There are provided a method for manufacturing a wet granular body of an electrode active material mixture from which granular bodies with almost uniform grain size can be obtained, the wet granular body itself, a method for manufacturing an electrode plate using the same, and a manufacturing apparatus for the same. There are provided mixing of obtaining a wet powder body in a pendular state in which solid-matter powder includes at least electrode active material powder and conductive material powder, liquid components exist in facing portions of solid powder but the liquid components are not linked one another in the facing portions, and spaces among the solid powder are entirely linked, and granulating of obtaining an assembly of the wet granular body of the electrode active material mixture by forming the wet powder obtained in the mixing process into grains.

A wet particle storage tank includes a tank body capable of storing wet particles containing particles and solvent. The tank body has an upper storage section having a supply port through which the wet particles are supplied, a lower storage section located below the upper storage section and having a discharge port through which the wet particles are discharged, and a bridge forming section provided between the upper storage section and the lower storage section. The bridge forming section facilitates formation of a bridge by the wet particles to block falling of the wet particles from the upper storage section to the lower storage section.

An electrode material containing active material powder is prepared. Dry classification of the electrode material is performed by a classifier. An electrode is manufactured by using the electrode material subjected to the dry classification. The classifier includes a mesh screen, a blade, and a motor. Breakage of the mesh screen is detected by monitoring either or both of an operation sound of the classifier and torque of the motor. The electrode material contained in the classifier will no longer be used for manufacturing of the electrode when breakage of the mesh screen is detected.

The controller includes control for vibrating the stirring blades.
