A problem of the present invention is to provide a rectangular secondary battery in which heat generation of a current collecting plate is suppressed. A rectangular secondary battery of the present invention which solves the above-described problem includes: a flat wound group which is obtained by winding a positive electrode and has a positive electrode metal foil-exposed portion; a battery can which stores the wound group; a battery lid which seals the battery can; a positive electrode external terminal which is provided on the battery lid; and a positive electrode current collecting plate which electrically connects the external terminal and the wound group. The positive electrode current collecting plate includes a fixed portion fixed on the battery lid, a welded portion welded on the metal foil-exposed portion of the wound group, and a joint connecting the fixed portion and the welded portion. Further, in the current collecting plate, the joint has a width portion equal to or less than widths of the fixed portion and the welded portion and a thickness portion thicker than the fixed portion or the welded portion.

Rectangular secondary battery

A display device for improving an aperture ratio of the pixel is provided. In the display device, a transparent oxide layer, an insulating film, and a conductive layer are sequentially stacked on a pixel region on a substrate, the conductive layer has a gate electrode of a thin film transistor connected to a gate signal line, and a region of the transparent oxide layer other than at least a channel region portion directly below the gate electrode is converted into an electrically conductive region, and a source signal line, a source region portion of the thin film transistor connected to the source signal line, a pixel electrode, and a drain region portion of the thin film transistor connected to the pixel electrode are formed from the conductive region.

Display device

Gate lines are arranged in a first direction. Drain lines are arranged in a second direction. A first electrode has slits formed therein. Aperture regions surrounded by the drain lines and the gate lines include an aperture region including the slits having a first inclined angle and an aperture region including the slits having a second inclined angle, the second inclined angle being different from the first inclined angle. The aperture region including the slits having the first inclined angle and the aperture region including the slits having the second inclined angle are alternately formed in the first direction. Within the aperture regions arranged adjacent to each other in the first direction, a first region and a second region forming a pair by being arranged so as to be opposed to each other via one of the gate lines form one of pixels.

Liquid crystal display device

An object of the present invention is to enhance transmissivity and the luminance of a screen in an IPS liquid crystal display device. To achieve the object, in the IPS liquid crystal display device according to the present invention, a counter electrode is formed flatly and solidly on an organic passivation film, a pixel electrode having a slit is formed on the counter electrode via an interlayer insulation film, and an alignment film the orientation of which is controlled by optical orientation is formed on the pixel electrode. The transmissivity is enhanced by also making the inside of the contact hole function as a transmissible area for image formation by applying optical orientation to the alignment film in the contact hole to result in enhancement of the luminance of the screen.

Provided is a liquid crystal display device, in which: the gate lines include a first gate line and a second gate line for respectively outputting the scanning signals at two different scanning timings for each of scanning lines; and a unit pixel for color display, constituted by three pixels corresponding to a red (R) pixel, a green (G) pixel, and a blue (B) pixel arranged side by side, is formed in a region surrounded by the first gate line, the second gate line, and the drain lines, and the three pixels corresponding to the red (R) pixel, the green (G) pixel, and the blue (B) pixel are arranged in matrix for the each unit pixel.

Provided is a liquid crystal display device including: a first substrate; a second substrate; a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the first and the second substrates; a first polarization plate placed on a side of the first substrate; a second polarization plate placed on a side of the second substrate; and a pixel electrode and a common electrode which are provided on the side of the second substrate on which the liquid crystal layer is placed, in which: at least one of the pixel electrode and the common electrode is interdigital; and the liquid crystal layer has flexoelectric coefficients eand e, both absolute values of which are +7 pC/m or less. Accordingly, a flicker intensity in an IPS liquid crystal display device is suppressed to such a degree as not to influence display quality.

The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device including a first substrate and a second substrate that are arranged to face each other while sandwiching liquid crystal, wherein: a first electrode and plural second electrodes are formed at a pixel area on the first substrate on the liquid crystal side; an alignment layer is provided which includes a first alignment layer formed on the first substrate on the liquid crystal side to cover the second electrodes and a second alignment layer formed on the first alignment layer on the liquid crystal side; the resistance of the second alignment layer is lower than that of the first alignment layer; and the transmittance of the second alignment layer is lower than that of the first alignment layer.

Provided is a display device (), including: two pixels in a region (A) surrounded by two video signal lines (DL) and two scanning signal lines (GL); a first dummy wiring, which is connected to one video signal line of the two video signal lines; and a second dummy wiring, which is connected to a different one of the two video signal lines (DL) from the one video signal line to which the first dummy wiring is connected, in which the first dummy wiring and the second dummy wiring each extend along a contour of the region (A) to a position between the two pixels, and further extend so that respective end portions are opposed to each other between the two pixels.

Display device with arrangement to reduce fluctuations in brightness of pixels caused by parasitic capacitance

There is provided a charged particle beam device which has a mechanism adjusting the shape of an ionic liquid droplet to be adhered to a sample and the thickness of a film of the ionic liquid, in such a manner that they are suitable for various types of observations by an electronic microscope and the like, and for processing using ion beams. The charged particle beam device is characterized in that it includes an ionic liquid holding member having an opening, an ionic liquid supplying unit for filling an ionic liquid into the opening, an observation unit for observing an adhesion state of the ionic liquid, and charged particle beam generating units for radiating charged particle beams, and can adjust the thickness of an ionic liquid droplet to be filled in the opening, when the charged particle beam device observes a sample in a state where it is floating in the ionic liquid by being dispersed into the ionic liquid or on a surface of the ionic liquid.

Charged particle beam device and sample observation method

An image display unit is provided for which it is possible to reduce the number of ion plantation and photolithographic processes required to manufacture the device. A gate electrode GT is a laminated structure of a thin bottom layer metal film GMB and a top layer metal film GMT. A top electrode of a storage capacitor Cst is formed of the bottom layer metal film GMB and ion implantation for the top electrode is performed at the same time as the ion implantation of source-drain electrodes. The gate electrode of a PMOSTFT of the device is also formed with the bottom layer metal GMB, and the ion implantation for threshold adjustment is performed by using the same resist.

Image display unit

A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate includes a sheet-like first electrode formed of a transparent conductive film, a first insulator formed to cover the sheet-like first electrode, a plurality of linear second electrodes formed by a transparent conductive film on the first insulator so as to overlap the sheet-like first electrode, and a second insulator formed on the first insulator so as to cover the plurality of linear second electrodes. The first substrate and the second substrate interpose liquid crystal therebetween and are arranged to be opposed to each other. The sheet-like first electrode, the first insulator, and the plurality of linear second electrodes are provided in a pixel region on a surface of the first substrate of a side of the liquid crystal. The second insulator is made of the same material as the first insulator.

A method for manufacturing a thin film transistor (TFT) through a process including back exposure, in which oxide semiconductor is used for a channel layer; using an electrode over a substrate as a mask, negative resist is exposed to light from the back of the substrate; the negative resist except its exposed part is removed; and an electrode is shaped by etching a conductive film using the exposed part as an etching mask.
