The wireless communication apparatus includes a wireless communicator configured to perform wireless communication, and a controller configured to perform an emergency report via the wireless communicator at a time of occurrence of a vehicle accident. The controller is configured to identify a region to which the wireless communication apparatus belongs at the time of occurrence of the vehicle accident. The controller is configured to select one emergency report scheme from the plurality of emergency report schemes based on the identified region. The controller is configured to perform the emergency report by using the one emergency report scheme selected.

A radio communication device installed on a vehicle of this application comprises a radio communicator configured to perform a radio communication with a plurality of networks, a controller configured to perform location registration or a call origination via each of the plurality of networks, and a storage configured to store location registration results or call origination results for each of the plurality of networks. When gradation of a mixed video signal is equal to or less than a predetermined gradation, a subframe data generator generates subframe data so that an applied voltage to a display element is turned off during a first predetermined period from a start of the frame of a video signal for a visible light image or a video signal for an infrared light image. A light source controller turns on a visible light source after a lapse of a second predetermined period from a start of the frame of the video signal for a visible light image, and turns off the visible light source at the timing when the frame of the video signal for a visible light image is ended.

A display device includes a display pixel unit and a signal processing unit. The display pixel unit includes a plurality of pixels arranged in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction. The signal processing unit determines a correction value corresponding to a target pixel based on differences between gradation data of the target pixel and gradation data of peripheral pixels disposed in the horizontal direction, the vertical direction, and an oblique direction with respect to the target pixel, respectively, among the plurality of pixels, increases or decreases a pixel value of the target pixel based on the correction value, and corrects the gradation data of the target pixel to reduce the differences.

A drive gradation table is configured as follows. The number of subframes turned to a drive state is increased each time drive gradations are increased. When all of the subframes are divided into a plurality of subframe groups including a plurality of continuous subframes, as gradations are increased, subframes turned to the drive state are increased in order from the latest subframe group to the earliest subframe group among the plurality of subframe groups. In each of the subframe groups, the subframes turned to the drive state are increased in order from the earlier subframe to the later subframe.

When the transmission is complete, the control unit () executes an inter-packet search process which controls the communication unit () to stop transmission of the subsequent packets and perform acquisition by switching from the currently used frequency to the handoff candidate frequency.

Wireless communication terminal, hand-off method in wireless communication terminal, and wireless communication system

A system for maintaining wireless communication with a plurality of base stations in a communication network is disclosed. A portable terminal having a communication unit is configured to measure signal strength of a transmission signal for neighboring base stations in a frequency band being used by the communication unit, and create a first handoff candidate list in which one or more handoff candidates in a same frequency band are recorded. A handoff using the first handoff candidate list is performed by the portable terminal. Thereafter, the portable terminal measures signal strength of one or more base stations included in a second handoff candidate list. The result of the signal strength measurements are reported to the currently communicating base station, and a handoff is performed based on a response to the report at the portable terminal.

Method and system for performing a handoff in a wireless communication system

A first linearly polarized bundle of rays of incident rays is converted by optical modulation with an input video signal into a second linearly polarized bundle of rays orthogonal to the first rays in polarization. The first rays pass through a polarizer before optically modulated. A second linearly polarized bundle of rays originally involved in the incident rays is reflected by the polarizer in a first direction. The second rays obtained by the optical modulation are reflected by the polarizer in a second direction. The second rays reflected in the second direction pass through another polarizer. A first linearly polarized bundle of rays involved in the reflected second rays is reflected by the other polarizer. The reflected first rays is detected by an optical sensor that is positioned outside an optical path of the second rays originally involved in the incident rays and reflected in the first direction.
