There are provided a useful resin composition for a back-surface layer and a heat-sensitive transfer recording material using the same, wherein under the circumstances where the temperature of thermal heads has been increased, the back-surface layer of the formed heat-sensitive transfer recording material has more excellent heat resistance, damage to a thermal head can be alleviated, and durability is excellent in that bleeding is suppressed even if the silicone content is increased. The present invention provides a resin composition for a back-surface layer to be used for forming a back-surface layer of a heat-sensitive transfer recording material, the resin composition containing, as film-forming components, a siloxane-modified urethane- or urea-based resin A, a resin B, and a cross-linking agent C, wherein the resin A contains a polysiloxane component in a range of 5 to 55%, the resin B has at least one active-hydrogen-containing group and has a glass transition point of lower than 100° C., and when the total amount of the resin A, resin B, and the cross-linking agent C is assumed to be 100%, the resin A is contained within a range of 1 to 79%, the resin B is contained within a range of 1 to 79%, and the cross-linking agent C is contained within a range of 20 to 80%. The present invention also provides a heat-sensitive transfer recording material using the resin composition for a back-surface layer.

Resin composition for back-surface layer and heat-sensitive transfer recording material

A chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay method whereby a target substance such as a protein is assayed. This chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay method comprises: the step of capturing an immune complex containing an enzyme-labeled antibody, which is labeled with an enzyme acting a chemiluminescent substrate, and the target substance on a support having no solution layer; the step of overlaying a support membrane containing the chemiluminescent substrate on the immune complex having been captured above; and the step of measuring the luminescence dose caused by the reaction between the enzyme-labeled antibody and the chemiluminescent substrate to thereby quantify the target substance. Since a highly sensitive chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay is conducted by using a non-liquid phase type reaction system in the chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay method as described above, multiple items can be assayed by using only a small amount of a specimen and, furthermore, the target substance can be assayed at a high sensitivity thereby without resorting to any troublesome procedures such as pipetting a reagent.

A thermal ink ribbon has a base sheet, a thermal recording layer arranged on one side of the base sheet, and a back layer arranged on an opposite side of the base sheet. The back layer according to the present invention comprises a polyurethane resin which is obtained by reacting a low molecular weight polymer having at least one active-hydrogen-containing group at one end of the molecule, a compound having at least one active-hydrogen group and at least one hydrophilic group except a hydroxide group, with a polyisocyanate. The back layer is excellent in the adhesiveness to a base sheet, the heat resistance relative to a thermal head and slipperiness to a thermal head; and the ink ribbon with such a back layer has no problems in printed characters and figures on printing, in the migration of impurities from the back layer into an ink layer, in smeariness of a thermal head and in its maintenance. Such a back layer is capable of being formed on a surface of a base sheet by only applying the coating, which comprises the above polyurethane resin, for forming a back layer; and drying the coated layer.

An ink-jet recording sheet is provided with at least one ink-receiving layer on at least one side of a base material sheet. A resin component which constitutes the ink-receiving layer comprises a hydrophilic resin containing tertiary amino groups in a molecule thereof or a hydrophilic resin containing tertiary amino groups and polysiloxane segments in a molecule thereof. A coating formulation suitable in use for the production of the ink-jet recording sheet is also disclosed.

A resin component which constitutes the ink-receiving layer comprises a hydrophilic polyurethane resin, hydrophilic polyurea resin, hydrophilic polyurethane-polyurea resin or hydrophilic polyamide resin having siloxane segments in a molecule thereof. As an alternative, the ink-receiving layer comprises a porous hydrophilic polyurethane resin, a porous hydrophilic polyurea resin or a porous hydrophilic polyurethane-polyurea resin.

A coating formulation suitable in use for the production of the ink-jet recording sheet is also disclosed.
