A vehicle controller installed in and controlling a vehicle includes an obtaining part that obtains identification information specific to the vehicle, a communicator that communicates with an information processor located outside the vehicle by transmitting and receiving information, a match judging part that makes a matching judgment on whether a plurality of the identification information obtained at different times are identical, and a judging part that judges whether to permit the control of the vehicle based on the matching judgment. The information processor also can make the matching judgment and only transmit a control command to the vehicle controller when there is a match.

Vehicle controller

A vehicle controller is installed in a vehicle and controls one or more operations of the vehicle. The vehicle controller includes a control unit that: (i) outputs a first code for authentication to a judging apparatus which judges whether to permit starting of a driving apparatus of the vehicle when a request for starting the driving apparatus is obtained from an information processor which is located outside the vehicle, (ii) controls locking and unlocking of doors of the vehicle when a request for door lock control is obtained from the information processor, and (iii) obtains from the judging apparatus an authentication result of whether the first code and a second code for authentication which the judging apparatus uses are identical. When obtaining the request for door lock control, the control unit controls the locking and unlocking of the doors based on the authentication result.

An immobilizer type outputting part outputs information indicating that no immobilizer device is provided in the vehicle to an immobilizer-installed body ECU or a body ECU through an in-vehicle communication network in the case where an immobilizer type identification part of a remote start ECU judges that no immobilizer device is provided in the vehicle. In the case where the immobilizer type identification part judges that the immobilizer device is provided in the vehicle, the immobilizer type output part outputs information indicating the type of the immobilizer device to the immobilizer-installed body ECU or the body ECU through the in-vehicle communication network.

Starting control apparatus and starting control method

A starting control apparatus that automatically discriminates configuration of a vehicle on which the starting control apparatus is mounted, executes an appropriate starting control, and be widely used is provided. The starting control apparatus prestores therein computer program codes for performing a starting control for normal vehicle and a starting control for hybrid vehicle, discriminates between normal vehicle and hybrid vehicle about the vehicle on which the starting control apparatus is mounted on, and executes one of the starting controls corresponding to a result of discrimination between normal vehicle and hybrid vehicle.

Starting control apparatus

An engine start control apparatus enables a user to start an engine of a vehicle irrespective of a user's operation of ignition key. The engine start control apparatus includes a controller that performs engine start control and a storage unit. When the engine abnormally stops during a period in which the controller performs the engine start control, the storage unit stores at least one of a cause of the abnormal stop and a timing of the abnormal stop.
