Friction stir welding tool

In a first step, friction stir welding is performed, while supplying a filler into a joining portion, in order to prevent the coarsening of crystal grains of metal materials in a subsequent fusion processing. Then, a fusion processing such as MIG welding is performed. The filler to be added to the joining portion includes a substance that does not chemically react with the metal materials and has a melting point higher than a melting point of the metal materials and a substance in which a misfit with the metal materials is within &#xb1;15%. As a result, the coarsening of crystal grains by the fusion processing is inhibited and the joint strength can be increased.

Process for working metal material and structures

In a catheter guide wire formed of an identical material, since the catheter guide wire consists of a portion having a transformation point and portions not having a transformation point, the body portion will not be excessively flexible and has appropriate rigidity while the connect portion maintains flexibility, so that the power of pressing the catheter guide wire is sufficiently transmitted to the connect portion side from the body portion side, whereby insertion operability of the guide wire is improved.

A process for separation of components of a mixture of more than one organic substance or of a mixture of at least one organic substance and water by extraction using a supercritical fluid as an extractant. Process for separation using supercritical fluid

A storage cabinet comprises a box and a lid and is formed at the lid with a plurality of air inlets providing communication between the inside of the box and a luggage compartment and also formed at the box with a plurality of air vents providing communication between the inside of the box and an air outlet grille incorporated in a rear pillar. The air inlets are formed in the inclined wall portions of the lid having a zigzag vertical section so that articles contained in the storage cabinet are prevented from being seen through the lid. The box is also provided with inside projections adjacent the air vents so that the articles are prevented from closing the air vents.

Combined storage cabinet and ventilator for automotive vehicle

A cover plate for covering an upper opening of a spare wheel housing for accommodating a spare wheel of a vehicle. The cover plate is so formed as to completely cover the upper opening of the spare wheel housing and is provided at a center of a lower surface of the cover plate with anchoring means adapted to resiliently engage a hub hole of a wheel disc of a spare wheel, thereby preventing the cover plate from being shifted by vibrations or other forces of the vehicle.
