An object of the present invention is to provide an immunodeficient mouse which is capable of eliminating effects of immune cells from the immunodeficient mouse against human antibodies and in which human cells are engrafted at high level. Deletion of a mouse FcgR gene from an NOG mouse results in a mouse that does not exhibit antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxic activity on tumors, and in the mouse, human cells can be engrafted at significantly higher level than that in the NOG mouse. Furthermore, by introducing the human IL-15 gene into the mouse and engrafting a human NK cell in the mouse, only human NK cells become effector cells to enable evaluation of ADCC activity.

The present invention provides a novel anticariogenic agent without side effects so that anticariogenic effect can also be obtained in humans who are highly sensitive to oligosaccharides and sugar alcohols. An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device to form a toner image onto a recording medium by transferring the toner image directly or indirectly onto the recording medium, the image forming device including a developer to develop a latent image formed on an image carrier into the toner image; and a controller to control the image forming device. The controller determines whether a first estimated time period is greater than a first predetermined time period, the first estimated time period being a time period from a time when image formation of one page of the image completes to an estimated time when image formation of a subsequent page of the image will start; and stops operating the developer based on a determination indicating that the first estimated time period is greater than the first predetermined time period.

The present inventors discovered that microfiltration retentates of whey, and products obtained by treating whey using centrifugation and/or ammonium sulfate precipitation, have the activity of inhibiting rotavirus infection. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method of preventing rotavirus infection, comprising administering to a subject a composition that comprises a whey cream serum obtained by treating whey by centrifugation, or a dehydrated product thereof, wherein the antiviral activity of said composition is retained after heat treatment.

A method of producing printed containers for retortable material comprising subjecting the outer surfaces of sheets or container of polyolefin to a flame treatment to produce a wet index of 45 dyne/cm or higher and then printing the outer surfaces. Method of producing printed containers for retortable materials

To easily mount the ram drive unit on the upper frame of a punch press without being subjected to the influence of heat generated from the ram drive unit, the ram drive unit (23) is mounted on the upper frame symmetrical right and left when seen from the front. A circular 'pop-top' can has a multilayer foil (19) and resin (20, 21) base 4, on the upper surface of which a rigid injection molded resin layer 5 is formed. An elliptical groove 6 surrounds a semicircular pedestal 8 extended inwardly by a U-shaped projection 9 having score lines 18 extending across its legs. The butt of a pull tab 12 is fixed to the pedestal such that upon lift up the tab and pedestal pivot downwardly about the score lines to rupture the exposed base at the groove.

A tool exchange apparatus comprises a first tool exchange arm for removing a previous tool mounted on a machine tool and returning the removed previous tool on a tool magazine and a second tool exchange arm for removing a new tool arranged on a tool magazine and setting the removed new tool to the machine tool, so that tool exchange operation can be achieved continuously. Further, each tool exchange arm comprises an upper finger and a lower finger. The upper finger is movable relative to the lower finger in order to remove only a lower tool (e.g. die) without exchanging an upper tool (e.g. punch).

Tool exchange apparatus

A can comprising a barrel, an upper lid and a lower lid bonded to the barrel. Both the upper and lower lids comprise a gas liquid impermeable barrier layer, preferably aluminum foil, and resin layers heat fused to both sides thereof. Another resin layer is bonded to the exterior of the lids, with the upper lids having a tab and score to be perforated by the tab built into the resin layer. According to the invention, the yield strength of the top lid is made greater than that of the lower lid to prevent breaking of the score if the can is dropped. The differential strength may be accomplished by making the barrier layer of the top lid greater than that of the bottom lid.
