In the present invention, driving torque outputted from a motor portion is transmitted to a worm from a motor shaft, further to a helical gear from the worm, and is taken out to the outside from an output shaft which rotates together with the helical gear with a fixed shaft fixed to a gear box as a center. This fixed shaft is constructed in a hollow and cylindrical shape having an opening in which one end portion thereof has been opened, and a ceiling surface in which the other end portion thereof has been closed, and one end portion of this fixed shaft is subjected to dislocation preventive work, and is fixed to a gear box made of resin by pressing-in or insert molding. The other end portion of the fixed shaft is formed with the dislocation preventive structure of the output shaft and the helical gear installed to the fixed shaft.

Method of manufacturing a gear unit of a motor

A commutator has such a construction that a flange having an outside diameter larger than the outside diameter of a cylindrical body is provided integrally with the cylindrical body in the vicinity of one end of the cylindrical body; guide grooves formed in a circular arc shape in cross section are provided on the flange at the boundary of the flange to the cylindrical body; engaging pieces passing through the guide grooves are provided on one end of a commutator segment; and engaging pieces are caused to deform plastically to fixedly fit the engaging pieces to the flange.

A vibration-damping device for miniature motor brushgear comprising brush arms having sliding parts at the tips of a plurality of fork-like prongs, terminals and brush bases; the brush bases are supported by a motor case cover and the brush arm sliding parts make sliding contact with a motor commutator by the resiliency of the brush arm in which a soft photo-setting resin is applied on areas at the tips of the brush arms, other than the sliding parts, in such a manner that the fork-like prongs and/or gaps between the prongs are covered by the soft photo-setting resin. The fork-like prongs are individually and separately movable by controlling the flexibility of the soft photo-setting resin, by setting the coating weight or hardness after cure of the soft photo-setting resin to a predetermined value, or by applying soft photo-setting resin having different hardness values in multiple layers.
