To provide a gas compressor in which fretting wear due to vibration of an oil separation filter is prevented to thereby achieve an improvement in durability. A gas compressor is provided with a press-fixing unit for press-fixing end portions of an oil separation filter. As the press-fixing means, for example, it is possible to adopt a construction including an abutment block portion against which the bottom end portion of the oil separation filter abuts, an outer peripheral block portion having a filter accommodating hole into which the oil separation filter is inserted, and a pressurizing plate put over the forward end portion of the oil separation filter and mounted and fixed to the outer peripheral block portion, wherein the forward end portion of the oil separation filter is provided so as to protrude from the filter accommodating hole on the surface of the outer peripheral block portion, and wherein the protruding forward end portion of the oil separation filter is pressurized and bent by the pressurizing plate to undergo elastic deformation.

Gas compressor having a press-fixed oil separation filter

Disclosed are a gas compressor and an air conditioning system in which an anomalous temperature rise in an electro-magnetic clutch is detected at an early stage to stop the operation of the gas compressor. A temperature sensor is mounted at a position in the vicinity of a portion of the electro-magnetic clutch which is subject to anomalous heat generation. When there is a rise in the temperature as detected by the temperature sensor, a driving circuit of the electro-magnetic clutch is interrupted before trouble is caused by an abnormally high temperature.

Gas compressor and air conditioning system

An air conditioning compressor is equipped with an oil separator for separating high-pressure refrigerant gas and lubrication oil into a gas component and an oil component. The compressor's casing has a barrel portion surrounding an outer portion of the compressor and an enlarged case potion extending from the barrel portion. The enlarged case portion has a discharge chamber disposed between an inner surface of the casing and a rear portion of the compressor for temporarily holding the gas component and the oil component. An oil sump within the discharge chamber is dimensioned to store a sufficient amount of the oil component to suppress an increase in the oil circulation ratio of an air conditioning system while maintaining a sufficient amount of the lubrication oil in the compressor casing to lubricate the compressor.
