A rotating electrical machine includes a plurality of core pieces forming a stator core. Each of the core pieces includes contact surfaces on one side end and another side end in a peripheral direction, a tapered protrusion on the contact surface of the one side end, the protrusion including first inclined surfaces outside and inside, and a recess on the contact surface of the other side end, the recess including second inclined surfaces contacting the first inclined surfaces outside and inside to receive the protrusion of adjacent core piece. A cross-sectional shape of the protrusion is a shape such that, inside a circle centered on a first end portion with a distance being a radius between a second end portion located on an opposite side of the first end portion and the first end portion, at least a part of the first inclined surfaces contact the second inclined surfaces.

An actuator in accordance with an embodiment includes at least one linear motor, a partition member and a fan. The linear motor is configured to linearly move a shaft serving as a movable member. The partition member is provided close to the shaft and configured to partition a space defined between the shaft and a control board for controlling the linear motor. Further, the fan is arranged on the side of the shaft with respect to the partition member and configured to flow an air existing in a partitioned space on the side of the shaft.

A permanent magnet synchronous rotating electric machine includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor includes a first hole, a second hole, a first magnet, and a second magnet. The first magnet is provided in the first hole and extends along a first longitudinal axis inclined at a first acute angle with respect to the center line. A robot for carrying a substrate in which minimum turning radius is small when the arm is retracted although a plurality of forks are provided and installation area can be minimized. The robot comprises a fixed base, a first turnable arm linked with the fixed base, a second turnable arm linked with the first arm, and a turnable fork linked with the second arm, wherein the fork comprises a plurality of first and second independent forks. XY table

A heat-treatment apparatus comprises a heat-treatment section for subjecting a heat-treatment to a wafer and a loading section for loading a wafer boat into and unloading it from the heat-treatment section. The loading section is connected to the heat-treatment section and includes in it a movable support member, a drive mechanism and a vertical base board as well as a load-lock chamber for maintaining the inside in vacuum. The movable support member supports a wafer boat. The movable support member is attached to a vertical base board so that it can move up and down. The drive mechanism is attached on the major surface of the vertical base board opposite to the surface facing the wafer boat. The drive mechanism drives the movable support to move up and down. The heat-treatment apparatus further comprises a wafer transfer section that includes an orientation flat alignment mechanism and a buffer stage disposed near the orientation flat alignment mechanism. The wafer transfer section includes a wafer cassette means, a buffer stage and a wafer transfer robot for transferring wafers between the orientation flat alignment mechanism and the wafer boat.
