A drill press assembly having a base mountable to a work bench, a vertical column attached to the base and a drill head assembly having an electric motor and a quill. The drill head assembly is movably attached to the column. A rack is rotatably attached to the top of the column and is engaged by a crank and pinion mechanism attached to the frame of the drill head assembly which permits the drill head assembly to be displaced vertically and rotated about the column. A tilt table is attachable to the base of the drill press. A locking mechanism having a bolt passing through a longitudinal slot in the supporting base of the tilt table and a transverse slot in the base is engaged by an eccentrically mounted camshaft to lock the supporting base of the tilt table to the top surface of the drill press base. A pivoting frame is pivotably attached to the supporting base and contains a table plate. A fence is attachable to the top of the pivoting frame. The fence has a stopping block to facilitate the location of a workpiece on the tilt table. A work clamp is also provided on the drill head assembly to clamp a workpiece on the tilt table.

A grinding machine has a driving mechanism for rotating a drive shaft, a sander supported on the drive shaft, a bracket provided swingably on a housing for supporting the drive shaft, a drive shaft moving mechanism for moving the drive shaft in the axial direction, a hollow member supported on the bracket for ratably support the drive shaft, a drive shaft position switching mechanism for moving the hollow cylinder in its axial direction to take selectably two positions whereby the drive shaft can take smoothly two positions in one of which the drive shaft is not moved in its axial direction, and in the other of which the drive shaft is moved it its axial direction.

Grinding machine

A work retainer device for a scroll-saw in which a work retainer is mounted on an arm cover of an upper arm. Two brackets are formed at both distal ends of the arm cover to embrace the upper arm from both sides. Upright portions of a work retainer holding member are overlapped with the brackets. The brackets and the upright portions of the work retainer holding member are fastened to each other by a fastening unit including a screw rod which passes laterally through at least one of the overlapped portions of the bracket and the upright portions of the work retainer holding member. A longitudinal hole is formed in the upright portions of the work retainer holding member. The work retainer is fixed to a lower portion of the work retainer holding member.

Work retaining device for scroll-saw machine

A table saw has a circular saw table, a miter table and a supplementary table to form a working table, on the front and rear sides of which two guide rails are disposed slidably with respect to the working table. The miter table has a miter fence thereon whose pivot points are provided at two separate positions.

Table saw

A circular saw unit capable of changing an angle for cutting a workpiece comprises a base member, a rotary table which is rotatably mounted on the base member and on which the workpiece is placed, a hinge having one end supported to the rotary table and, a bracket member or support arm member pivotally connected to the other end of the hinge. The hinge comprises a lower hinge member having one end supported to the rotary table and an upper hinge member having one end pivotally connected to the other end of the lower hinge member and having the other end connected pivotally to the bracket member. The hinge may have a quadrilateral link mechanism for restricting a lower limit position of the circular saw and for assuring a horizontal movement of the circular saw during a cutting operation.

Circular saw unit

A circular saw device having a variable cut-off angle includes a rotary table provided on a base, and a rotatable circular saw mounted on the rotary table to be movable upwardly and downwardly. A locator is provided on the base and has a curved front central portion concave backwards so that the locator does not interfere with the saw. The locator is movable between a first and a second position depending upon the cross-sectional size of the workpiece to be cut by the saw. The locator is placed in a first position when the workpiece has a small cross-sectional size and in a second position when the workpiece has a large cross-sectional size. Fitted members are provided in the bottom of the locator and are irremovably fitted in guide holes of the base so that the members are slidable in the holes to move the locator from the first to the second position. Pins are provided in the locator and are removably fitted in the small holes of the base to place the locator in the first or the second position.

Circular saw device having variable cut-off angle

A variable cutting-angle circular saw device includes a base; a rotary table 2 rotatably disposed in the central portion of the base; a bracket liftably attached to a hinge; a motor, a speed reducer, a circular saw, an outer cover, and a safety cover, all being fixed to the bracket; a fence fixed in a rearward position of the base; a clamp fixed at left- and right-hand positions of the device so as to allow a workpiece to be clamped for cutting the workpiece. A sawdust-guiding frame piece is suspended from a lower end of a rear portion of the cover so as to smoothly block a gap between the lower end of the rear portion of the outer cover and an upper surface of a curved portion in the central portion of the fence, guiding the sawdust blowing up via the blow-up port, to the inner side of the rear end of the outer cover. A sawdust accommodating chamber below the rotary table is closed at the bottom and has a substantially arcuate bag-like shape, and communication with the cover via a port at the rear thereof.

Variable cutting-angle circular saw device

A saw blade position setting apparatus of a working table such as a table saw which is mounted on a support frame and to which a blade assembly is mounted with a handle assembly including a handle and a handle shaft held by the support frame to be rotatable and operatively connected to the blade assembly. The blade assembly is supported by a support member connected to the handle shaft. A clutch mechanism is selectively transmitting rotation of the handle to a blade assembly elevating mechanism and a blade assembly inclining mechanism. The elevational position and the inclination of the blade assembly are adjusted in accordance with the rotation of the handle assembly. A rack is secured to the support frame and the handle assembly is moved along the rack to a predetermined angle position. A lock lever is disposed in operative association with the handle assembly and operatively connected to the clutch mechanism. The lock lever serves to lock the support member to the predetermined angle position and is provided with a cam mechanism through which operation of the clutch mechanism is changed.

Saw blade position setting apparatus

A broth containing yeast cells is continuously or intermittently removed from a fermentor. Then, yeast cells are separated from the filtrate using a cell separator, or further washed with water. Then, the yeast cells so obtained are recycled to the fermentor, whereby yeasts are cultivated at a high cell concentration of from 6% to about 20% based on dry weight. As discussed herein, by removing the filtrate from the cultivation system, there is no accumulation of metabolites and salts prohibiting the cultivation of yeasts, and further the growth of miscellaneous microorganisms which interfere with yeast cell growth, is surprisingly suppressed.
