A crawler-propelled truck includes a chassis frame assembly, an engine mounted on the chassis frame assembly and having a substantially vertical crankshaft, a gear transmission case having an upper portion coupled to the engine and housing a gear transmission operatively coupled to the engine, drive wheels supported on a lower portion of the gear transmission case and rotatable by the engine through the gear transmission, driven wheels rotatably supported on the chassis frame assembly forwardly of the drive wheels, crawlers trained around the drive and driven wheels, and a load carrying table mounted on the chassis frame assembly above the crawlers.

An auger in a self-propelled snow removing machine including a running mechanism drivable by an engine, and a snow blower for discharging snow collected by the auger, comprises an auger cover disposed on a front portion of the snow removing machine, an auger output shaft disposed transversely in the auger cover and drivable by the engine, and at least one blade mounted on the auger output shaft and having an outer peripheral edge forming a substantially continuous helix around the auger output shaft. The blade comprises a plurality of mutually separate fins having outer peripheral edges jointly forming the helix and made of a resilient steel material.

A self-propelling snow removing machine includes a body frame extending rearwardly and upwardly with a steering handle attached to an upper end thereof, a snow removing mechanism operatively mounted on a front portion of the body frame, a running mechanism operatively mounted on a lower portion of the body frame, an engine mounted on the body frame and having an output shaft extending forwardly of the body frame, and a power transmitting mechansim supported on the body frame and operatively coupled to the engine, the power transmitting mechanism including a transmission for connecting the engine output shaft to the running mechanism and for connecting the engine output shaft to the snow removing mechanism. The engine has a cylinder with its axis inclined laterally of the body frame, the power transmitting mechanism is mounted on the body frame forwardly of the engine, and further includes a gear mechanism for coupling the engine output shaft to the transmission and a clutch. A self-propelled snow removing machine includes a body frame, a snow removing mechansim operatively mounted on a front portion of the body frame, a running mechanism operatively mounted on a lower portion of the body frame, an engine mounted on the body frame, and a power transmitting mechanism supported on the body frame and operatively coupled to the engine, the power transmitting mechanism including a transmission for connecting the engine to the running mechanism and for connecting the engine to the snow removing mechanism. The power transmitting mechanism has a gear mechanism for coupling the engine to the transmission and a clutch. The power transmitting mechanism includes a transmission case housing the transmission therein and a clutch housing the clutch, the snow removing mechanism including implement covers attached to a front portion of the transmission case, while the transmission case, the clutch housing, and the implement covers are successively coupled together.

The power grass mower (1; 100; 200) further comprises a handle position setting mechanism (39) for interconnecting a lower end part (14c) of the handle member (14) with the mower body (2), such that the handle member (14) is selectively turningly movable in the plan view thereof, relative to the mower body (2), substantially about the lower end part (14c) thereof, and for locking to set the handle member (14) at a voluntarily selected turning position thereof.

Power grass mower

There is disclosed a power lawn mower which comprises a carriage having a top deck and side walls, a pair of front wheels, a pair of rear wheels having corresponding wheel axle shafts, a cutting mechanism having a rotary cutting element, a prime mover mounted on the top deck of the carriage and having an output shaft drivingly connected to the cutting element to rotate the same, and a rear wheel drive mechanism for transmitting driving power of the prime mover to the rear wheels and including at least one drive shaft. In this arrangement, the carriage includes front and rear openings. The front wheels are independently supported on the front portion of the carriage and the rear wheels are independently supported on the rear portion of the carriage. Further, front and rear guard members are swingably mounted to the lower surface of front and rear portions of the top deck, respectively.

Power lawn mower

An interlinking control device in a tractor-mounted working machine having an engine with a governor, a braking mechanism for braking wheels, and a clutch operatively coupled between the engine and the wheels. The braking mechanism and the clutch are operated respectively by first and second control systems, which have ends coupled to a single human-operated swingable member. The clutch starts being disengaged when the swingable member starts swinging and is completely disengaged when the swingable member is positioned intermediately on a path of swingng movement thereof. The braking mechanism produces a maximum braking force when the swingable member reaches a terminal end of the path of swinging movement thereof.

A control device in a motor vehicle having a clutch and a transmission for controlling operation of the clutch and the transmission, includes a control lever angularly movable in first and second directions perpendicular to each other, a first connector mechanism interconnecting the control lever and the transmission for enabling the transmission to shift gears therein in response to angular movement of the control lever in the first direction, a follower having a portion extending in the first direction, the follower being angularly movable in the second direction, the portion being normally held in contact with the control lever when the control lever is angularly moved in the first and second directions, a second connector mechanism interconnecting the follower and the clutch for enabling the clutch to be engaged and disengaged in response to angular movement of the follower in the second direction, and a member for allowing the control lever to be angularly moved in the first direction only when the control lever is angularly moved to cause the second connector mechanism to disengage the clutch.

An internal combustion engine is provided which comprises an outside member including a cylinder block section and a crankcase half section which are both casted into a single body, the crankcase having an opening formed therein which has an opening edge arranged in an inclined relationship to the center axis of a cylinder and also to the center axis of a crankshaft, and a crankcase half having a corresponding opening edge thereon for covering the opening of the crankcase half section. The inclined opening of the crankcase half section facilitates working of the inside of the crankcase half section and the cylinder block section and assembling of internal parts within the outside member.

A lawn mowing machine of a self-driving type having a rotating and stopping device for a lawn cutting blade and a driving and stopping device for the machine body, in which a gripping lever for on-and-off operations of the rotating and stopping device for the cutting blade is operable independently of a gripping lever for on-and-off operations of the driving and stopping device for the machine body, while the latter-mentioned lever, when it is gripped, is engaged with the former-mentioned lever to move it in an operative direction, thereby maintaining it in an operative state.

Apparatus for attaching a fuel tank in an internal combustion engine, the apparatus comprising a wave-like seat plate including an assembly with alternately curved concavities and convexities therein, applied with said concavities to a lower surface of a bottom plate of the fuel tank so as to form adiabatic spaces above the concavities, and between the seat plate and the bottom plate, the assembly being secured with the seat plate to an upper surface of the engine body. Optionally, this body may have plural projecting fins, forming air passages into which cooling air may be led, for example from a fan.
