A handlebar switch can include a switch case housing switches, and manipulation members arranged on the switch case and configured to be manipulated by a driver to operate the respective switches. A center portion of the switch caseon which the manipulation members are arranged is formed as an expanded section expanded in radial directions of a main body section beyond a right end portion, and a left an end portion of the main body section. The manipulation members are arranged in a center part of the expanded section.

Handlebar switch

A muffler includes an outer box fitted over and attached to an exhaust pipe. The muffler also has a connecting member of a noncircular cross section fixed to said exhaust pipe and interposed between the exhaust pipe and the outer box.

There is provided a dielectric ceramic composition which is composed mainly of PbTiO.sub.3, Pb(Mg.sub.1/3 Nb.sub.2/3)O.sub.3, and Pb(Fe.sub.2/3 W.sub.1/3)O.sub.3, with 0.5 to 10 mol % of Pb atoms partly replaced by Ba atoms and/or Sr atoms as represented by the formula (I) below.

An exhaust muffler for use with an internal combustion engine has at least one internal suppression chamber, at least one inlet pipe for receiving exhaust gases from the internal combustion engine, and at least one outlet pipe vented to atmosphere. The exhaust muffler comprises a plurailty of component units connected in series with each other and each having the internal suppression chamber. Each of the component units has a casing having an inner layer of a sound-absorbing material which defines the internal suppression chamber, and a connector pipe connected to and extending through the casing, the connector pipe having upstream and downstream ends projecting out of the casing, the connector pipe having at least one opening which opens into the internal suppression chamber. At least one of the component units is constructed to meet: ##EQU1## where V is the volume of the internal suppression chamber, l and S are the effective pipe length of and cross-sectional area of a flow passage in the main exhaust pipe extending from the internal suppression chamber of the at least one of the component units to one of the internal suppression chamber of the next component unit and the end vented to atmosphere, and C is the speed of sound.

Exhaust muffler

Disclosed herein is a ceramic composition of high dielectric constant which comprises the major constituents of PbO, La.sub.2 O.sub.3, MO, ZrO.sub.2, and TiO.sub.2 in the ratio defined by the formula below.

There is provided a dielectric ceramic composition which comprises (Pb,La)(Zr,Ti)O.sub.3 and Pb(Mg.sub.1/3 Nb.sub.2/3)O.sub.3 in the ratio defined by the formula below.

A muffler for an internal combustion engine includes an outer box composed of a plurality of separate bodies made of a formed sound insulation material and having portions joined by an adhesive, the outer box having an inlet for introducing an exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine and an outlet for discharging the exhaust gas, and a reinforcing member mounted on the joined portions to seal and reinforce the same. The muffler is simple in construction, has a good sound insulation capability, is lightweight, and sufficiently mechanically strong.
