A power supply control device for a vehicle controls power supply to a first load. A first controller is formed on a first substrate and controls power supply to the first load. A second controller is formed on a second substrate that is different from the first substrate, and instructs the first controller to perform an operation regarding power supply. The first controller and the second controller include a first switch and a circuit switch, respectively. The first switch and the circuit switch are provided on a current path of a current flowing via the first load. The second controller provides an instruction to switch the first switch on or off.

In a power-supply control device, power supply to loads is controlled by driving circuits separately switching on or off FETs, respectively. In a state in which the connection destination of a fuse element is the FET, a microcomputer provides an instruction to switch the FET off. Then, the microcomputer determines whether or not a current is flowing through the FET. Upon determining that a current is flowing through the FET, the microcomputer switches the connection destination of the fuse element to the FETs, and provides an instruction to switch the FET on.

A control device includes a first series circuit and a second series circuit. In the first series circuit, a first switch and a first resistor are connected in series to each other. In the second series circuit, a second switch and a second resistor are connected in series to each other. A current detection circuit outputs a voltage value that corresponds to a voltage value between two ends of the first resistor. When an instruction to turn on the first switch and the second switch has been given, a control unit senses any occurrence of a failure in at least one of the first switch, the second switch, the first resistor, and the second resistor, based on the voltage value output by the current detection circuit.

Connector device

Provided is a control device that stops the power supply when the first FET is short-circuited. In the control device, a boost circuit increases the voltage of one end of a resistor on the boost circuit side to a predetermined voltage that is higher than the source voltage of the first FET. An AND circuit instructs the discharge circuit to decrease the voltage at the other end of the resistor when the voltage at the other end of the resistor is less than a threshold voltage if the AND circuit instructs the boost circuit to increase the voltage at the one end of the resistor on the boost circuit side. The threshold voltage exceeds the voltage at the one end of the resistor if the voltage at the one end of the resistor on the boost circuit is the predetermined voltage and if the first FET is short-circuited.

Control device

Plural optical communication apparatuses are connected through communication lines with a star topology to an optical coupler that is arranged at the center of star topology and can distribute input light. Each optical communication apparatus makes an optically transmitting unit input an optical signal into an optically inputting unit of the optical coupler, and makes an optically receiving unit receive an optical signal output from an optically outputting unit of the optical coupler, for detecting a collision based on the reception signal. After transmitting an optical signal from the optically transmitting unit, each of optical communication apparatuses makes the optically receiving unit receive the optical signal, performs the collision detection based on the comparison between the transmission signal and the reception signal. When having detected the collision, each of optical communication apparatuses stops own processing for transmitting the optical signal and performs processing for receiving optical signals.
