When the management computer detects a modification of a status of each task that has been registered, the display computer updates a value of a number of tasks in the second area.

When the storage apparatus receives a request to undo a configuration change operation from a management server, if the undo target configuration change operation or its relevant configuration change operations performed after the undo target configuration change operation have not involved a further relevant configuration change operation for another storage apparatus, the storage apparatus performs undo processing only for the configuration change made in accordance with the undo target configuration change operation, and if they have involved a further relevant configuration change operation for another storage apparatus, the storage apparatus makes a request to the management server that performed the further relevant configuration change operation to undo it.

An apparatus and method for interference-fitting an inner member having a flange and an annular outer member. The apparatus includes a supporting member for floatingly supporting the inner member at its flange in the axial direction of the inner member. The floating support of the supporting member is changeable to a locked support such that the support member can support the inner member at its flange in the axial direction when it is locked. Before the interference-fitting is performed, the supporting member adjusts its support point and is locked. Because the inner member is supported at its flange in the axial direction during the interference-fitting, the inner member is not inclined even if it receives a circumferentially non-uniform force. As a result, a high quality fitting is obtained.

A loading/unloading apparatus for loading/unloading a work on/from a moving hanger having a vertically extending support rod and an arm for carrying a work fixed at one end to the support rod. The apparatus comprises a truck, a rail extending in parallel with the arm, a framework slidably mounted on the rail, an upper work-holding device supported by the framework via a lifter, a lower work-holding means supported by the framework via clamp driving device, and a hanger clamping device means. Since the truck is driven at the same speed as the hanger, loading/unloading without stopping the conveyer is possible. Also, since the upper and lower work-holding device are moved in a direction parallel to the direction in which the arm extends, no interference between the work and the arm occurs during loading/unloading. Finally, since the apparatus includes a hanger clamping device means, inclination of the hanger during loading/unloading is prevented.

A removable developing unit of an electrostatic recording apparatus, particularly a multi-color copying apparatus, has a casing with an aperture, at one side to allow contact of a developing sleeve with a photoconductive member when the developing unit is mounted in the copying apparatus. A cover and an automatic closing mechanism is provided so that the aperture is covered when the developing unit is removed from the copying apparatus. The casing includes a toner hopper to which a replaceable toner cartridge is attached. The correct color of replacement toner for the developing unit is ensured by removable tabs or openings on the toner hopper which matches those of the correct color toner cartridge.
