A beam current sensor is composed of a cylindrical super-conductive body having a bridge unit formed on the outer diameter side wherein a beam passes through the inner diameter side. The sensor improves efficiency of creating a magnetic field from a current and can measure a beam current as 1 nA. The bridge unit includes a first coil unit formed so as to have an eddy shape wound counterclockwise from the outer diameter side toward the inner diameter side; a second coil unit formed so as to have an eddy shape wound clockwise from the outer diameter side toward the inner diameter side; and a connection portion for connecting the center position of the inner diameter side of the first coil unit with the center position of the inner diameter side of the second coil.

Beam current sensor

A measuring device includes a magnetic shielding part for shielding an outer magnetic field, and a plurality of magnetic field sensors which are arranged in a shielding space which is formed by the magnetic shielding part, wherein the magnetic field sensor includes a plurality of magnetic field collection mechanisms which collect magnetic fields which the beam current to be measured generates, and the magnetic field collection mechanism is a cylindrical structural body which has at least a surface thereof formed of a superconductive body and includes a bridge portion which has only a portion thereof formed of a superconductive body on an outer peripheral portion thereof, and a magnetic field which the beam current to be measured generates is measured by the magnetic field sensors. Due to the arrangement of the plurality of magnetic field sensors, a beam position and a beam current can be detected.

Beam measuring equipment and beam measuring method using the same

It is possible to simplify the cooling mechanism of a superconductor, significantly reduce the cost, simplify the measurement work, and reduce the time required for measurement. A beam current meter includes: a cylindrical super conductor beam current sensor arranged in a vacuum vessel in such a manner that the beam incoming into the vacuum vessel is guided to pass through a bore of the vacuum vessel and a bridge portion is formed at the outer diameter, a SQUID arranged at the bridge portion of the beam current sensor; a cylindrical superconductor magnetic shield arranged so as to surround the external diameter side of the beam current sensor in such a manner that the SQUID is positioned between the beam current sensor and the magnetic shield, so that a beam is guided to pass through the bore of the beam current sensor, thereby measuring the beam the beam current of the beam. The beam current meter uses a freezing device as cooling means for cooling the beam current sensor, the SQUID, and the magnetic shield.

Implosion-proof mesh tape is constructed by covering the surface of a mesh-like fabric matrix with a hot-melt adhesive and then coating it with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is thereby possible to obtain a cathode-ray tube with an implosion-proof structure wherein the surfaces of the fiber matrix directly contact with both a metal clamping band and the glass panel.

A device for correcting a landing position of an electron beam in a color cathode ray tube has a funnel temperature sensor, an ambient temperature sensor, a landing correction coil disposed on or around a corner of the outer surface of the color cathode ray tube, and a processor and controller for calculating a first temperature difference between the temperature of the funnel and the ambient temperature and a second temperature difference between a predetermined design temperature and the ambient temperature, and calculating a current value for the landing correction coil according to the first and second temperature differences to supply a current of the obtained current value to the landing correction coil.

Device and method for correcting landing position in color cathode ray tube

A color CRT device having a cathode ray tube and a deflection coil. The cathode ray tube includes a panel provided with a phosphor surface which has a diagonal diameter of 45 cm or more and has an aspect ratio greater than 4/3 and an electron gun having a high-voltage electrode and a focusing electrode which is disposed in proximity to the high-voltage electrode across a gap. The deflection yoke includes a core which cross-section perpendicular to a tube axis of the cathode ray tube is approximately annular; a saddle type first deflection coil for deflecting in a horizontal direction an electron beam, and a toroidal type second deflection coil for deflecting in a vertical direction the electron beam. Superconducting magnet and regenerative refrigerator can be reduced in size of the apparatus and is capable of reducing the evaporating amount of liquid helium. A coil portion second thermal shield 17a and a coil portion thermal shield 8a are disposed so as to enclose a coil portion helium tank 2a which contains superconducting coil 1. Further, a helium portion second thermal shield 17b and a helium reservoir portion thermal shield 8b are disposed so as to enclose a helium reservoir tank 2b which stores liquid helium 3. A coil portion second thermal shield 17a and a coil portion thermal shield 8a are cooled by a coil portion 2-stage type Gifford-McMahon cycle refrigerator 50a while a helium portion second thermal shield 17b and a helium reservoir portion thermal shield 8b are cooled by a helium reservoir portion 2-stage type Gifford-McMahon cycle refrigerator 50b.

Superconducting magnet and regenerative refrigerator for the magnet

A superconducting deflection electromagnet apparatus for deflecting an electron beam includes a liquid helium reservoir 21 disposed outside of the magnetic shield 11 surrounding the cryostat 4 accommodating the upper and lower liquid helium containers 2 in which coil assemblies 1, 31, 32 are disposed. Preferably, the upper and lower liquid helium containers 2 are supported from the cryostat 4 by means of the thermally insulating support members 5, 6 and 8 whose positions are adjustable by means of the threaded projections 5a, 6a and 8a and the nuts 52, 53, 62, 63, 82, 83 engaging therewith. The nuts secure the respective thermally insulating support members to the cap-shaped fixing members 44, 47, 49 attached to the extensions 43, 45, 49 of the cryostat 4.

An adhesive tape for preventing implosion of a CRT is provided. The tape includes a backing, a pressure sensitive adhesive layer on one side of the backing and a hot melt adhesive layer on the opposite side of the backing. The backing is a union cloth of natural or synthetic fiber yarns as the warps and glass filament yarns as at least part of the wefts.

In the coil, a plurality of coil units in each of which two coil end portions 3c are bent such that they oppose each other are laid on top of one another, and the individual coil units are electrically connected to each other. Alternatively, two-layer coil units in each of which the two ends of the conducting wire are located on the outer side of the outer diameter portion of the coil unit are laid on top of one another, so that all the connecting portions of the conducting wires between the individual two-layer coil units can be located on the outer side of the outer diameter portions. Alternatively, the connecting portions of the conducting wires between the individual coil units are extending such that they are separated from the coil unit.

A coil for use in a deflecting electromagnet in which two coil end portions are bent as well as a method of manufacturing the same. In the coil, a plurality of coil units 4 in each of which two coil end portions 3c are bent such that they oppose each other are laid on top of another, and the individual coil units are electrically connected to each other. Alternatively, two-layer coil units in each of which the two ends of the conducting wire are located on the outer side of the outer diameter portion of the coil unit are laid on top of another, so that all the connecting portions of the conducting wires between the individual two-layer coil units can be located on the outer side of the outer diameter portions. Alternatively, the connecting portions of the conducting wires between the individual coil units are extended such that they are separated from the coil unit.

A circuit for removing electrostatic charges from the surface of a cathode ray tube is formed by adding electrically conductive particles to an adhesive used to prevent an implosion of the tube and located between a metal clamping band and the surface of the tube. The electrically conductive particles have a particular particle size distribution and are dispersed in a particular amount.

A deflection yoke assembly for use on a cathode ray tube including an evacuated envelope, a coil separator mounted exteriorly on the evacuated envelope at a location corresponding to the boundary betweeen the funnel section and the neck section and having a generally conical portion, a radially outwardly flanged front end portion at one end of the conical portion and a radially outwardly flanged rear end portion at the opposite end of the conical portion, a pair of horizontal deflection coils and a pair of vertical deflection coils both wound on the coil separator. The deflection yoke assembly comprises a vertical deflection distortion correcting unit including two electromagnetic coil devices mounted on at least said radially outwardly flanged front end portion of the coil separator in alignment with a vertical axis of the evacuated envelope while spaced 180.degree. circumferentially about the longitudinal axis of the envelope. The electromagnetic devices are adapted to generate magnetic fluxes in a direction substantially perpendicular to the vertical axis when electrically energized in synchronism with the cycle of vertical deflection, exercised by the vertical deflection coils, for minimizing raster distortions.

A color cathode ray tube which includes an evacuated envelope having a phosphor deposited screen and an electron gun assembly positioned in opposition to the phosphor deposited screen and operable to emit electron beams towards the phosphor deposited screen, and an apertured shadow mask disposed inside the envelope in the vicinity of and generally parallel to the phosphor deposited screen and spaced a predetermined distance from the phosphor deposited screen. The pitch between each of the neighboring apertures in the shadow mask as measured in a vertical direction perpendicular to a horizontal scanning line is chosen to be a value variable as a function of the distance away from the center of the phosphor deposited screen.
