A connector is provided with a connector main body having conductive contacts and a housing holding the conductive contacts. The conductive contacts are exposed from the housing so as to be electrically connectable to a mating connector in a distal end portion of the connector main body and are exposed from the housing so as to be electrically connectable to a substrate in a rear end portion of the connector main body. The housing has positioning portions positioning the connector main body and the substrate relative to each other. The positioning portions are located closer to a center line of the connector main body than the conductive contacts when the connector main body is viewed in plan. The center line extends along a direction from the distal end portion of the connector main body toward the rear end portion.

Connector with exposed conductive contact

A connector includes a connector main body having a plate-shaped conductor, conductive contacts, and a housing holding the plate-shaped conductor and the conductive contacts so as to remain insulated from each other and a metallic casing forming an exterior of a pen-type electronic device and having a through hole configured such that a mating connector is insertable. The conductive contacts form parts of an electric circuit different from the plate-shaped conductor in the pen-type electronic device. An end portion of the plate-shaped conductor is fixed to an inner wall of the casing forming the through hole such that a distal end portion of the connector main body electrically connected to the mating connector is located in the through hole.

For miniaturization in a connector width direction in a configuration in which a shield shell is arranged at a position outside a contact member, a configuration is adopted in which when a ground connection section protrudes outward in the connector width direction from a first shield shell arranged outside the connector width direction of a first contact member in a first connector, an inner end surface of the ground connection section at the time of fitting between both the connectors is arranged within a range of a plate width of a second shield shell, to arrange the first shield shell inside the connector width direction of the ground connection section and arrange a second shield shell arranged outside the connector width direction of the first shield shell more inside the connector than a conventional example at the time of fitting both the connectors.

Electrical connector device

A receptacle connector includes a receptacle housing including a housing portion and receptacle terminals connected to plug terminals. The housing portion includes a first principal inner wall face, a second principal inner wall face, and a first-end inner wall face. At least a part of the first-end inner wall face is first receptacle guide faces having a gap width in a Y-axis direction gradually decreasing. The first receptacle guide face guides a plug connector such that the direction of an axial line of the plug connector is lined up in the direction of an axial line of the housing portion by regulating movement of the plug connector.

Electric connector and connector device

A connector device includes a first connector and a second connector. A first regulating member attached to the first insulating housing of the first connector and a second regulating member attached to the second insulating housing of the second connector include projecting portions, respectively. A first projecting portion of either one of the first and second regulating members provides a second projecting portion of the other regulating member with a first elastic force acting in a first direction in which the first and second insulating housings separate from each other. Additionally, the first projecting portion provides the second projecting portion with a second elastic force acting in a second direction in which the first and second insulating housings move toward each other. The regulating members also form latch members that act to separate the connectors towards a placed or initial state (e.g., FIGS.A,B) until a latching or retention position is reached in order to prevent the conductive terminals from engagement with the connectors in a half-fitted state (e.g., FIGS.A,B).

Connector device

A smooth mating operation is enabled by a simple configuration in a state in which electric connectors are easily and reliably positioned. A plug-side mating guide member made of metal projecting to an outer side from a wiring substrate is provided with guide surfaces, which contact part of a counterpart connector and slide so as to carry out positioning of a mating operation. Apart from which the plug-side mating guide member projects from the wiring substrate is directly or indirectly checked visually. As a result, the mating operation can be carried out while approximating the mutual mating positional relation of both of the electric connectors, and the mating positional relation is regulated to a predetermined state by guiding actions of the guide surfaces of the plug-side mating guide member so that the mutual mating operation of the electric connectors is easily and precisely carried out.

Substrate-connecting electric connector and substrate-connecting electric connector device

An electrical coaxial connector comprising a signal-joining contacting conductor and a grounding contacting conductor each supported by an insulating base member, wherein a body portion of the signal-joining contacting conductor has a press-contacting part with a contacting protrusion for contacting with a signal-joining conductor in a mating connector and a first base part in such a manner that a measure of thickness of the press-contacting part including the contacting protrusion is not more than the maximum measure of thickness of the first base part, and an annular portion of the grounding contacting conductor has an engaging part with an engaging protrusion for engaging with a grounding conductor in the mating connector and a second base part in such a manner that a measure of thickness of the engaging part including the engaging protrusion is not more than to the maximum measure of thickness of the second base part.

Electrical coaxial connector

An electrical coaxial connector comprising a signal-joining contacting conductor having a body portion to be connected with a signal joining conductor of a mating coaxial connector, a grounding contacting conductor having an annular portion placed around the body portion of the signal joining contacting conductor to be connected with a grounding conductor of the mating coaxial connector, and an insulating base member for supporting the signal-joining contacting conductor and the grounding contacting conductor to be isolated from each other, wherein the body portion of the signal-joining contacting conductor is formed into a cylindrical shape with a slit extending to surround an imaginary central axis of the cylindrical shape of the body portion and provided with a base part and an engaging part opposite to each other with the slit between and connected with each other by a connecting part of the body portion at which the slit is not formed.

With a simple configuration, plastic deformation of contacts can be prevented while avoiding increase in size, and occurrence of failure in electrical connection due to dust can be well prevented. In an elastic beam-like member of a first-side contact extending like a cantilever in an insulating housing, a bent extending part which substantially increases the span length of the elastic beam-like member is formed to be bent to have a curved shape at a root part serving as a part coupled to a fixing base part. A through hole is formed in a region including at least part of the bent extending part to ensure flexibility while enhancing elasticity of the contact, thereby preventing permanent deformation of the contact. Meanwhile, dust which has entered the equipment is caused to fall through the through hole, thereby ensuring electrical conductivity well.

Switch-equipped coaxial connector

A circuit-terminal connecting device comprising a first connector having a first housing fixed to a main circuit board and first contacts supported by the first housing to be connected with first circuit-terminals provided on the main circuit board and a second connector having a second housing attached to a flat circuit member and second contacts supported by the second housing to be connected with second circuit-terminals provided on the flat circuit member. The first housing of the first connector fits into a hole formed in the second housing of the second connector so as to create an electrical piling connection between the main circuit board and the flat circuit member wherein the flat circuit member is laid on top of the main circuit board and the first circuit-terminals are electrically connected with the second circuit-terminals through the first and second connectors.

Circuit-terminal connecting device

An electrical connector in which a single connector is directly mated with a coupling projection part provided in a product chassis constituting an electronic device; contact parts of electrically-conductive contacts are brought into contact with both contact parts of a wiring pattern exposed from upper and lower both surfaces of the coupling projection part; electrical connection of the signal transmission medium is established with a simple configuration without intermediation of a conventionally-used circuit board or an electrical connector serving as a mating counterpart mounted on the circuit board; pressing force of the electrically-conductive contacts is cancelled out and approximately uniformly applied without unevenness; the protruding distance of the mating structure of the electrical connector is reduced to reduce the thickness thereof; and reversed mating is enabled to increase degree of freedom in the extending direction of a terminal part of the signal transmission medium.

Electrical connector and electrical connector assembly

Instability of an electric connection state due to solder-wicking from a board connecting part of an electrically-conductive shell can be prevented with a simple configuration. A recessed part recessed toward a fixed contact and a movable contact is provided in the board connecting part of the electrically-conductive shell attached to an insulating housing. An excessive amount of a solder material or flux that is used at the board connecting part of the electrically-conductive shell and tries to rise along the wall surfaces of the board connecting part or the electrically-conductive shell is stored in the recessed part. The acting force of the rise is reduced by a reverse-tapered inclined surface constituting a wall surface of the recessed part. Furthermore, the length of the rise of the solder material and flux is extended by a curved wall surface of the recessed part. Thus, so-called solder-wicking is configured to be prevented well.

Electric connector

[Problem] To extremely simplify the configuration of an electrical connector by omitting a circuit board and an electrical connector, etc. of a mating counterpart. [Solution] A single plug connectoris directly mated with a wall part of a product chassis MF. In a mated state of the single plug connector, a contact part of a contactis brought into contact with a contact part of a wiring pattern CP exposed from an inner-peripheral wall part of a mating hole MFa. Therefore, electrical connection of a signal transmission medium can be established by a simple configuration without the intermediation of a conventionally-used circuit board and an electrical connector serving as a mating counterpart mounted on the circuit board.

A configuration in which a stand-alone plug connector is directly fitted to the wall of a product case, and in the fitting state of the stand-alone plug connector, the contact part of a contact comes in contact with the contact part of a wiring pattern conductive path exposed on the surface of a fit connecting hole, and the electrical connection of a signal transmitting medium can be performed in a simple configuration.
