To provide a motor control device capable of determining a rotor position with high accuracy not only in normal control but also in flux-weakening control. The motor control device includes: a first rotor position determining unitthat determines a rotor position of a synchronous motor by using a rotor position calculation formula with, as parameters, current electrical angle or induced voltage electrical angle, and first current phase or first induced voltage phase obtained based on current peak value and [(induced voltage electrical angle)&#x2212;(current electrical angle)]; a second rotor position determining unitthat determines a rotor position of the synchronous motor by using a rotor position calculation formula with, as parameters, current electrical angle or induced voltage electrical angle, and second current phase or second induced voltage phase obtained based on current peak value and flux linkage of a rotor of the synchronous motor; and a selecting unitthat selects the first or second rotor position determining unit

Motor control device

A motor control device capable of executing a start mode that takes into consideration both the start performance with respect to a residual load and the life of a drive circuit is provided. A motor control device for executing a start mode in which a rotor is rotated by forced commutation control: stores a current value at the time when a stop command to a synchronous motor is issued; and decides, when a start command to the synchronous motor is issued after the issuance of the stop command, a target current value based on the stored current value in the start mode in response to the start command.

A phase voltage setting unit is configured to define an actual current phase region including a current phase error range based on parameters to which is added an individual difference of at least any one of a motor and an inverter. The phase voltage setting unit defines a stable operation current phase region in which a rotor position can be detected through sensorless control, and sets, as a target current, an electric current obtained by adding a phase difference corresponding to the number of revolutions detected by the revolution number detecting unit to an electric current set by current vector control, such that the actual current phase region is within the stable operation current phase region.
