A zoom lens barrel has a focusing operating member and a zooming operating member and a blocking member. When the blocking member is at a first position, movement of the focusing operating member is blocked so as to prevent focusing of a lens system with respect to an object at a distance shorter than a predetermined distance, and when the blocking member is at a second position, movement of the zooming operating member is blocked so as to prevent zooming outside of a predetermined focal length range of the lens system.

In a diaphragm driving device of a lens barrel which is provided between a diaphragm driving ring and a cam member and which rotates the diaphragm driving ring correspondingly to a positional variation amount provided by the cam surface of the cam member during the stop-down operation by a diaphragm interlocking device provided on a camera body, there are provided a pivotable member and a limiting member. The pivotable member has a first arm coupled to the diaphragm driving ring and a second arm engageable with the diaphragm interlocking device of the camera body, and is pivotable with respect to an axis substantially orthogonal to an optical axis lying between the first and the second arm. The limiting member is provided between the cam surface and the second arm to limit the range of pivotal movement of the pivotable member.

A zoom lens barrel includes an optical system including a forward group lens and a rearward group lens, the forward group lens comprising a first lens group and a second lens group, and means for driving the forward group lens in the direction of the optical axis for focusing. The driving means includes an operating member, a first holding member holding the first lens group and movable in the direction of the optical axis in response to the operating member, a second holding member holding the second lens group and movable in the direction of the optical axis, and means responsive to movement of the first holding member to move the second holding member while varying the spacing between the first lens group and the second lens group.

A zoom lens barrel having a single operating ring for effecting focusing by rotating operation of the operating ring about the optical axis with respect to a fixed portion and zooming by moving operation of the operating ring in the direction of the optical axis includes means provided between the operating ring and the fixed portion for limiting the operations by the operating ring. The limiting means impedes the focusing with respect to an object lying at a shorter distance than a predetermined distance when the operating ring is in a position corresponding to a short focal length with a predetermined focal length as the boundary and impedes the zooming to the short focal length when the operating ring is in a position corresponding to the focusing with respect to the object lying at the shorter distance.

Macro zoom lens barrel

A zoom lens barrel has on the outside of a fixed ring an operating ring rotatable about the optical axis and rectilinearly movable in the direction of the optical axis. The fixed ring has at least three grooves therein extending in a direction substantially coincident with the direction of the optical axis and formed substantially equidistantly in the circumferential direction of the fixed ring. The operating ring has in the inner periphery thereof a groove extending circumferentially of the operating ring. A cam ring provided inside of the operating ring has at least three grooves therein extending in a direction different from the grooves of the fixed ring and the operating ring and formed substantially equidistantly in the circumferential direction of the cam ring. A first lens frame member holding a magnification changing lens optical system and a second lens frame member holding a correction lens optical system are provided inside of the fixed ring. One of the first and second lens frame members has at least three projected members thereon. The other lens frame member is adapted to be moved in the direction of the optical axis in accordance with the rotation of the cam ring and to assume a movement different from that of the one lens frame member.

This invention relates particularly to a phototaking lens having at least a shutter speed priority automatic exposure system. The lens has a mount engageable with a mount of a camera body, which has a signal member operable when the lens is mounted and control means for making a caution and/or for stopping camera operation in response to an output of the signal member. The lens is further equipped with means for presenting the operation of the signal member, this means being disposed on the lens mount facing the signal member as the mount of the lens is engaged with the mount of the camera body. The signal member includes a retractable signal pin projected from the mount of the camera body and the preventing means includes a recess on the mount of the lens which is acceptable to the signal pin.

The disclosure describes a zoom lens barrel capable of macro-photography on which a special switch ring is provided. The switch ring is externally operable and has a cam slot comprising zooming portion and macro portion. The zoom portion is shaped to allow either of a compensator lens group or a variator lens group to move toward the direction of the optical axis of lens whereas the macro portion is so shaped not to allow it. Upon the rotation of the switch ring, a direct switchover from zooming portion to macro portion is made so as to permit macro-photography at any desired focal length.
