An ECU includes a collision determination unit, a condition determination unit, and an output suppression unit. The collision determination unit monitors an acceleration detected by a collision sensor, and determines that a vehicle collision has occurred when the acceleration is greater than a predetermined value. The condition determination unit determines whether or not a vehicular speed absolute value is smaller than a threshold vehicular speed in a determination period lasting from the determination of collision for a predetermined time. The output suppression unit suppresses an output of a vehicle driving force when the vehicular speed absolute value is smaller than the threshold vehicular speed in the determination period.

When a collision of a vehicle is detected, a control device performs fuel cut of an engine () in a case where the engine () is in a driven state, and engages an engine connection/disconnection clutch (K) in a case where the engine connection/disconnection clutch (K) is disengaged, whereby the rotational resistance of a motor (MG) is increased by drag of the engine () and the rotation speed (Nmg) of the motor (MG) after the collision of the vehicle can be speedily reduced. Consequently, generation of an electromotive force by rotation of the motor (MG) is prevented, and it is possible to speedily complete discharge of an inverter circuit ().

An ECU executes a program including the steps of: executing fuel-cut control when an IG OFF operation has been performed and a vehicle is traveling; determining torque command values of a first MG and a second MG when a charge power upper limit value Win is reduced; controlling the first MG based on the determined torque command value of the first MG; and controlling the second MG based on the determined torque command value of the second MG.

In a vehicle with a driving power source (an engine, a motor generator, or a similar component) to output driving power for running to a driving wheel, in a case where a restart is requested on the driving power source in an accelerator-on state after a stop operation is performed on the driving power source (a hybrid system) during running of a vehicle, the driving power corresponding to an accelerator position at the time of restart request is not directly output. Instead, the driving power is output to the driving wheels while being gradually increased. This reduces deterioration of drivability in recovery of the driving power.

An ECU determines whether or not there is an abnormality (shift pattern abnormality) in a combination of shift signals provided from a shift position sensor. After occurrence of the shift pattern abnormality is determined, the ECU determines whether or not a first condition that a shift pattern changes into a normal pattern of a drive range is satisfied, and whether or not a second condition that a vehicle is running (a driver has an intention to cause the vehicle to run) is satisfied. When occurrence of the shift pattern abnormality is determined, the ECU stops generation of driving force of the vehicle and prohibits switching to the drive range. When the above-mentioned first condition and second condition are satisfied after occurrence of the shift pattern abnormality is determined, the ECU switches the shift range to the drive range indicated by the shift pattern and recovers the driving force.

During the deactivation of a driving system of a vehicle, an ECU determines whether or not a P range abnormality occurs which exhibits that a shift signal transmitted from a shift position sensor includes a P signal and an MJ signal corresponding to the P range as well as a different-type signal other than the P signal and the MJ signal. When the P range abnormality occurs, the ECU determines whether or not the vehicle-stopped state can be assured based on whether or not a brake-ON state (a hydraulic braking force or a parking braking force are beyond the range capable of maintaining vehicle-stopped state) is present. In a case where a P range abnormality occurs, when ECU determines that the vehicle-stopped state can be assured, the ECU allows the activation of the driving system.

A vehicle is provided with a differential gear including a sun gear, a carrier, and a ring gear, motor generators coupled to the sun gear, an engine coupled to the carrier, and a wheel coupled to the ring gear. The vehicle includes an ECU that stops the engine upon operation of a start switch by a driver, and a brake that brakes the sun gear upon operation of the start switch while the vehicle is traveling.

An ECU determines whether or not there is an abnormality (shift pattern abnormality) in a combination of shift signals provided from a shift position sensor. An ECU executes a program including the steps of carrying out low-load control when an IG OFF operation is performed, when a vehicle is running, and when stop of an engine is not permitted, carrying out gate cut-off control, ending low-load control and gate cut-off control when a brake pedal has been operated, when a vehicle speed is lower than a threshold value, or when a prescribed time period has elapsed since the IG OFF operation, permitting stop of the engine, and carrying out fuel cut control.

An ECU executes a program including the steps of carrying out fuel cut control when an IG OFF operation is performed and when a vehicle is running, setting a target value Net for an engine rotation speed Ne, carrying out control of a first MG, and ending control of the first MG when a vehicle speed becomes lower than a prescribed vehicle speed.

There is provided a control device for a vehicle that includes: a driving force source; a hydraulic transmission; and an interrupting mechanism that is able to interrupt power transmission from the driving force source to a drive wheel. The control device includes a controller that is configured to, after the driving force source is stopped while the vehicle is travelling, on the condition that a hydraulic pressure applied to the transmission has decreased, execute control for setting a speed ratio of the transmission to a predetermined low speed ratio, such as a high-speed gear in the case where a low-speed gear and the high-speed gear are provided, while the vehicle is travelling.

Power output apparatus for hybrid vehicle

In response to a system-off instruction, the drive system control technique of the invention controls individual motors of an electric cooling water pump and an electric cooling fan to stop (step S), waits for elapse of a preset reference time period since start of the control of stopping the motors (step S), and turns off a relay to disconnect a supply of electric power from a battery to a CPU of a control unit (step S). Inactivation of the relay after elapse of the preset reference time period since start of the control of stopping the motor disconnects the supply of electric power to the control unit in the state of sufficiently low back emf generated by the motors. This arrangement effectively prevents malfunction of the control unit due to the back emf generated by the motors.

Drive system and control method of the same

The technique of the invention sets an upper limit torque Tmmax and a lower limit torque Tmmin output from a motor generator, based on input and output restrictions Win and Wout of a battery, a motor electric power demand Pm, an auxiliary machinery electric power demand Pcsm, and a potential loss Ploss (step S). The technique then restricts a target revolution speed Ne* of an engine to make an output torque of the motor generator within a range of the lower limit torque Tmmin to the upper limit torque Tmmax (steps Sto S). This arrangement ensures output of a torque in response to a driver's requirement, while effectively preventing the battery from being charged or discharged excessively.
