A hybrid vehicle drive device includes a clutch that transmits and separates a driving force between an engine output shaft and a transmission input shaft; a first electric motor having a first rotor that is connected to an engine output shaft side of the clutch; a second electric motor having a second rotor that is connected to an transmission input shaft side of the clutch; and a radial vibration suppressing device, wherein (1) the first electric motor is connected to the engine output shaft via the radial vibration suppressing device, and (2) the radial vibration suppressing device suppresses a vibration of the engine output shaft in a radial direction.

Hybrid vehicle drive device

A driving apparatus includes a transmission mechanism portion; a motor housed in a motor housing located at an engine side of the transmission mechanism portion; and a clutch interposed between an engine output shaft and an input shaft of the transmission mechanism portion, wherein: a secondary side of the clutch, which is connected to the input shaft, is configured by a cover; a rotor of the motor is integrally connected to the cover, which is the secondary side of the clutch; a stator of the motor is fixed to the motor housing; a front hub positioned at the engine side of the cover is rotatably supported at a front wall member of the motor housing; and a rear hub positioned at the transmission mechanism portion side of the cover is rotatably supported at a rear wall member of the motor housing.

Driving apparatus for hybrid vehicle

A hydraulic power transmission device includes a toroid portion, a turbine hub, and a lock-up device. The toroid portion includes a pump impeller and a turbine runner. The turbine hub is engaged with an input shaft of a transmission and holds the turbine runner. The lock-up device is installed so that it engages and disengages freely and it mechanically transmits to the turbine hub rotation that is transmitted from a drive power source. The toroid portion and the lock-up device overlap in the axial direction. Because the toroid portion and the lock-up device overlap in the axial direction, the size of the hydraulic power transmission device in the axial direction can be reduced, and the hydraulic power transmission device can be made more compact.

Hydraulic power transmission device

A hybrid drive unit includes a three-element planetary gear coupled to two motors, and a reduction planetary gear which is drivingly connected to the three-element planetary gear and switches modes by controlling a clutch and a brake. A three-element direct drive mode is able to be achieved by providing another clutch which couples together any two elements of the reduction planetary gear, and locking up the reduction planetary gear. As a result, motor output is reduced compared with a four-element direct drive mode of related art during high-speed running, and energy recovery efficiency during regeneration can also be improved.

Hybrid drive unit

An output of an internal combustion engine is transmitted to an output shaft by controlling a control motor to change a rotation speed output from the engine without speed steps via power distribution planetary gear. An output of a drive motor is input to the output shaft by changing the speed into two-step decelerated rotation by means of an automatic transmission. The transmission produces a desired torque by decelerating the speed by a large degree when a vehicle speed is low, and produces a desired number of revolutions by decelerating the speed by a small degree when the vehicle speed is high.

A range switching device is provided that is capable of selecting a running range accurately using a simple configuration and control. The range switching device includes a conversion mechanism which, in turn, includes a ball screw shaft, a ball nut, and other members. The ball nut is connected to a spool through an arm member, a range control shaft, and a detent lever. The spool is moved into a specified selection region among a plurality of selection regions by the conversion mechanism and the arm member. Then, the spool is more precisely moved to a selection position within the specified selection region by the detent mechanism and positioned and held thereat.

Vehicle running range switching device

A control unit for a hybrid vehicle includes a take-off detection unit that detects a start of movement of the hybrid vehicle from a stopped state; and a torque control unit that limits a engine torque input to an automatic transmission from becoming excessive by generating negative torque using a regeneration operation of a motor on occasions when the start of running of the hybrid vehicle is detected by the take-off detection unit. Accordingly, it is possible to reliably inhibit problems, such as an occupant of the hybrid vehicle being caused to feel an unpleasant jolt due to torque transmitted to a driven wheel side increasing instantaneously as a result of change in an application state of a clutch during the start of movement.

A control device for a hybrid vehicle, the hybrid vehicle including a motor, connected to an engine output shaft, to which an engine output is transmitted, and an automatic transmission, the automatic transmission including an input shaft, connected to the engine output shaft, and an output shaft, connected to a driving wheel, the control device including a request output detection unit that detects a driver's requested output; an engine control unit that controls the engine output; a motor control unit that controls motor output so that total output of the motor output and the engine output becomes the driver's requested output; and a limitation request output unit that, when the driver's request output is larger than input-available driving force to the input shaft of the automatic transmission, outputs a limitation request to limit the total output to limitation output, which is smaller than or equal to the input-available driving force, wherein the motor control unit, when the limitation request is output by the limitation request output unit, controls the motor output so that the total output of the motor output and the engine output becomes the limitation output.

A fluid pressure control device including a torque converter that is placed between a output shaft of an engine and an input shaft of a transmission, a mechanical oil pump that is driven by the output shaft, a clutch that directly engages the output shaft and the input shaft by employing an engagement pressure based on a fluid pressure that is generated by the mechanical oil pump, an electric oil pump that can supply a fluid pressure to the clutch, and a control unit for controlling the electric oil pump, wherein when the engagement pressure based on the fluid pressure that is generated by the mechanical oil pump is an amount below a necessary engagement pressure that is necessary to engage the clutch, the control unit drives the electric oil pump so as to supply a fluid pressure by at least the amount to the clutch.

Fluid pressure control device for lock-up mechanism

A motor/generator is arranged radially outward of a middle portion of a front cover of a torque converter so that at least a part of the motor/generator axially overlaps the torque converter, with a predetermined gap (C) between the front cover and the rotor of the motor/generator. The rotor of the motor/generator is supported by either the torque converter or an engine crankshaft or by any two of the torque converter, a motor housing and the crankshaft. The rotor is not affected by the torque converter and the efficiency of the motor is not reduced.

Vehicle control apparatus

A lubricating apparatus, for a friction engagement element that engages a rotatable member with a case includes a hub connected to the rotatable member, friction members disposed between the hub and the case, a hydraulic servo for engaging the friction members, and an oil passage for supplying lubricant from the case to the friction members. A discharge opening of the oil passage is formed at a position which is radially inward of the friction members and which is axially to a side of the friction members. The discharge opening is directed toward the friction members. A weir member for restricting escape of lubricant in the axial direction through a gap between the hub and the friction members is provided at the other axial side of the friction members. Therefore, the axial escape of lubricant exiting the friction members can be prevented by a non-contact leakage restriction that does not cause drag resistance. The radially outward stream of oil between the friction members is secured, and the friction members can be reliably cooled to remove heat generated by slip control of the friction engagement element.

A control apparatus for a vehicle which executes an automatic stop control of an engine on the basis of a stop condition, and executes a restart control of the engine on the basis of a start condition. The vehicle includes an engagement element which freely interrupts and establishes power transmission between an output of the engine and a drive wheel, a hydraulic servo which freely operates an engagement state of the engagement element and a control unit which executes a feedback control for bringing a hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic servo into a state immediately before the frictional engagement element is engaged, on the basis of the engagement state of the engagement element wherein the control unit starts the feedback control after the hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic servo is controlled to a predetermined hydraulic pressure when the restart control of the engine is executed.

Control apparatus and method for vehicle having an idle stop function

When a driver depresses an accelerator pedal to request a shift such as a downshift or the like, a maximum shift target changing rate (shift speed) of a CVT having a belt-type continuously variable shift apparatus is set based on the shift inertia of the CVT and the like. An assist torque is set by subtracting the normal torque of an internal combustion engine from a torque needed to achieve the maximum shift target changing rate. The assist torque and the torque outputtable from an electric motor based on the characteristic of the motor are compared. If the assist torque is greater than the motor torque, the target changing rate is restricted by an assist possible rate based on the ratio between the assist torque and the motor torque. The shift of the CVT is controlled by the target changing rate (shift speed). Thus, the apparatus allows a quick speed by assisting with a motor torque and, in a case where the assist torque from the motor is insufficient in quantity, allows a shift at a speed in accordance with the case, thereby resolving the degradation of acceleration feel caused by the shift inertia of the CVT.
