A control apparatus for a vehicle that includes: drive wheels; an engine; a flywheel damper connected to the engine; at least one inertial body provided between the flywheel damper and the drive wheels; and a clutch for connecting and disconnecting between the flywheel damper and the at least one inertial body. In a process of reduction of a rotational speed of the engine for stopping the engine, the control apparatus keeps the clutch engaged until the rotational speed has passed through a first resonance speed range, and causes the clutch to be released before the rotational speed reaches a second resonance speed range. The first resonance speed range is a range of the rotational speed in which resonance is generated with the clutch being released. The second resonance speed range is a range of the rotational speed in which the resonance is generated with the clutch being engaged.

Control apparatus of the idle rotation speed of the internal combustion engine of a vehicle with an automatic transmission and a torque converter

A transmission includes a case having an internal space; a first partition wall which is provided in the case and forms a boundary between a first chamber which is arranged in the case and houses a rotating object, and a second chamber which is arranged in the case, is connected to the first chamber, and maintains equal pressure between the first chamber and outside air; a second partition wall which is provided in the case and forms a boundary between the second chamber and a third chamber which is arranged in the case and stores fluid below the second chamber; and a third partition wall which is provided in the case and forms a boundary between the first chamber and the third chamber. A first hole and a second hole are formed in that order from the first chamber side in the second partition wall.

An ECU executes a program including the steps of: determining whether or not the conditions for execution of low-temperature neutral control: the temperature of the automatic transmission hydraulic fluid is at most a threshold value; the shift position is D or R position; the vehicle speed is zero; and the brake is ON and the vehicle is stopped, are continuously satisfied for a period of time represented by a threshold value; executing the neutral control when the conditions for execution of low-temperature neutral control are continuously satisfied for at least the period represented by the threshold value; returning from the neutral control when the conditions for execution of low-temperature neutral control are not satisfied; and restricting the throttle opening position in returning from the neutral control.

Control apparatus and control method for vehicle mounted with automatic transmission

When a vehicle stops in a driving range such as a D-range at low oil temperature such as the initial stage of starting the engine, air-mixed operating oil may be supplied from the second oil passage into the torque converter. In this case, at the release of the lockup clutch in which the second line oil pressure is supplied from the second oil passage to the lockup clutch, the third oil passage is shut off (blocked) to inhibit the discharge of the operating oil. Therefore, regardless of larger pipe passage resistance due to higher viscosity, the operating oil in the torque converter is certainly discharged from the first oil passage through the cooler oil passage to the oil cooler and bubbles in the torque converter is reduced in association of the discharge of the operating oil.

Hydraulic control device of lockup clutch

An oil suction device for an automatic transmission includes: an oil pan that receives oil supplied to various portions of the automatic transmission and returned to the oil pan and reserves the received oil therein; an oil strainer located over the oil pan; a suction port drawing in the oil reserved in the oil pan; and an elastic wall provided selectively between a portion of the oil pan that receives a relatively small amount of the oil returned to the oil pan and the suction port, the elastic wall extending from a bottom surface of the oil pan and reaching a lower surface of the oil strainer to interrupt a flow of oil.
