Antistatic films are designed and manufactured so as to have proper electrification properties that are previously defined according to types and applications of the antistatic films on the basis of simulated outbreaks of static trouble such as static marks and/or static clinging of sample films having electrostatic charges (V) and surface resistivity (R) either one or both of which differ stepwise from one another that are expressed in R-V orthogonal coordinate diagrams.

Antistatic film manufacturing method

A method for forming an image using a transfer material and an image-receiving material. The transfer material has at least a support, a light-heat exchange layer and a coloring material layer. The image-receiving material has at least an image-receiving layer. The coloring material layer is superposed on the image-receiving layer, and laser light is imagewasely irradiated onto this laminate from the transfer material side. An irradiated region of the coloring material layer transfers onto the image-receiving layer. The transfer material may include an electroconductive layer, and the surface of the coloring material layer may be charged by corona discharge before superposition. Moreover, yellow, magenta, cyan and black may be used one after another, The laser light may be irradiated from a multi-beam 2-dimensional laser array, The thickness of black coloring material layer is from 0.5 to 0.7 &mgr;m and is greater than the thickness of other coloring material layers.

Method for forming an image

An improved optical diffuser comprising a transparent support and an optical diffusing layer which is coated on one surface of the support and comprises an organic polymer binder and organic polymer particles is obtained by selecting the constituents to satisfy the conditions that a difference of refractive index between the binder and particles is not more than 0.05; the polymer particles have a mean particle size of 10 to 21 .mu.m; a weight ratio of the particles to the binder in the diffusing layer is within 1.9 to 2.6; a total weight of the coated polymer binder and particles per unit surface is within 10 to 17 g/m.sup.2 ; and a distribution of the sizes of the polymer particles is not more than 3.5 .mu.m in terms of standard deviation.

Optical diffuser

An electrostatic recording film comprising a insulating film, a conductive layer and a dielectric layer laminated in this order, wherein said dielectric layer consisting essentially of a polymer binder, insulating grains and conductive powders and said conductive powders are fibrous conductive powders, is disclosed. The electrostatic recording film of the present invention makes it possible to give a clear and sharp image suffering from little line cutout or spotting.

Electrostatic recording film

An electrostatic recording film formed by laminating an insulating film with an electroconductive layer and a dielectric layer, respectively, in which the dielectric layer contains a combination of high polymer binders comprising (A) at least one polymer selected from halogenated polyolefins, polymers of halogenated olefins and copolymers of halogenated olefins and (B) at least one polyester, the weight ratio of (A)/(B) being from 2/98 to 20/80. The film gives a high quality image in rapid recording, even after stored for a long period of time, and the image fixability of the film is excellent.

An electrostatic recording sheet comprising a support provided thereon a conductive layer and a dielectric layer, in this order, with the dielectrics layer containing polypropylene particles with a specified size distribution and exhibiting excellent moisture resistance and high transparency.

A process for producing a photographic light-sensitive material comprising providing a first light-sensitive photographic emulsion layer on one side of a support having a surface resistivity greater than 10.sup.14 .OMEGA. and a thickness of not more than 230.mu. and providing a light-sensitive photographic emulsion layer or a gelatin-containing back layer on the opposite side of the support wherein between the time the first emulsion layer is coated and the time the opposite surface of the support is coated, (i) the opposite surface of the support is prevented from coming into contact with anything except rolls having a diameter larger than about 50 mm, and (ii) the water/gelatin weight ratio in the photographic emulsion layer(s) coated on the first surface of the support prior to coating the second surface is not less than 1. The process is particularly applicable to production of X-ray films.

Process for production of a photographic light-sensitive material

Each of a pair of belts for conveying a photographing film therebetween comprises an insulating layer and at least one electrically conductive layer whose surface resistivity is less than 10.sup.9 ohms.
