To reduce size increase, an impact tool includes a motor, a spindle located frontward from the motor, rotatable by the motor, and having a support hole extending rearward from a front end of the spindle, a hammer supported by the spindle, a ball between the spindle and the hammer, and an anvil received in the support hole and strikable by the hammer in a rotation direction. The anvil has a rear end located rearward from the ball.

Impact tool

A screwdriver allows a screwing operation and an unscrewing operation to be performed smoothly. A screwdriver includes a housing, a motor including a stator and a rotor, a spindle, a clutch assembly, and a spindle locking assembly. The spindle includes a rod to which a tip tool is attachable, and is supported by the housing in a manner movable between an advanced position and a retracted position in a front-rear direction. The spindle has a reception hole extending frontward from a rear end face of the spindle. The clutch assembly transmits a rotational force from the rotor to the spindle in response to the spindle moving to the retracted position during forward rotation of the rotor. The spindle locking assembly transmits a rotational force from the rotor to the spindle during reverse rotation of the rotor, and includes the reception hole, and a countershaft placed in the reception hole.

Screwdriver

To reduce size increase, an impact tool includes a motor, a spindle located frontward from the motor and rotatable by the motor, an inner hammer supported by the spindle, an outer hammer surrounding the inner hammer and rotatable together with the inner hammer, an anvil strikable by the inner hammer in a rotation direction, a hammer case accommodating the inner hammer and the outer hammer, and a bearing held in the hammer case and supporting the outer hammer in a rotatable manner.

To reduce size increase, an impact tool includes a motor, a spindle located frontward from the motor and rotatable by the motor, a hammer supported by the spindle, an anvil strikable by the hammer in a rotation direction and having an insertion hole extending rearward from a front end of the anvil, a locking member supported by the anvil and movable to a locking position for locking a tip tool placed in the insertion hole and to an unlocking position for unlocking the tip tool, and a bit sleeve surrounding the anvil. The bit sleeve is movable to a movement-restricting position for restricting radially outward movement of the locking member and to a movement-permitting position for permitting radially outward movement of the locking member. The bit sleeve is at least partly between the hammer and the anvil in a radial direction.

A housing holding a stator has increased rigidity. A vibration driver drill includes a motor including a stator and a rotor rotatable relative to the stator, a gear case in front of the motor, a gear in the gear case to receive rotation of the rotor, an output shaft protruding frontward from the gear case to receive rotation from the gear, an integral cylindrical housing accommodating the motor and including a front portion with an opening and a rear portion closed, a gear case housing connected to the front portion of the integral cylindrical housing and including a right part and a left part and holding the gear case, and a grip housing extending downward from the gear case housing.

Electric rotary tool

A reducer appropriately selects from three or more variable speeds to match multiple operational modes. An impact driver includes a motor, a reducer that reduces rotation from the motor to select from three or more variable speeds, a plurality of actuators to be actuated by the rotation reduced by the reducer, and a switcher that selects, from the plurality of actuators, a specific actuator to be actuated in a predetermined operational mode. The switcher causes the reducer to cooperate with the selected specific actuator and actuates the reducer at a predetermined variable speed of the three of more variable speeds corresponding to the predetermined operational mode of the selected specific actuator.

Power tool and impact tool

To reduce size increase, a power tool includes a motor, an output shaft located frontward from the motor, rotatable by the motor, and having an insertion hole extending rearward from a front end of the output shaft, a bearing supporting the output shaft in a rotatable manner, a locking member supported by the output shaft and movable to a locking position for locking a tip tool placed in the insertion hole and to an unlocking position for unlocking the tip tool, a bit sleeve surrounding the output shaft, and movable to a movement-restricting position for restricting radially outward movement of the locking member and to a movement-permitting position for permitting radially outward movement of the locking member, and an operable member operable to move the bit sleeve and at least partly overlapping the bearing in an axial direction.

Power tool

A power tool receives a reaction force with an auxiliary handle attached to the power tool. An auxiliary handle attachable to a power tool includes a first arm, a second arm that fastens, together with the first arm, at least a part of the power tool located between the first arm and the second arm, a handle, a grip sensor that detects the handle being gripped with the first arm and the second arm fastening at least the part of the power tool in between, and a signal output unit that outputs, to the power tool, a grip signal indicating that the handle is gripped based on a detection signal from the grip sensor.

Electric power tool and auxiliary handle

A power tool with a small size in an axial direction includes a reducer allowing smooth and stable switching between variable speeds. The power tool includes a motor, a reducer that reduces rotation from the motor, and an actuator actuated by the rotation reduced by the reducer. The reducer includes a preceding internal gear in a preceding stage, a succeeding internal gear in a succeeding stage, an engagement member radially outward from the internal gears and switchable between a first position to restrict rotation of the preceding internal gear and a second position to restrict rotation of the succeeding internal gear, planetary gears that revolve within the internal gears, carriers supporting the planetary gears, and an operation unit to switch the engagement member selectively to the first position or the second position.

A power tool includes a reducer that has a small size in an axial direction and is highly durable, although including a transmission mechanism. The power tool includes a motor, a reducer that reduces rotation from the motor, and an actuator to be actuated by the rotation reduced by the reducer. The reducer includes at least two stages of internal gears aligned in an axial direction, a preceding planetary gear and a succeeding planetary gear adjacent to each other in the axial direction to revolve within the internal gears, and at least two stages of carriers aligned in the axial direction. A carrier of the carriers supports the preceding planetary gear and the succeeding planetary gear radially overlapping each other with a single pin.

A work tool switches smoothly between operational modes and has a lever member that is easily joined. The work tool includes an operation member, a lever member, and a switching member. The lever member is swingable about a support shaft in response to an operation on the operation member and is swingable with the support shaft placed through the lever member. The lever member has an elongated hole through which the support shaft is placed. The elongated hole extends along the lever member. The switching member is linked with a swing of the lever member to move linearly.

Work tool and impact tool

An electric vibration driver drill as one example of an electric power tool includes the gear housing, the vibration mechanism and the clutch mechanism each located inside the gear housing, the mode switching ring (vibration switching ring) configured to operate the vibration mechanism and rotatably held to the gear housing, the clutch ring (clutch switching ring) configured to operate the clutch mechanism and rotatably held to the housing, and the respective balls located between the mode switching ring and the clutch ring.

Electric power tool and electric vibration driver drill

The drill includes a motor, a spindle rotatable with a rotational force transmitted from the motor, a clutch assembly that disables transmission of the rotational force to the spindle in response to a rotational load on the spindle reaching a release value and including an elastic member that adjusts the release value, and a change ring switchable from a clutch mode in which the clutch assembly is operable to a nonclutch mode in which the clutch assembly is inoperable in response to the change ring operated in a forward rotation direction. In the clutch mode, the elastic member elastically deforms to reduce the release value in response to the change ring operated in the forward rotation direction, and to increase the release value in response to the change ring operated in a backward rotation direction.

Electric driver drill

A power tool allows mode switching and clutch operation torque switching using a single ring. An electric vibration driver drill includes an internal gear that meshes with planetary gears, an internal gear lock pin that moves forward relative to the internal gear to lock the internal gear, a first vibration cam fixed to a spindle, a second vibration cam that rubs against the first vibration cam and rotate relative to a gear housing, a vibration switch lever that moves forward relative to the second vibration cam to lock the second vibration cam in a nonrotatable manner, and an annular change ring that switches between forward movement and rearward movement of the internal gear lock pins and switches between forward movement and rearward movement of the vibration switch lever.

Rotation of a spindle relative to a first cam is reduced. A power tool includes a spindle to receive a tip tool and rotatable about a rotation axis, and a vibration mechanism that vibrates the spindle in an axial direction. The spindle has an outer surface including, in a cross section orthogonal to the rotation axis, a first portion at a first distance from the rotation axis, and a second portion at a second distance from the rotation axis. The vibration mechanism includes a first cam surrounding the spindle, and a second cam located behind and in contact with the first cam.
