A keyswitch device includes a pair of links for supporting a key top, each provided on the support sheet and including a first arm and a second arm, and a frame for supporting the links, provided on the support sheet. Each link includes a rotation shaft provided at a first end and a slide shaft provided at a second end of each of the first arm and the second arm. The rotation shaft is rotatably placed on one of the frame and the key top. The slide shaft is slidably placed in a corresponding one of guide grooves provided on the other of the frame and the key top. A connecting groove is provided in the first arm of at least one of the links. A connecting shaft is provided on the second arm of the other of the links, and is movably placed in the connecting groove.

Keyswitch device

Provided is a key switch that enables sufficiently enhancement of the rigidity of a key top. A key switch includes a support plate; a key top disposed on the support plate; a link configured to link the key top with the support plate; a switch; a first arm disposed on a back surface of the key top between the link and a first short-side end of the key top, and extending in a long-side direction of the key top; a second arm disposed on the back surface of the key top between the link and a second short-side end of the key top, and extending in the long-side direction of the key top; and a reinforcement plate mounted on the key top. The reinforcement plate comprises a short-side part extending in the short-side direction of the key top between the first arm and the second arm.

A push button-type switch device includes a pair of fixed contacts, an operable member to be pushed, an actuating member elastically deformable upon the operable member being pushed, a movable contact which short-circuits the pair of fixed contacts due to elastic deformation of the actuating member, and a limiting part arranged to limit a direction in which the operable member moves and making the operable member move in a fixed orientation. The limiting part includes a pair of link members that engage with each other, one ends of the link members rotatably supported by the base portion, and the other ends thereof slidably supported by the operable member. This produces a good click irrespective of a position where the operable member is operated.

Push button-type switch device

A key switch preferably used for a keyboard as an input device in electronic equipment. The key switch includes a base section; a key top disposed above the base section; a pair of link members interlocked to each other to support and direct the key top in a vertical direction relative to the base section; a switch member including a contact section capable of opening and closing in response to a vertical movement of the key top; and a biasing member capable of applying an elastic biasing force in a vertically upward direction to the key top. The key switch further includes a protection member disposed and inserted between the base section and the key top at a position where the protection member surrounds the pair of link members, the contact section and the biasing member. The protection member is elastically deformed to follow the vertical movement of the key top, and protects the pair of link members, the contact section and the biasing member from penetration of foreign matter.

A keyboard having: a base panel, a switch panel including a hole portion, a membrane sheet including a contact portion, a key top adapted to be depressed for switching the contact portion ON, and a housing supporting and guiding the key top to move freely in a vertical direction, including each a tube portion on an upper end side having a guide hole formed for inserting a stem formed integrally with the key top and a flange portion on an lower end side extending laterally around the tube portion in a size larger than the hole portion; wherein the housing is inserted into the hole portion from a back side of the switch panel, the flange portion being attached to the back side of the switch panel.
