A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for batteries that includes a base material, a vapor-deposition insulating film provided on one surface side of the base material, and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer provided on a surface side of the vapor-deposition insulating film opposite to the base material.

Battery and method of manufacturing battery

A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for batteries that includes a base material and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer provided on one surface side of the base material and containing inorganic fine particles. When D50 and D90 are defined as a volume-based accumulated 50% particle diameter of the inorganic fine particles and a volume-based accumulated 90% particle diameter of the inorganic fine particles, respectively, in a particle size distribution of the inorganic fine particles in the pressure sensitive adhesive layer, the D50 is 0.5 &#x3bc;m or more and 2.8 &#x3bc;m or less, and the ratio of the D90 to the D50 (D90/D50) is 1.3 or more and 2.0 or less. The particle size distribution is measured by image analysis on a surface of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer opposite to the base material.

[Problems] An object is to provide a pressure sensitive adhesive composition, a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for batteries, and a lithium-ion battery in which good adhesive strength is exhibited to an adherend and the pressure sensitive adhesive is less likely to dissolve into an electrolyte solution even when the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is in contact with the electrolyte solution. [Solution] A battery () comprising a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet (), wherein: the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is used at a site in the battery at which there is a possibility of contact with an electrolyte solution; the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet comprises a base material () and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer () laminated at one side of the base material; and the pressure sensitive adhesive layer is formed of a pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising: a (meth)acrylic ester polymer containing a (meth)acrylic alkyl ester and a monomer as monomer units that constitute the polymer, the (meth)acrylic alkyl ester having a carbon number of an alkyl group of 6 or more and 20 or less, the monomer having a carboxy group in a molecule.

Pressure sensitive adhesive composition, pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for batteries, and lithium-ion battery

[Problems] An object is to provide a pressure sensitive adhesive composition, a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for batteries, and a lithium-ion battery in which the pressure sensitive adhesive is less likely to dissolve into an electrolyte solution even when the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is in contact with the electrolyte solution. [Solution] A battery () comprising a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet (), wherein: the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is used at a site in the battery at which there is a possibility of contact with an electrolyte solution; the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet comprises a base material () and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer () laminated at one side of the base material; and the pressure sensitive adhesive layer is formed of a pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising: a (meth)acrylic ester polymer containing a monomer having a carboxy group in a molecule as a monomer unit that constitutes the polymer; and a metal chelate-based crosslinker.

A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is provided which comprises a base material having insulation properties, an inorganic filler-containing resin layer provided at least at one side of the base material and containing an insulating inorganic filler, and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer provided as an outermost layer of at least one surface. According to such a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet, insulation properties can be ensured even when the base material undergoes carbonization and/or combustion/decomposition due to high temperatures and insulation breakdown occurs in the base material.

Pressure sensitive adhesive sheet

A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for use for a battery is provided. The pressure sensitive adhesive sheet comprises a base material, a hard coat layer provided at one side of the base material, and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer provided at a side of the hard coat layer opposite to the base material. The pressure sensitive adhesive sheet can well maintain the adhesive strength to suppress delamination from an adherend even in case of contact with an electrolyte solution.

[Problems] Objects include providing a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for batteries that is excellent in the insulation properties even after heated to high temperatures and also excellent in the insulation properties even when immersed in an electrolyte solution for a long time and then heated to high temperatures and also providing a lithium-ion battery in which the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for batteries is used. [Solution] A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for batteries (), comprising: a base material (); a hard coat layer () provided at one side of the base material (); and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer () provided at a side of the hard coat layer () opposite to the base material (), the hard coat layer () being formed of a composition for hard coat layer that contains a metal oxide sol, the metal oxide sol being a sol of a metal oxide that has insulation properties.
