The present invention provides hair cosmetics containing (a) an amideamine (I): wherein RCO represents fatty acid residues among which Cor more fatty acid residues account for 60 percent by weight or more, Cfatty acid residues account for 3 percent by weight or more, and Cfatty acid residues account for 50 to 95 percent by weight; (b) an organic acid; and (c) a C8 to C30 aliphatic alcohol, wherein the content of the component (b) is 1.5 to times as many moles as the amine equivalent of the component (a).

A hair cosmetic which can impart, to hairs, flexibility, smoothness and oily feeling when the hairs are wetted and smoothness, softness and combing easiness after the hairs are dried are provided, the hair cosmetic comprising an amine represented by the formula (I): Formula (I) (wherein Rrepresents a Calkyl group or alkenyl group or a group represented by the formula RO-(AO)&#x2014;CH&#x2014;(Rrepresents a Calkyl group or alkenyl group having 8 to 40 carbon atoms, A represents a Calkylene group, n denotes a number from 0 to 30 in average and m denotes an integer of 2 or 3), Rrepresents a Calkylene group, Rrepresents H, a Calkyl group, alkenyl group or hydroxyalkyl group or a Caryl group or arylalkyl group, Rrepresents H, a Calkyl group, alkylene group or hydroxyalkyl group or a Caryl group or arylalkyl group, p denotes an integer from 1 to 3, q and r denote integers from 0 to 2 and p+q+r is equal to 3. Also, the amine (I) can be produced with high selectivity and highly economically by reacting a primary amine with an aminocarboxylic acid to run amidation. Provided is a conditioner composition, which comprises a tertiary amine represented by the following formula (1): wherein, Rrepresents a linear or branched Calkyl or alkenyl group, Rand Rare the same or different and each represents a Calkyl group or a group -(AO)H (in which A represents a Calkylene group, and n stands for a number of from 1 to 6 with the proviso that n pieces of A are the same or different and are arranged in any order); or a salt thereof. The conditioner composition can impart fiber or hair with good suppleness and smoothness during wetting and after drying and is particularly excellent in imparting hair or fiber with smoothness after drying.

The conditioner composition can impart fiber or hair with good suppleness and smoothness during wetting and after drying and is particularly excellent in imparting hair or fiber with smoothness after drying.
