A network monitoring device according to an embodiment monitors a message that is periodically transmitted in a network in which a message identified by an identifier is transmitted and received, and includes a reception time recording unit and an unauthorized-transmission determination unit. Fuel pump with discharge control

A plunger is inserted into a slide hole of a cylinder body provided between a pressurizing chamber and a drive cam, so as to reciprocate within the slide hole. The drive cam and a coil spring move the plunger toward the drive cam so that fuel is sucked into the pressurizing chamber, and also move the plunger toward the pressurizing chamber so that the fuel in the pressurizing chamber is pressurized. A clearance between the plunger and a wall of the slide hole forms a flow passage of the fuel discharged from the pressurizing chamber. In the high-pressure fuel pump constructed as above, a fluid reservoir is provided in the flow passage. The capacity of the fluid reservoir increases as the plunger moves toward the drive cam, and decreases as the plunger moves toward the pressurizing chamber.

High-pressure pump

The invention is directed to an arrangement for sealing a clearance between a cylinder head and a cylinder block of an engine with a metal gasket clamped therebetween. The metal gasket is formed of a metallic base plate which has a plurarity of openings and beads formed therearound. The base plate may include annular shims welded on the base plate around the openings and a resilient sealing member deposited on the base plate surrounding the openings. The gasket may be disposed in such a manner as to place tip ends of the beads toward the cylinder block which causes a smaller displacement relative to the beads in comparison with the cylinder head. The resilient sealing member may be arranged to have a section of different dimension between a portion located at a side facing the beads and other portion at the opposite side thereof, or between a portion located at a junction where two of the beads meet and other portion.

Metal gasket

A metal gasket having first and second base plates made of metal. In each base plate, at least an opening is defined and a bead is formed around the opening. The second base plate is disposed in parallel with the first base plate with the tip ends of the beads of the first and second base plates facing each other. An annular metallic shim is secured to the first base plate at the side of the bead between the inner periphery of the bead and the opening. And, a resilient sealing member is deposited on the second base plate at the side of the bead around the outer periphery of the bead. A non-vulcanized coating layer of fluoro rubber containing no vulcanizing agent may be deposited on the entire surface of the second base plate at the side of the bead. A vulcanized fluoro rubber may be deposited on the non-vulcanized coating layer at the side of the bead around the outer periphery of the bead.

Metal gasket with welded shim

A main metallic gasket body is formed by interposing an intermediate plate between two elastic metallic plates, each of which have a bead formed around combustion chambers. The intermediate plate is divided into two pieces, steps are formed by the two pieces, and spaced formed between the pieces are provided with thermal spray stoppers.
