A magnetic transfer master disk including a magnetic layer and exhibiting excellent shape stability of a protrusion/recess pattern is provided. An initial layer formed of a conductive film is formed on a surface of a master on which a pattern of minute protrusions/recesses is formed, and then a magnetic layer (principal layer) is formed on the initial layer, and then, a metal layer is formed by electroforming. A duplicate in which the initial layer, the magnetic layer and the metal layer have been integrated is peeled off from the master, thereby obtaining a magnetic transfer master disk, which is a duplicate in which the magnetic layer and the initial layer are deposited on the protruded/recessed surface of the metal layer.

Magnetic transfer master disk and method for manufacturing the same

In a radiation-image conversion panel, a fluorescent layer containing a phosphor and a protective layer are formed on a support in this order. The protective layer has a water-vapor transmission rate of 1 g/m/24 h or lower at 40&#xb0; C. and a reflectance of 3% or lower at a wavelength of light emitted from the phosphor. In addition, the protective layer may be obtained by attaching a removable film to a thin transparent film so as to produce a laminated film, forming a vapor-barrier layer on an exposed surface of the thin transparent film by vacuum deposition so as to produce a moisture-resistant film, placing the moisture-resistant film on the fluorescent layer, and removing the removable film from the moisture-resistant film.

Radiation-image conversion panel and process of producing the same

A first radiation image storage panel comprises a stimulable phosphor layer, and a transparent protective film, which comprises at least one layer of a water vapor proof film, the water vapor proof film comprising a base material film and a transparent inorganic layer overlaid on the base material film. The transparent protective film is located such that the transparent inorganic layer of the water vapor proof film stands facing the stimulable phosphor layer, and the stimulable phosphor layer is sealed. In a second radiation image storage panel, a protective layer comprises a fundamental inorganic layer and at least one layer of a high-order inorganic layer, which is located on the fundamental inorganic layer, and each high-order inorganic layer is overlaid directly upon an inorganic layer, which is located under each high-order inorganic layer.

A radiation image storage panel comprises a substrate, a stimulable phosphor layer, which is constituted of a stimulable phosphor, and a transparent water vapor proof film, which is constituted of a water vapor proof layer and a transparent thin film. The substrate, the stimulable phosphor layer, and the transparent water vapor proof film are overlaid in this order. The transparent water vapor proof film is overlaid via an adhesive layer on the stimulable phosphor layer. The transparent thin film has a thickness falling within the range of 1 &#x3bc;m to 10 &#x3bc;m. The radiation image storage panel has good water vapor proof characteristics and is capable of yielding an image of good image quality with a high sensitivity.
