Provided are an epoxy resin composition including acid anhydrides (A) and epoxy resins (B), in which: (a) cyclohexane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid-1,2-anhydride accounts for 50 to 90 mass % of the acid anhydrides (A); (b) an alicyclic epoxy resin compound accounts for 30 to 90 mass % of the epoxy resins (B) and an epoxy resin compound represented by the following general formula (1) accounts for 10 to 50 mass % of the epoxy resins (B); and (c) contents of the acid anhydrides (A) and the epoxy resins (B) are such that a blending equivalent ratio between the acid anhydrides and the epoxy resins ranges from 0.4 to 0.7, a cured product of the composition, and a light-emitting diode. The epoxy resin composition has the following characteristics. That is, (1) the composition has a low viscosity after the mixing, a low degree of viscosity increase in standing at room temperature, and excellent workability, (2) the composition has satisfactory curability even when no curing accelerator is added, and (3) a cured product is colorless and transparent, has crack resistance, and changes its color to a small extent with long-term light irradiation and heating. The composition is suitable for an encapsulant for a photoelectric conversion element such as a blue LED or white LED. (In the formula, R's each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, m represents an integer of 1 to 3, and n represents an integer of 2 to 8.)

The present invention provides a polyurethane resin composition containing an active hydrogen compound (A) formed by adding m-xylylene diisocyanate and/or hexamethylene diisocyanate to a specific compound (C) at a reaction equivalent ratio ([the number of isocyanate groups]/[the number of hydroxyl groups]) of 0.80 to 0.10; and an organic polyisocyanate compound (B) formed by adding a specific compound (D) to m-xylylene diisocyanate and/or hexamethylene diisocyanate at a reaction equivalent ratio ([the number of isocyanate groups]/[the number of hydroxyl groups]) of 2 to 10; an adhesive and a coating material containing the resin composition; and a multi-layer film and a packaging bag containing any of these.

Provided is a fuel system comprising a fuel vessel, molded parts for the fuel vessel and/or a tube for a fuel in which bodies are constituted from a thermoplastic resin and/or a rubber, wherein a coating layer is formed on the surfaces in at least one sides of the insides and the outsides of the fuel vessel body, the molded part bodies for the fuel vessel and/or the tube body for a fuel or at least one of connected parts with these bodies; the above coating layer is formed by curing an epoxy resin composition comprising an epoxy resin and an epoxy resin curing agent as principal components; and the above coating layer has a gasoline permeability coefficient of 2 g&#xb7;mm/m&#xb7;day or less at 23&#xb0; C. and a relative humidity of 60% RH. The above coating layer is excellent in a permeation-preventing performance against an automobile fuel (gasoline barrier property), a heat resistance and an impact resistance, then a fuel vessel, molded parts for the fuel vessel and a tube which have excellent performances are obtained.

Fuel system having excellent gasoline barrier property

Provided is a fuel system comprising a fuel vessel, molded parts for a fuel and/or a tube for a fuel in which bodies are constituted from at least one of a thermoplastic resin and a synthetic rubber, wherein a coating layer is formed on the surfaces in at least one side of the insides and the outsides of the fuel vessel body, the molded part bodies for a fuel and/or the tube body for a fuel or at least one of connected parts in these bodies; the above coating layer is formed by curing a polyurethane resin composition comprising an active hydrogen-containing compound (A) and an organic polyisocyanate compound (B); and the above coating layer has a gasoline permeability coefficient of 2 g&#xb7;mm/m&#xb7;day or less at 23&#xb0; C. and a relative humidity of 60% RH. The above coating layer is excellent in a permeation-preventing performance against an automobile fuel (gasoline barrier property), an adhesion property between fuel vessel body and molding parts or tube, a heat resistance and an impact resistance, a flexibility, a bending resistance, etc., then a fuel vessel, molded parts for a fuel and a tube for a fuel which have excellent performances are obtained.

The present invention provides an acid anhydride ester obtained by esterifying cyclohexane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid-1,2-anhydride and a composition of the ester, and a heat-curable resin composition and a cured product of the composition. _Provided is an epoxy resin composition using the acid anhydride ester as a curing agent for an epoxy resin, the epoxy resin composition having, for example, the following properties (1), (2), and (3): (1) the epoxy resin composition has a low viscosity at room temperature, so the components of the composition can be favorably blended with each other, (2) the acid anhydride ester has a low vapor pressure at curing temperature, so no evaporation loss occurs after curing, and the intended design of blend is capable, and (3) a cured product to be made from the composition is colorless and transparent, and changes its color to a small extent even when the product is irradiated with light or heated for a long time period. The composition is suitably used as, for example, an encapsulant for a photoelectric conversion element such as a blue LED or a white LED, a molded article, a coating, or an adhesive.

Acid anhydride ester and composition thereof, and heat-curable resin composition and cured product thereof

An object of the present invention is to provide a modified cyclic aliphatic polyamine having a low viscosity and a small content of unreacted polyamine which can provide, when it is used as a curing agent for epoxy resin, an epoxy resin composition having an improved workability without adding solvent or diluent and an excellent property of epoxy resin cure product. The above modified cyclic aliphatic polyamine is obtained by addition reaction of a cyclic aliphatic polyamine such as isophoronediamine and norbornanediamine and an alkenyl compound such as styrene. The modified cyclic aliphatic polyamine thus obtained is added in epoxy resin to be used as a curing agent for epoxy resin.

Provided is a gas-barriering coated film obtained by coating a gas barriering layer on at least one face of a flexible film or an inorganic-deposited polymer film, wherein the above gas-barriering layer is a polyurethane resin-cured material formed from a composition comprising an active hydrogen-containing compound (A) and an organic polyisocyanate compound (B), and 20% by weight or more of a skeletal structure represented by Formula (1) is contained in the above resin-cured material. The gas-barriering coated film of the present invention is excellent in various performances such as a layer-to-layer adhesive property, a gas barriering property at a high humidity, a bending resistance and a retort treating resistance in addition to a high gas barriering property, and therefore it is applied to various uses including packing materials for food and medicines to which a high gas barriering property is required.

A modified chain aliphatic polyamine obtained by addition reaction of a chain aliphatic polyamine having a specific structure and an unsaturated hydrocarbon compound has a low viscosity and it provides, when used as a curing agent for epoxy resin, an epoxy resin composition which can provide an epoxy resin cured product having an excellent property. Further, a modified chain aliphatic polyamine composition obtained by addition reaction of a chain aliphatic polyamine having a specific structure and an unsaturated hydrocarbon compound followed by the removing step of unreacted chain aliphatic polyamine to reduce its amount less than 2% by weight provides, when used as a curing agent for epoxy resin, an epoxy resin composition which can provide an epoxy resin cured product having an excellent property.

The epoxy resin curing agent of the present invention comprises a polyamino compound obtainable by addition reaction of aliphatic diamine represented by the formula (1) and styrene and a curing accelerator comprising an organic compound having at least one carboxyl group and at least one hydroxyl group within the molecule, which can achieve a low viscosity without containing environmental harmful substances such as phenol and solvents. The epoxy resin curing agent of the present invention comprises a polyamino compound obtainable by addition reaction of aliphatic diamine represented by the formula (1) and styrene and a curing accelerator comprising an organic compound having at least one carboxyl group and at least one hydroxyl group within the molecule, which can achieve a low viscosity without containing environmental harmful substances such as phenol and solvents. In addition, the epoxy resin composition using said epoxy resin curing agent shows an excellent curability at low temperature and it provides a cured coating film having excellent appearanceHN&#x2014;HC-A-CH&#x2014;NH&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)wherein A is a phenylene group or a cyclohexylene group.

A process for producing a hollow shaped article having an inner surface which is brought into contact with fuels. The hollow shaped article is produced by bonding two or more constitutional members at peripheral edges thereof into an integral body. At least one of the constitutional members is produced by applying a fuel barrier coating composition to one or both surfaces of a thermoplastic resin sheet to form a sheet having a fuel barrier layer, and forming the sheet into the constitutional member by a pressure forming, a vacuum forming or a pressure/vacuum forming.

Process of producing hollow shaped articles

The cyclohexanetricarboxylic monoester of the present invention is represented by the following formula 1: wherein R is as defined in the specification. The cyclohexanetricarboxylic monoester is useful particularly as the curing agent for epoxy-containing compounds. A heat-curable resin composition comprising the cyclohexanetricarboxylic monoester and an epoxy-containing compound exhibits an excellent curability without using a curing accelerator and provides a colorless transparent cured product which is little discolored even under a long-term exposure to high-temperature conditions. Such a heat-curable resin composition is suitable as sealing materials for photoelectric transducers such as blue LED and white LED, shaped articles, coating materials, adhesives, etc.

Cyclohexanetricarboxylic monoester and its use

A pneumatic tire comprising a skin layer which is formed by curing a polyurethane resin composition comprising a compound having active hydrogen atoms and an organic polyisocyanate compound, has an oxygen permeation coefficient at 23&#xb0; C. under a relative humidity of 60% of 2.0 ml&#xb7;mm/m&#xb7;day&#xb7;MPa or smaller and comprises 20% by weight or more of a skeleton structure represented by formula (1) is provided. Since the tire has the skin layer formed with the polyurethane resin composition and having an excellent barrier property to gases, the weight of the tire can be decreased, durability can be improved and quiet driving can be achieved while the internal pressure is retained even when the gas filling the tire is the air, and the tire is more economical than tires filled with nitrogen gas. Unlike other tires using other materials having the barrier property to gases to decrease the weight, no adhesives are necessary for disposing the skin layer. Thus, the process can be simplified and the cost can be reduced in the production
