In a data recording apparatus which sequentially records recording data on a magnetic tape (T), when a plurality of continuously recorded data files F(i) are rewritten into new data files F(I) having smaller data quantities, recording areas which remain without being rewritten into the new data files F(I) are rewritten into unrecorded areas NR containing no data. Further, when rewriting into new data files G(I) which have larger data quantities, reserve areas SP are provided, in which data has not been previously recorded, and overflow data is written into the reserve areas SP at the time of rewriting. Furthermore, when rewriting into a new data file H(I) having a larger quantity, in a case where the data file H(i+1) following the rewritten data file H(i) is not needed, the recording areas of the unnecessary data file H(i+1) which are not rewritten, are rewritten into a new data file H(I+1) having no data, or are rewritten into the above mentioned reserve areas SP belonging to a newly rewritten data file A(I).

Method and apparatus for replacing a selected file with another longer

A source program is stored for every line of the source program in a source program memory. Jump commands in the language used in the program are previously stored in a jump command memory for storing jump commands used in the program. The contents of the source program memory are compared with the contents of the jump command memory, the kinds of each commands in the source program are identified, and first and second identification data are produced. The first identification data which are set for each command identifies the kind of each command, and identifies that the execution contents of commands adjacent to each other along the sequence of commands are continuous. The second identification data are set for each jump command and each command to which processing is to be jumped. The first and second identification data are stored in the identification data memory. The process flow of the source program is analyzed based on the contents of the identification data memory in an analyzer. The result of the analysis by the analyser is output in the form of a flowchart.

Apparatus for automatically preparing a flowchart by analyzing a source

A serial data communication device of a half-duplex communication system includes two communication units. One of the communication units has a counter for measuring a length of a remaining time during one sending/receiving period set for one-way data transmission (a period during one sending/receiving period W from the time when the communication unit receives all the send data from the other communication unit to the time to start data sending). A send frequency in data sending is determined to as a lower value practicable in the range in which no collision of the data occurs, depending on the length of the measured remaining time. The other communication unit is configured so as to receive the send data of one communication unit to extract the send frequency in synchronization with a serial clock signal having the same frequency as the send frequency and send the data. Accordingly, send frequencies of the communication units associated with communication are automatically set to be as lower values as practicable depending on the distance of communication, so that effects of fluctuations in time such as jitter on the send data is reduced to a minimum.

A steering mechanism of a vehicle including a four-wheel steering system in combination with a four-wheel drive system having a front wheel steering mechanism for steering front wheels of the vehicle, a steering wheel for effecting a steering movement of the front wheel steering mechanism to a desired angle, a rear wheel steering mechanism for steering rear wheels of the vehicle, a control circuit for effecting a steering movement of the rear wheel steering mechanism in relation to the steering movement of the front wheels, and a torque ratio control assembly for compensating the steering angle of the rear wheels in accordance with torque distribution for the rear wheels. The arrangement is such that a ratio of the steering angle of the rear wheel to the steering angle of the front wheel as considered in the same direction of steering is increased in accordance with an increase in the ratio of the torque distribution for the rear wheels.

Vehicle steering system

A steering system for a vehicle comprises a front wheel turning mechanism for turning the front wheels in response to operation of a steering wheel, a steering ratio changing mechanism inserted into the front wheel turning mechanism to change the ratio of the turning angle of the steering wheel to the turning angle of the front wheels, and a vehicle speed sensor for detecting the vehicle speed. The steering ratio changing mechanism is controlled to increase the ratio as the vehicle speed increases, and as the vehicle speed increases, the control speed of the steering ratio changing mechanism is lowered.

A steering mechanism of a vehicle including a front wheel steering mechanism for steering front wheels of the vehicle, a steering handle wheel for effecting a steering movement of the front wheel steering mechanism to a desired angle, a rear wheel steering mechanism for steering rear wheels of the vehicle, a control circuit for effecting a steering movement of the rear wheel steering mechanism in relation with the steering movement of the front wheels. The arrangement is such that a ratio of the steering angle of the rear wheel to the steering angle of the front wheel as considered in the same direction of steering is increased in accordance with an increase in the steered angle of the front wheel.

An improved vehicle suspension system capable of providing at all times a desirable maneuvering characteristic variable in response to changes in the angle of steering. The suspension system includes front wheel suspension assemblies for resiliently suspending the front wheels of the vehicle and rear wheel suspension assemblies for resiliently suspending the rear wheels of the vehicle. The front wheel suspension assemblies and/or the rear wheel suspension assemblies have a variable suspension characteristic which is controlled to vary in response to a steering angle exceeding a predetermined level in a manner such that the steering characteristic of the vehicle during steering operation is changed in a direction toward an oversteer characteristic as compared with the steering characteristic during non-steering operation. Specifically, the suspension characteristic of the front wheel suspension assemblies and/or the rear wheel suspension assemblies is changed to make the ratio of the suspension rate of each front wheel suspension assembly to that of each rear wheel suspension assembly smaller during steering operation than during non-steering operation. Also, the steering characteristic of the vehicle may be further controlled such that the understeer characteristic of the vehicle is stronger at high speed than at low speed.

Vehicle suspension system

A power steering system including a power cylinder and a hydraulic pump for supplying a hydraulic pressure to the power cylinder through a control valve to produce a hydraulic assisting force. A control device is provided to drive the hydraulic pump only when one or both of the vehicle power clutch disconnecting member and the brake actuating member are actuated under a vehicle speed lower than a predetermined value.
