According to the present invention, an electrolyte is composed of one or more lithium salts of asymmetric imides each having a perfluoroalkyl group, or a mixed salt of a lithium salt of an asymmetric imide having a perfluoroalkyl group and a lithium salt of a symmetric imide having a perfluoroalkyl group. The composition ratio of the one or more lithium salts and the mixed salt is expressed by (lithium salt of asymmetric imide)(lithium salt of symmetric imide)(wherein x is from 0.1 to 1.0) in terms of the molar ratio; the asymmetric imide lithium salt is (CFSO)(CFSO)NLi or (CFSO)(CFSO)NLi; the symmetric imide lithium salt is (CFSO)NLi; and the composition of an electrolyte solution according to the present invention contains 1.0 mole or more but less than 2 moles of a solvent per 1 mole of the one or more lithium salts or the lithium salts of the mixed salt.

According to the method for producing bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide salt of the present invention, the method for producing fluorosulfate, and the method for producing bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide onium salt, first, an aqueous solution is prepared by dissolving a mixed liquid containing bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide and fluorosulfonic acid in water. Then, the aqueous solution is neutralized with an alkaline compound, producing bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide salt and fluorosulfate. According to the method for producing bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide of the present invention, first, an unreacted mixed liquid is prepared by mixing a first fluorosulfonic acid with urea in a condition free of a chemical reaction between the first fluorosulfonic acid and urea. Then, the unreacted mixed liquid is dripped into a heated second fluorosulfonic acid or a heated bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide, allowing a chemical reaction between fluorosulfonic acid and urea to proceed. In this method, generation of carbon dioxide gas and heat during the chemical reaction can be controlled.

Divalent and trivalent metal salts are added to the solution containing the fluorine compound to precipitate the layered double hydroxide containing the fluorine compound between layers. By these processes, the fluorine compound can be fixed with high rate. Moreover, if necessary, the precipitated layered double hydroxide can be recovered to separate the fluorine compound or its salt between layers. Therefore, the burden to environment or the ecosystem by the fluorine compound can be reduced.

Divalent and trivalent metal salts are added to the solution containing the fluorine compound and the polymer containing fluorine to precipitate the layered double hydroxide containing the fluorine compound between layers. At this time, the polymer containing fluorine suspended in the solution is also coagulated to precipitate. By these processes, the fluorine compound is fixed with high rate to separate from the solution with the polymer containing fluorine, and recovered if necessary. By this treatment process, the fluorine compound and the polymer containing fluorine, contained in the wastewater etc. can be separated easily, and the burden to environment or ecosystem can be reduced.
