A steering control apparatus for a marine vessel that is able to automatically reduce chine walk includes a processor to obtain behavior information on a hull, including one or more of a behavior relating to a shift of the hull in a roll direction, a shift of the hull in a yaw direction, a shift of the hull in crosswise direction, a steering load, and a helm operation load. When judging that one or more conditions to change a steering mode to a counter steering mode are satisfied, the processor changes the steering mode to the counter steering mode. In the counter steering mode, the processor controls steering of the marine vessel by performing counter steering so as to reduce at least some of one or more of the behaviors of the hull based on the obtained behavior information.

A control system includes an outboard motor, a sway sensor, and a controller. The outboard motor includes a power source and a propeller shaft. The power source includes a rotating shaft. The propeller shaft is connected to the rotating shaft. The sway sensor outputs a signal indicative of the sway of the boat. The controller is communicatively connected to the sway sensor. The controller receives the signal indicative of the sway of the boat. The controller controls at least one of a moment of inertia of the rotating shaft around the rotating shaft, a rotation speed of the rotating shaft, or a tilt angle of the rotating shaft according to the sway of the boat to generate an inertial force against the sway of the boat.

Control system and control method for outboard motor

A golf car includes an engine and a shroud that covers a cylinder body. The shroud communicates with a muffler cover, which covers a muffler. A silencer is provided at an outlet of the muffler. An elastic exhaust duct is connected to an exit end portion of the muffler cover. An undercover is located lower than the engine, and defines an underside of an engine room. The undercover includes an opening at a more rearward position than the muffler in a side view. The exhaust duct is routed above the undercover, includes a rearward end portion at the opening, and is fitted to the opening. Holders hold sound absorbing members on an inner circumferential surface of the exhaust duct.

Vehicle

A golf car includes a floor panel between front wheels and rear wheels. The floor panel includes first and second panels. An opening is provided in the second panel. A groove communicates with the opening, and is continuous from the second panel to the first panel. The groove is covered by a lid. External air from the groove is supplied by a fan into a shroud which covers a cylinder body and also into a muffler cover which covers a muffler. External air from an air intake duct, which faces the groove, is cleaned by an air cleaner and then supplied into the engine.

Disclosed is a novel transdermally absorbable preparation which enables the efficient, stable and long-term administration of a drug to a living body. More specifically, the transdermally absorbable preparation comprises: a laminate comprising an outer film, a drug-containing layer and a support layer laminated in this order from the side to be contacted with the skin; and a fixing means for fixing the laminate on the skin. In the transdermally absorbable preparation, the outer film is a drug-permeable polymer film that can control the release of the drug into the skin and is provided as a surface of the laminate which is to be contact with the skin.

Disclosed is a percutaneous absorption preparation which enables the stable administration of an antidementia drug over a long period of time. More particularly, the percutaneous absorption preparation of the antidementia drug which is used as a plaster on skin comprises at least an adherent layer, an intermediate membrane, and a drug reservoir layer sequentially from the side which is plastered on skin, wherein the drug reservoir layer comprises at least an antidementia drug, an aminated polymer, a polyhydric alcohol, and one or more carboxylic acid esters, the intermediate membrane enables the controlled permeation of the antidementia drug into the side of skin, the adherent layer enables the plastering of the percutaneous absorption preparation on skin, and is permeable to the antidementia drug.

Percutaneous absorption preparations of antidementia drugs

An internal combustion engine that is comprised of a combustion chamber formed by a cylinder bore closed at one end by a cylinder head and by a piston reciprocating in the cylinder bore. At least one intake passage serves the combustion chamber through an intake port valved by an intake valve. A throttle valve is provided in the intake passage upstream of the intake port and is movable between an opened, full throttle position and a closed, idle position for controlling the flow through the intake passage into the combustion chamber. At least one exhaust passage serves the combustion chamber through an exhaust port. An exhaust valve controls the flow through the exhaust port. Valve actuating means are provided for operating the intake valve and the exhaust valve between their open and closed positions. The portion of the intake passage between the throttle valve and the intake port (intake passage volume) and the maximum volume of the combustion chamber when the piston is at its bottom dead center position (exhaust gas volume) are set to a predetermined ratio. The described constructions permit a very compact construction that permits the intake passage volume to be kept small to achieve the desired ratio.

Engine having combustion control system

A number of embodiments of induction systems for multiple valve internal combustion engines wherein the performance of the engine is improved throughout the engine speed and load ranges by providing variable effective areas for the induction passages. The embodiments disclosed all relate to three intake valve engines and show a number of different variations in intake passages. In all embodiments an EGR system is employed for improving exhaust emission control.

Induction control system for multi-valve engine

A number of embodiments of engines that improve engine performance and lean running stability by employing internal EGR controlled by controlling the volume of the intake passage between the throttle valve and the intake port in relation to the maximum combustion chamber volume.

An intake system for an engine is disclosed. The intake system is arranged to selectively provide exhaust gas recirculation for improving emission quality. The engine has at least one combustion chamber and an exhaust valve controlled exhaust passage leading from the combustion chamber for routing exhaust therefrom. The intake system includes an intake passage leading to the combustion chamber, an intake valve arranged to control the flow of air into the combustion chamber and a throttle valve positioned in the intake passage upstream of the intake valve. A mechanism is provided for changing the volume of the intake passage between the throttle valve and intake valve for selectively inducing exhaust gas recirculation during an opening overlap of the exhaust and intake valves.

Engine intake system for controlling internal exhaust gas recirculation

Several embodiments of multi-valve internal combustion engines, wherein low-speed hydrocarbon emissions are reduced by restricting the opening of at least one of the exhaust valves under this running condition. In addition, and in accordance with at least one of the embodiments, one of the intake valves is partially open during a portion of the exhaust cycle to further improve emission control.

Engine combustion chamber and method of operation

A number of embodiments of multi-valve internal combustion engines having a manifold fuel injection and a control valve which changes the air flow pattern into the combustion chamber between an unrestricted flow and a restricted flow wherein turbulence is generated. An air assist arrangement including a number of different embodiments of insert pieces are employed for changing the spray pattern in response to the position of the control valve so as to provide the desired fuel flow into the combustion chamber when the control valve is controlling the air flow.

Direction injection system for multi-valve engine

An improved feedback control system for an engine that employs only a single sensor associated with only one cylinder of the engine. Cylinder-to-cylinder adjustments are made based upon measurement of the differences in crankshaft speed during a portion of the compression stroke for each cylinder so as to provide an accurate indication of air flow to the individual cylinders.
