Vehicle speed display apparatus

To provide a vehicular two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive switching system the power consumption of which can be reduced. A vehicular two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive switching system is provided with a switching unit for transmitting power or disconnecting the transmission of power. The switching unit is provided with a driving shaft connected to the drive side, a driven shaft fitted to the driving shaft via an annular clearance gap. A plurality of connecting/disconnecting members are provided in a clearance between the driving shaft and the driven shaft for connecting or disconnecting the driving shaft and the driven shaft by being fitted or disconnected to/from respective opposite surfaces. A switching mechanism is provided for selectively positioning the connecting/disconnecting members in a position in which the driving shaft and the driven shaft are connected and in a position in which the driving shaft and driven shaft are disconnected. A control unit is provided for supplying driving current to the switching mechanism by repeating continuous supply and supply by duty cycle control.

Vehicular two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive switching system

An indicator including a transmittable indicator panel attached to a shielding holder (a housing), and a character or a graphic form indicated inside the indicator panel. The character or the graphic form is irradiated by a light emitting diode located inside the housing. The indicator panel is formed by a character indicating part that indicates a character or a graphic form and transmits light, a masking part that intercepts light by surrounding the character indicating part, and a transmittable margin that surrounds the masking part and transmits light. With this configuration, a character or a graphic form becomes conspicuous during the daytime, and at night is never more conspicuous than is required. Thus, the visibility of the indicator can be improved. Moreover, the configuration of the transmitting light from the light source of the indicator allows it to be accommodated in the limited space available on the indicator panel.

Indicator

To provide a control apparatus for a vehicle capable of performing the biasing, releasing, locking, and unlocking of an engine in the sequential action. A flat key is inserted in an opening portion of a casing constituting a controller. When the key is judged to be correct with respect to the vehicle, a current is allowed to flow in a solenoid, a solenoid plunger is actuated. As a result, a rachet plate is displaced, so that a first detector faces to a second detector. Thus, when an engine start switch is turned ON, a specified current is allowed to flow in a CPU of a controller. When the key is ejected from the casing, the engine is released, and the solenoid is turned OFF. At this time, by the turning of an operating lever, the first detector is separated from the second detector. By further turning of the operating lever a locked state of the handle occurs.

Control apparatus for a vehicle

The present invention relates to a method for controlling an automatic transmission of a vehicle which is capable of continuously changing a transmission ratio (Rt) and transmission coefficient (Ct). The method is three fold, that is, an initial stage control procedure, a special stage control procedure and a normal stage control procedure having priority in operation in this order. At the initial stage control procedure, Rt and Ct are determined, according to a plurality of indices representing a state of the vehicle, so that the vehicle is accelerated effectively, in general. At the special stage control procedure, Rt and Ct are determined, when a propelling force transmitting path for transmitting propelling force from an engine to the ground is disconnected at least at one part, so that a shock due to a recovery of said propelling force transmitting path is minimized. At the normal stage control procedure, Rt and Ct are determined so that the vehicle responds to the operation of the driver swiftly.
