Liquid sample injection mechanism for an instrument for elemental analysis

The analyzing apparatus includes a reactor, a detector, a carrier gas supplier, a carrier gas flow rate adjustor, a flow control program memory, and a flow rate controller. The detector communicates with an internal space of the reactor, and detects a target substance generated by reaction of a specific component in the internal space. The carrier gas supplier supplies, to the internal space, carrier gas for transporting the target substance generated in the internal space. The carrier gas flow rate adjustor adjusts a carrier gas flow rate supplied from the carrier gas supplier to the internal space. The flow control program memory stores a flow control program set to increase the carrier gas flow rate during measurement from the process of introduction of a sample into the internal space to the process of detection of the target substance by the detector.

Sample introduction mechanism for total organic carbon meter

An air purifier includes a pump that supplies air to an air purifying unit, a filter arranged at an outlet of the air purifying unit, and pipes and that connect these components. The air purifying unit includes an activated carbon tube constituted by a glass tube filled with granular activated carbon, and a soda lime tube constituted by a glass tube filled with granular soda lime. According to a preferred embodiment, three each of the activated carbon tubes and the soda lime tubes are provided, and the activated carbon tubes and the soda lime tubes are connected alternately in series by tubes so that one activated carbon tube is arranged at a most upstream part and one soda lime tube is arranged at a most downstream part.

An apparatus which comprises: an organic-substance oxidation part in which organic substances contained in a sample water supplied are oxidized into carbon dioxide; a carbon dioxide separation part in which the carbon dioxide contained in the sample water is caused to permeate and come into a measurement water; and a conductivity measurement part in which the conductivity of the measurement water is measured. The carbon dioxide separation part comprises: a sample water channel in which sample water flows; an intermediate water part in which intermediate water having a higher pH value in a neutral region than the sample water is present; and a measurement water channel through which the measurement water comprising deionized water flows. The sample water channel is in contact with the intermediate water part through a gas-permeable membrane, and the intermediate water part is in contact with the measurement water channel through a gas-permeable membrane.

Apparatus for determining total organic carbon

In an analyzer, an oxidation reagent is supplied to an oxidation reaction portion, and after organic materials contained in the oxidation reagent are removed by oxidation decomposition, a sample is provided into the oxidation reaction portion to react with the oxidation reagent. An infrared gas analyzing portion starts detecting a peak for analyzing. Thus, even if a concentration of the component to be measured in the sample is low, the concentration can be measured accurately without being disturbed by a concentration of the impurities in the oxidation reagent.
