A cable stopper structure and an image forming apparatus includes a cable disposed throughout a first passage and a second passage, the second passage having a ceiling height higher than a ceiling height of the first passage, a first component disposed in the first passage and connected to one end portion of the cable, and a second component disposed near an exit of the first passage and connected to the other end portion of the cable, the second component being removable in a direction away from the first component. The cable includes a folded-back portion folded back in the second passage and a rigid portion disposed between the folded-back portion and the first component. The rigid portion has a rigidity greater than that of the cable and has a length in a pulling-out direction of the cable longer than the ceiling height of the first passage.

Cable stopper structure and image forming apparatus

A printer includes a reverse bending member that bends a paper toward an opposite side to a curl of the paper, and a bifurcated member to correct the curl of the paper with the reverse bending member. The reverse bending member is disposed between a paper drawing position and a paper feeding roller. The bifurcated member is swingably arranged about a shaft extending in a width direction of the paper. The bifurcated member includes an upstream arm and a downstream arm. The upstream arm has a tip positioned between the rolled paper and the reverse bending member, and moves toward or from the reverse bending member. The downstream arm has a tip positioned between the reverse bending member and the feeding roller to be in contact with the paper, and rotates in accordance with a tension level of the paper to press the upstream arm toward the reverse bending member.

A printer includes a case including an input port for rolled paper, a cover provided to be rotatable between a closed position of the input port and an open position of the input port, a holding portion that holds the rolled paper, a biasing member that biases the holding portion in a first direction, a stopper mechanism that stops rotation of the holding portion in the first direction, and a linkage mechanism that rotates the holding portion in conjunction with the rotation of the cover. When the cover is in the closed position, the holding portion rotates in the first direction in accordance with an outer diameter of the rolled paper by a biasing force of the biasing member. When the cover rotates from the closed position to the open position, the holding portion rotates together with the cover against the biasing force of the biasing member.

An ink-jet head comprises: an insulating base (10); a plurality of juxtaposed multilayer piezoelectric elements (20) each formed by alternately stacking conductive members and piezoelectric plates polarized in the direction of the thickness and having a lowermost layer (25) and an uppermost layer (26) which are nondriven layers which are not distorted even when voltage is applied thereto; an elastically bendable oscillation plate (30); and a flow passage plate (40) provided with a plurality of ink outlets(43) at the front end thereof, and a plurality of juxtaposed ink chambers (41) connected to the ink outlets (43). The lowermost layers (25) of the multilayer piezoelectric elements (20) are bonded to the upper surface of the base (10), and the oscillation plate (30) is bonded to the uppermost layers (26) of the multilayer piezoelectric elements (20). The flow passage plate (40) is bonded to the upper surface of the oscillation plate (30) with the ink chambers (41) arranged in the direction of distortion of the multilayer piezoelectric elements (20). A front member (50) is bonded to the front end surfaces of the multilayer piezoelectric elements (20) and a front end portion of the oscillation plate (30).

Ink-jet head manufacturing method

An ink cartridge for the ink jet printer has a cartridge housing having a storeroom and an adjustment room therein separated by a bulkhead. The bulkhead extends vertically at the center of the cartridge housing, and has a lower part thereof with a connection opening extending therethrough. The connection opening communicates the storeroom with the adjustment room. The storeroom is airtight except for the connection opening. The adjustment room has an upper part with an air hole communicating the adjustment room with the atmosphere and a lowest part with a feed pocket for feeding ink to a printing head. Fiber-like materials impregnated with ink are filled inside the adjustment room, these materials having a part thereof that extend to the bottom of the storeroom through the connection opening. The fiber-like materials comprise a plurality of felt blocks that have different fiber densities, the felt blocks being arranged so that the closer the felt blocks are to the feed pocket, the greater the fiber density of the felt blocks.

A print head is provided with armatures, each having a stylus section and a plunger in an opposite position, the armatures each having the middle section that serves as a fulcrum for rotation. A plurality of first flat springs act on the armatures to that the armatures are biased in direction bias the armatures in a direction returning the armatures against the bias forces by the first flat springs.
